– The WWE WrestleMania 37 Night One Kickoff pre-show opens live from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida with Kayla Braxton welcoming us. She’s joined by Peter Rosenberg and WWE Hall of Famers Booker T, Jerry Lawler and JBL. They mention how it’s sprinkling in Tampa. The panel hypes tonight’s WWE Title match and the main event for the SmackDown Women’s Title. They then go over some of tonight’s matches before we go to a break. We come back to a discussion on Omos and AJ Styles challenging The New Day tonight. Everyone is looking forward to see what Omos can do tonight in his debut. The panel talks Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins next. Booker believes it will be the match of the show and JBL agrees. Lawler predicts Cesaro will win and says it will be the biggest night of his career. Booker, JBL and Rosenberg all agree.
The panel is looking pretty wet now, especially Rosenberg. We go to another break. Back from the break and we get a Cricket-sponsored video, The Miz’s WrestleMania Report. Miz briefly hypes tonight’s match with John Morrison against Bad Bunny and Damian Priest, and says we can get the full report on Twitter. We get a video package on Bad Bunny’s big year now, along with a look at the feud with Miz and Morrison. We come back and Kayla talks about having the WWE Universe back tonight. They let us hear how loud some of the nearby fans are. Booker reveals he will be on commentary for Bad Bunny’s match tonight. Booker says he will be there just in case anything happens. JBL and Lawler believe Miz and Morrison will get the win. Booker and Rosenberg go with Bunny and Priest. Kayla sends us to a look back at the 2020 and 2021 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies.
The panel gives it up for JBL and we see some fans chanting his name. The panel goes over the card for Night Two now. The panel is asked about their favorites now. Booker is looking forward to the WWE Title match, calling it a throwback match of sorts. That will be the opener. Lawler reveals he will be doing commentary for the Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon Steel Cage match. Lawler says there are a lot of things Shane can dive off of. JBL is looking forward to Cesaro vs. Rollins. Kayla is looking forward to the SmackDown Women’s Title match. Back from a break and Cricket sponsors photos of fans at home in their WrestleMania gear getting ready for the show. WE get a video package on tonight’s Steel Cage match now. We also get a discussion on tonight’s Tag Team Turmoil match. Sonya Deville has joined the panel. She’s interested in seeing the antics of Billie Kay and Carmella tonight. She thinks Billie is so entertaining. Deville says she will also have her eyes very close on tonight’s main event. Back from a break and we see more photos of fans at home preparing for tonight’s big event. Lawler says the rain has finally stopped, with 9 minutes until showtime. The panel runs down the card for Night One again. We get a video package for the WWE Title match. Lawler predicts Drew to win, Rosenberg goes with Lashley, Booker and JBL agree with Lashley winning. They talk some more and that’s the end of the Kickoff.
– WWE’s WrestleMania 37 Night One kicks off with WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon on the stage with the entire roster at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. He’s introduced by Greg Hamilton. Vince says the WWE Superstars perform tirelessly for the fans but over the past several months and weeks they always knew something was missing, the most important part of the show – the fans, the WWE Universe. Fans pop for Vince. Vince says as we emerge from this dreadful pandemic, on behalf of the WWE family, we’d like to say thank you and welcome you to… WrestleMania! The crowd pops and the Superstars cheer Vince on as well.
– We go to a quick video and come back to singer Bebe Rexha being introduced. She sings “America The Beautiful” as the roster looks on from the stage, including Jinder Mahal. Otis can be seen dancing. We get a flyover at Raymond James Stadium as Rexha and her guitarist finish up. The crowd pops as we go to a video package to kick off the show. The cold open has some pirate comedy in it, playing off the similar themed video package from WrestleMania 36.
– We’re live from Raymond James Stadium as Michael Cole welcomes us to ringside. He’s joined by Samoa Joe and Byron Saxton. They talk about the weather issues. We hear fans being given some kind of directions over the loudspeaker. Fans are seen moving around and covering themselves with ponchos. Cole talks about how the opening match is delayed due to the weather. Cole guarantees the action will resume in just a few moments after this delay. He sends us backstage to Sarah Schreiber with Shane McMahon. They agree that the opener gave goosebumps. He says having the fans back is such an energy booster. They go on about the Steel Cage match until WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and MVP interrupt. Lashley paces around as MVP goes on about how the time for talking is done. Drew McIntyre interrupts and they have words. MVP gets in between them. They’re finally separated by officials as MVP and Lashley are ushered away. Drew talks to Schreiber about trying to keep his emotions together. Drew goes on and he’s fired up, determined to have this match tonight. We go to Kayla Braxton with Peter Rosenberg and WWE Hall of Famer JBL. They talk about the energy before we go backstage to Kevin Patrick with RAW Tag Team Champions The New Day. They cut promos on Omos and AJ Styles.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E also joins The New Day to hype them up. We go back to Cole, Joe and Saxton at ringside. It looks like all of the fans on the floor are away from their seats now. Schreiber is backstage with Braun Strowman now, who is hyped up to punish Shane. Kayla, JBL and Rosenberg briefly discuss Vince McMahon’s opener. Kevin is backstage with Kevin Owens, asking about Sami Zayn. Owens takes the mic from Patrick and talks about his history with Sami. He promises to stomp Sami tomorrow night and if Logan Paul wants some, he can get it also. We go back to Cole and Joe, who are covered in rain ponchos now. Cole says the show will resume in 5 minutes. Saxton is apparently getting his mic fixed. Schreiber interviews Bianca Belair and she is ready to make history. Kevin talks to Seth Rollins about how he will beat Cesaro. Sarah is joined by The Miz and John Morrison now, who cut promos on Bad Bunny and Damian Priest. We end up getting the video package for tonight’s WWE Title match.
Fans are now filing back to their seats. Cole says the severe weather threat has passed. Cole is now joined by Joe and Saxton again, minus the ponchos. He says we are just minutes away from the official WrestleMania 37 start. They hype the opener and Cole says let’s get WrestleMania underway. Greg Hamilton introduces our WrestleMania 37 hosts for the night. Out comes 2020 Warrior Award recipient, Titus O’Neil. WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is introduced next. They both come out to the stage as fans cheer them on. Titus welcomes everyone to Raymond James Stadium. He then welcomes everyone around the world to his city, Tampa Bay. Rain, sleet or now, it doesn’t matter because the WWE Universe has the energy we’ve been wanting for a whole year, Titus says. Titus says for one year, one month and one day, we are back in business live. Hogan doesn’t think they heard Titus, brother. Titus repeats the one year, one month and one day line, and the crowd pops again. The Hulkster says we’re going to make history tonight and tomorrow night, and we’re going to do it right now with our very first match in front of the fans, brother. Titus says it won’t just be any match, it will be for the WWE Title. Hogan hypes up WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and his Hurt Lock, then Drew McIntyre and his Claymore Kick. Hogan has just one question to ask Titus… Titus asks what we’re going to do when Titus Worldwide… Hogan chimes in and ask what we’re going to do when The Hulkamaniacs… they join each other in asking what we’re gonna do when they run wild for two nights of WrestleMania. Hogan’s music starts back up as we go back to Cole, Joe and Saxton.
WWE Title Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Bobby Lashley
We go to the ring and out first comes Drew McIntyre with his sword. Drew gets a big pyro explosion on the stage before heading to the ring. Fans cheer Drew on as he hits the ring and more fireworks go off above the stadium. The lightning strikes on the screens as The Hurt Business comes out next – WWE Champion Bobby Lashley with MVP. Drew stares Lashley down as he marches to the ring. We get formal ring introductions from Mike Rome.
The bell rings and they lock up at 8:45pm. They go into the ropes and keep it locked. We get a stalemate as they break. They lock back up and Lashley goes behind. Drew breaks it and applies a headlock. They run the ropes and Lashley drops Drew with a shoulder but he gets right back up. They go for a test of strength but Drew takes control. They run the ropes again and Drew nails a big overhead throw. Drew taunts Lashley and they have words now.
Lashley mushes Drew in the face. Drew rocks him and they start trading strikes. Lashley beats Drew into the corner as MVP cheers him on. Drew turns it around in the corner and kicks away. Lashley fights free and beats Drew down against the ropes. Drew clotheslines Lashley over the top rope to the floor. Drew follows but Lashley sends him into the barrier kidney-first. Lashley goes on and tosses Drew into the barrier again as the referee counts. Lashley keeps control and drives Drew into another part of the barrier. Drew limps around as Lashley breaks the count. Lashley brings it back in and hits a thrust in the corner, then a neckbreaker for 2.
Lashley mounts Drew with right hands. Lashley beats Drew around and then puts a boot to the throat on the bottom rope. Drew gets up with big chops to the chest. Lashley shoves him into the corner. Lashley charges but hits the ring post shoulder-first as Drew moves. Drew drops Lashley by his arm and applies an armbar on the mat. Lashley fights it and unloads with right hands to break the hold.
Lashley with more strikes and thrusts in the corner now. Lashley stands tall with his arms in the air for a mixed reaction. Drew gets whipped in the corner but he comes out with a big clothesline and more offense. Drew ducks a clothesline and launches Lashley with an overhead throw, and a second throw. MVP looks concerned now. Drew with a neckbreaker and they’re both flat on their backs now. Drew kips up for a pop. Fans cheer Drew on as he stalks Lashley. Drew goes for the Futureshock DDT but Lashley rams him back into the corner. Lashley charges but runs into an elbow. Drew with another big overhead suplex for a 2 count.
Drew goes for the arm again but Lashley unloads with strikes to get free. Lashley levels Drew with a big clothesline. Lashley lifts Drew and slams him face-first for a close 2 count. MVP yells for Lashley to finish Drew. They tangle and Lashley lifts Drew, then drives him into the mat for another close 2 count. Lashley goes for The Hurt Lock but Drew resists. Lashley with knees to the gut now. Lashley scoops Drew on his shoulders but Drew gets free. They fight out of the corner now. Drew with big elbow strikes in the corner. Drew with the inverted Alabama Slam, slamming Lashley on his face for another close 2 count.
McIntyre takes Lashley to the top now, chopping him in the chest. Drew climbs up and works Lashley over. Drew goes for the superplex but Lashley resists and they both go down on the top turnbuckle, sitting up. Lashley rocks Drew. Drew applies a Kimura-like submission on the top turnbuckle Lashley fights free and knocks Drew upside down into a Tree of Woe. Drew counters and launches Lashley to the mat. Drew gets to his feet for a big pop now. Drew charges for a Claymore Kick but Lashley catches him with a huge chokeslam for a pop. Drew kips up and Lashley can’t believe it.
They start brawling with big strikes now. Drew with another big belly-to-belly suplex. Drew nails the Futureshock DDT, and a second Futureshock. Drew keeps it locked in and hits a third Futureshock in the middle of the ring. Lashley still kicks out at 2 and Drew can’t believe it. Drew sits up on his knees as Lashley slowly gets up.
Drew charges for a Claymore but Lashley falls to the mat and MVP helps him to the floor to safety. Drew runs the ropes and leaps out, taking down MVP and Lashley to the floor. The referee counts and Drew brings Lashley back in at the 4 count. Drew goes to the top and comes off but Lashley catches him. Lashley tries for The Hurt Lock but Drew resists. Lashley launches Drew and then drops him face-first into the mat. Lashley yells at Drew to get up now. Drew fights off The Hurt Lock but they end up in the corner. Drew charges but Lashley goes for another big Spinebuster. It’s somewhat blocked as Drew takes them down for another Kimura attempt. Drew tightens it on the mat as the referee checks on Lashley. Lashley breaks it by getting the bottom rope.
Drew sits up first and nods his head to get back into it. Lashley is also slowly getting up. They get up and trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Lashley sends Drew face-first into the top turnbuckle as Drew delivers elbow strikes. Lashley runs into a kick. Drew with a Glasgow Kiss headbutt into the corner. Drew charges for a Claymore but MVP briefly distracts him with a yell from ringside. Lashley takes advantage and takes back control. Drew struggles but Lashley gets The Hurt Lock applied now. Drew starts fading.
Lashley keeps the hold locked in as Drew fades to one knee. The referee checks him. Drew starts to rally for a pop. Drew breaks it using the turnbuckles but Lashley comes back up with the hold still applied. Drew fades back to his knees, then down on the mat. The referee calls the match for Lashley to retain.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
– After the match, Lashley takes the WWE Title and raises it in the air as his music hits. MVP joins him for the celebration. Lashley poses in the corner now as we go to replays. Drew sits up in the corner and recovers as MVP and Lashley celebrate.
– Titus O’Neil is backstage with 2020 WWE Hall of Famers the nWo – Hulk Hogan, Sean Waltman, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash. Bayley walks up but they’re not feeling her schtick. She says she hosts a popular talk show, the “Ding Dong, Hello!” show, and if Titus and Hulk need her help hosting the show tonight, she’s here. They’re not interested and when she goes to do a “Too Sweet” gesture, she’s left hanging.
Tag Team Turmoil: Lana and Naomi vs. The Riott Squad vs. Carmella and Billie Kay vs. Natalya and Tamina Snuka vs. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke
Back from a break and Greg Hamilton is in the ring with rules for tonight’s Tag Team Turmoil match. Out first comes the team of Lana and Naomi. The winners of this match will advance to Night Two as the new #1 contenders to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Out next comes Carmella and Billie Kay.
Naomi and Carmella start out. Naomi unloads with kicks and a dropkick to drop Carmella. Lana tags in and takes Carmella out from the corner, then bulldogs her. Lana with a double knees to the back against the ropes. Carmella turns it around and slams Lana by her hair. Carmella shows off some. She takes Lana to the corner and Kay tags in. They double team Lana now. Kay works Lana over and talks some trash. Naomi comes in and turns it around on Kay. Lana gets another tag and barely spends time in before tagging Naomi back in for a double team to Kay. Carmella breaks Naomi’s pin up.
We see Jax and Baszler watching the match backstage. Naomi tosses Carmella to the apron. Kay takes advantage and rolls Naomi up from behind. Lana and Naomi have been eliminated. Out next comes The Riott Squad – Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott.
Liv rocks Carmella on the apron and goes to work on Kay. Ruby comes in and they double team Kay now. Kay sends Ruby to the floor and drops Liv, who lands bad on her shoulder. Carmella tags back in and unloads on Liv in the corner. Carmella does the moonwalk now, then hits a Bronco Buster on Liv. More back and forth now. Kay drops Ruby with a boot as she tries to help Liv. Kay ends up rolling Liv up for a pin but the referee sees Carmella help her and it’s no good. Liv drops Kay with double knees and holds it as Ruby nails a big senton from the top. Kay is pinned for the elimination.
Carmella is upset. She shoves Ruby and superkicks Liv to the mat. Out next comes Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke. They slip on the wet stage it appears. Dana tags in and goes to the top for a super Blockbuster to Ruby. Liv breaks the pin up. Dana argues with the referee and mounts Ruby with right hands out of frustration. Ruby fights Dana off but Dana hits a spinning neckbreaker for a 2 count. More back and forth between the two teams. Liv unloads on Mandy for a close 2 count.
Ruby tags back in and they double team Rose. Ruby levels Rose with a Riott Kick but Dana breaks the pin up. Dana gets knocked to the floor. Liv tags back in and kicks Rose. Rose fights her off and hits a big shoulder thrust in the corner. Ruby comes in but Rose dumps her with a suplex. Liv fights off both opponents. Rose goes for a superplex on Liv and hits it after Dana tags in. Dana goes to the top and hits a Swanton to Liv for a 2 count as Liv reverses it and eliminates Dana and Rose. Out next comes Natalya and Tamina Snuka.
Natalya goes for a Sharpshooter on Liv to start but Liv rolls her for a 2 count. Natalya slams Liv into the top rope. Tamina tags in and unloads on Liv in the corner. Natalya tags back in for the double team sitdown powerbomb. Liv kicks out at 2. Tamina kicks Ruby to the floor to stop her from making the save. Natalya rams Liv into the corner for knee strikes. Tamina tags in and unloads on Liv with knees of her own in the corner. Ruby finally tags in and they end up double teaming Tamina in their corner. Ruby with a running kick to Tamina’s face. Liv tags back in and drops Tamina and holds her like they did before, allowing Ruby to hit the senton from the top. Tamina kicks out and Liv can’t believe it.
Ruby tags back in and gets sent to the corner. Snuka superkicks Liv as she charges. Tamina goes to the top and kicks Ruby away. Natalya tags in. They go for the Hart Attack to Ruby and nail it in the middle of the ring. Natalya walks around smiling. She goes for the Sharpshooter on Ruby but wastes some time. She drops the legs and points at Tamina. Tamina tags in and goes to the top. Tamina hits the big Superfly Splash on Ruby and covers for the pin to win and become the new #1 contenders.
Winners and New #1 Contenders: Natalya and Tamina
– After the match, we see Jax and Baszler looking on in the back, not worried at all. Natalya and Snuka begin celebrating as the music hits. Cole and Graves confirm the match for Night Two.

Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins
We go back to the ring and out comes Seth Rollins. He hits the ring and pyro goes off. We get videos showing what led to this match. Cesaro is out next to pyro and another big pop.
Cesaro immediately charges with a big uppercut. He goes for an early Cesaro Swing but can’t get it. Cesaro with more offense but Rollins blocks another Swing attempt. Cesaro hits a big corkscrew springboard uppercut for a pop. Rollins tries to get a breather on the floor but Cesaro stops him and rocks him with a knee. More back and forth now. Rollins with a big Buckle Bomb for a 2 count.
Cesaro fights up with strikes in the middle of the ring. Rollins sends him to the apron but Cesaro rocks him. Cesaro goes to the top but Rollins runs up and nails a big superplex. Rollins holds it and goes right into Falcon Arrow for a close 2 count.
They trade more stiff offense now. Cesaro unloads with uppercuts in the corner as fans cheer him on and the referee warns him. Cesaro backs off and plays to the crowd for a pop. Cesaro with a big running uppercut into the opposite corner, and again. Cesaro levels Rollins with a clothesline for a 2 count. Cesaro plays to the crowd for another pop. They want to see Rollins swing. Rollins blocks the Swing and rolls him for a 2 count. Cesaro tries again but Rollins gets the bottom rope. Rollins counters a move and lands on his feet, dropping Cesaro with an enziguri.
Cesaro blocks the Stomp and this time he nails the Cesaro Swing for a big pop as fans count along. Cesaro’s arm is bothering him. Fans chant “one more time!” now. Cesaro goes for the Neutralizer in the middle of the ring but it’s blocked. Cesaro hits the turnbuckle with the running uppercut. Rollins springboards in with a knee to the face. Rollins with a Slingblade. Rollins goes on and hits a big corkscrew splash for a close 2 count.
Cesaro blocks the Ripcord and nails the Neutralizer in the middle of the ring for a close 2 count. Cesaro shows some frustration now. Cesaro with big strikes now. Rollins blocks another Neutralizer attempt and drops Cesaro with The Pedigree for another close pin attempt.
Rollins wastes some time, showing off and bragging. Cesaro tries to capitalize but Rollins goes on. Rollins ends up dropping Cesaro with a kick to the back of the neck but Cesaro hangs on. Rollins waits in the corner for Cesaro to get up. He charges for the big Stomp but Cesaro turns it into a big uppercut. Cesaro with Rollins on his shoulders now, spinning him around for his UFO move, with no arms. Cesaro dumps Rollins to the mat and then stands tall for another pop.
Cesaro with another big Swing in the middle of the ring now as fans count along. Cesaro breaks his own record with the number of swings, then nails the Neutralizer in the middle of the ring for the pin to win.
Winner: Cesaro
– After the match, an emotional Cesaro recovers and stands tall as the crowd gives him a standing ovation. Graves says you can bet the locker room is doing the same thing. Cesaro gets up and plays to the crowd to celebrate. We go to replays. Cesaro continues his celebration as the announcers play up how big the moment is.
– We see how Jey Uso won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown last night. We also see how SmackDown Tag Team Champions Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler retained in the Fatal 4 Way match. Kayla Braxton is joined by Roode and Ziggler now. They talk about being here for the big event tonight. Kayla asks about the other tag team matches. They give props to AJ Styles and Omos when talking about how they might defeat The New Day for the RAW Tag Team Titles. They’re off to take photos with the WWE Hall of Famers now.
RAW Tag Team Titles Match: Omos and AJ Styles vs. The New Day
We go back to the stage and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E to do the intro for The New Day’s theme song. He introduces RAW Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. They come out and The New Day briefly reunites on the stage, dancing around and getting hyped up. Kofi and Xavier head to the ring as the fireworks go off above the stadium. Out next comes AJ Styles and Omos. This will be the in-ring debut of Omos, who is not wearing any kind of traditional gear.
AJ and Omos hit the ring and pose as more pyro goes off. Omos takes off his jacket and now he looks a little bit more like a wrestler. It looks like Kofi and Omos are going to start off, but The New Day wisely lures AJ in. The bell hits and Kofi goes at it with AJ. They trade counters. AJ blocks the SOS as the reversals and quick pin attempts continue. AJ grounds Kofi with a headlock now. Kofi turns it around and tosses AJ to the mat. Kofi taunts Omos now.
Woods goes wild with Francesca at ringside. AJ goes back in but Kofi dropkicks him. They run the ropes and Woods trips AJ from the floor, allowing Kofi to splash him. Woods tags in and comes in from the apron with an elbow drop. Woods grounds AJ now, keeping him away from Omos and bragging about it. Kofi tags in for the quick double team as they keep AJ in their corner. Kofi beats AJ down. Kofi stomps away with the Unicorn Stomp and Woods tags in to keep it up. Kofi tags right back in with more stomps. Woods tags back in and Kofi launches him at AJ in the corner. They continue taunting Omos as Woods covers AJ for 2.
Omos is getting angry and wants a piece of the action. Woods grounds AJ in the middle of the ring. AJ tries to make it to Omos and the tag is close but Woods stops it, taking AJ right back to the mat for a 2 count. Kofi tags in and they double team AJ with chops and kicks. Kofi bulldogs AJ for another 2 count.
AJ finally gets free and runs around the ring to run back in and tag Omos in, but Woods still cuts him off and stops him. The New Day continue to dominate AJ with offense. Kofi with another close 2 count. AJ ducks a clothesline and goes for Omos but Woods grabs him by the tights. AJ counters and tries again but Woods once again stops the tag attempt. Woods drags AJ back to their corner and Kofi tags in, flying off the top with a big splash for 2. Woods goes to the top for the double team but AJ kicks Kofi, sending him to the floor. AJ has an opening and he sees it. Omos finally gets the tag as Woods leaps off the top and misses AJ.
Omos slowly comes in staring at Woods and smiling. Woods backs up but gets ready to fight. Woods with kicks that do nothing to Omos. He calls Woods a bitch. Woods dropkicks Omos but he barely moves. Kofi encourages Woods while AJ yells at Omos. Omos drops Woods with ease. Kofi comes off the top but Omos takes him out with little effort also, calling him a weak bitch. The New Day is shocked.
Kofi runs at Omos but gets launched in the corner. Omos with a big charging elbow to Woods in the corner, then the same to Kofi in the opposite corner. Omos smiles and scoops Woods for a big backbreaker over the knee. Omos holds Woods over his knee and bends him. Omos picks Kofi up with one arm and drops him over the knee.
AJ leaps onto Omos’ shoulders and then off with a big Phenomenal Forearm to take Woods back out, sending him to the floor. Kofi is alone with Omos now and he’s dazed. Omos nails a huge slam in the middle of the ring. Omos then puts one foot on Kofi in the middle of the ring for the pin to win the titles.
Winner and New RAW Tag Team Champions: Omos and AJ Styles
– After the match, AJ’s music hits as he and Omos stand tall in the middle of the ring with the titles. They celebrate as we go to replays.
– Back from a break and we see the Steel Cage being lowered around the ring. We get a video package for the next match.
Steel Cage Match: Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler joins Cole and Saxton for guest commentary. Out first comes Shane McMahon to the cage. He’s wearing a custom Brains vs. Braun jersey. Out next comes Braun Strowman to a big pop as the smoke and pyro goes off.
Braun is attacked at ringside by Elias and Jaxson Ryker. They unload with steel chair shots as Shane watches from the cage door. They focus on Braun’s leg and now Shane pulls Braun into the cage. Shane grabs one of the chairs and starts beating Braun around the cage with it. Braun starts to fight back and stops Shane from leaving the cage. Braun warns Shane that he’s going to get these hands.
Shane unloads with quick punches and kicks the hurt leg. Shane ducks Braun’s punches and delivers more body shots, and a kick to the hip. Shane with more strikes. He goes to climb the cage but slips from the rain earlier. Braun grabs him but Shane fights from the top rope. Shane rips a piece of sheet metal from the top of the cage and starts beating Braun around the ring with it.
Shane covers but Braun easily kicks out. Braun stops Shane from crawling for the door again. Braun launches Shane across the ring and then sends him face-first into the steel of the cage wall, and again with force. Braun levels Shane again but his own leg is bothering him. Braun continues to punish Shane with the steel. Braun with a big clubbing shot to the chest in the middle of the ring as fans cheer him on. Braun yells out and continues stalking Shane.
Braun scoops Shane for the running powerslam but his leg hurts him and Shane slides out. Shane sends Braun face-first into the steel several times, then hits the hurt knee. Shane jumps up and drops Braun with a big DDT. Shane climbs to the top turnbuckle for Coast 2 Coast now. He hits it without a chair or weapon. Shane lands hard but manages to cover Braun for a close 2 count.
Elias and Ryker are back now. They start climbing the cage on one side. Shane also climbs up as they try to help him get over the top. Braun runs and hits the cage wall, knocking Elias and Ryker off to the floor. Shane also falls off, landing on the mat down below. Shane climbs up to escape but Braun stops him. They reach the top but Shane grabs a toolbox from the very top. He smashes Braun in the face with it, sending him down to the mat.
Shane starts climbing down the cage wall now. He makes it half way to the floor on the other side but Braun reaches through the cage wall and stops him by grabbing his hand and fingers. Braun rips part of the cage wall off and peels it open. Shane is shocked. Braun pulls Shane back into the cage through the hole he’s created. Braun unloads with body shots while they’re on the top rope now. Braun pushes Shane up to the top of the cage now. Braun joins him on top of the cage as fans pop. Braun is standing on both feet on the very top of the cage. He picks Shane up by his throat and yells at him, asking who’s stupid now? Braun launches Shane from the very top of the cage, down to the mat.
Braun stands tall on the top of the cage as fans cheer him on. Shane is laid out flat on his back in the middle of the ring. Braun climbs back down to the mat. Braun talks about how this is for every person who has ever been called stupid or been bullied. Braun scoops Shane and hits the running powerslam in the middle of the ring now, holding it for the pin to win.
Winner: Braun Strowman
– After the match, Braun stands tall as his music hits. We go to replays. Braun continues his celebration as fans cheer him on.
– Back from the break and we see pyro going off around the stadium as the crowd pops.
– Cole is about to send us to a video package looking back at the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremonies earlier this week. Bayley interrupts and annoys them at the announce table. We get the video package as fans start chanting “Becky Lynch!” now. We come back and Mike Rome is in the ring. He introduces the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame Class and we see them on the stage posing – JBL, William Shatner (who is not here), The Bella Twins, Jushin Thunder Liger (who is also not here), Warrior Award recipient Titus O’Neil, and the family of The British Bulldog. The nWo music hits next and out comes Hulk Hogan, Sean Waltman, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. Rome calls for one last applause for the 2020 Hall of Famers.
– We get a break, including a promo for WrestleMania 38 from AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas, narrated by WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin.
Bad Bunny and Damian Priest vs. The Miz and John Morrison
We go back to the ring and out comes WWE Hall of Famer Booker T for guest commentary. He joins Cole, Joe and Saxton. A bunch of people dressed as Easter Bunnies come hopping down the ramp and around the ringside area. The bunnies fill the ring next and out comes The Miz and John Morrison with pyro. They sing their “Hey Hey Hop Hop” song on the way to the ring, joining the bunnies. We get a long video package looking at Bad Bunny’s successful year and his time with WWE next. We go back to the ring and out comes Damian Priest as the pyro goes off. Bad Bunny’s music starts playing next. We get a look at a big 18 wheeler truck arriving outside of the stadium. Bunny is kneeling down on the top. The truck enters the stadium and Bunny is on the stage now. He jumps around and gets hyped up as the pyro goes off. Bunny enters the ring and joins Priest as Miz and Morrison look on.
Priest starts with Miz and approaches Miz with a fist in the corner but Miz and Morrison yell out for him to stop. They want Bunny to start. Fans cheer as Priest tags Bunny to start. Bunny feeds off the crowd as he sizes Miz up. Miz taunts him and Bunny drops him with a right hand. They go at it again and Miz gets rocked a second time as fans cheer Bunny on.
Bunny ends up unloading in the corner but Miz turns it around and holds him there. Miz backs off and Bunny nails a double leg takedown, unloading on the mat. Miz turns it around and kicks Bunny in the gut, then works him over on the mat. Miz takes it back to the corner and rakes Bunny’s face over the top rope while taunting Booker T. Bunny counters another move and nails an arm drag, sending Miz to the floor for a breather.
Miz runs back in but Bunny nails a takedown, then a roll up for 2. Morrison calms Miz down some now. Miz calls for a test of strength but he kicks Bunny and beats him down. Miz launches Bunny face-first into the second rope and he hits hard. Miz has words with Priest now. Bunny keeps fighting from the apron and comes in. Bunny catches Miz a spinning back fist. Bunny with a head scissors, spinning him around and sending him flying. Morrison tags in and charges but Bunny ends up dropping him with a headbutt.
Bunny with a running splash in the corner, and another but this time Morrison meets him with an elbow. Miz drops Bunny with a cheap shot from the apron. More offense from Morrison and Miz as Miz comes back in. The referee checks on Bunny and Priest wants in. Miz keeps knocking Bunny down while taunting Priest. Bunny mounts offense again but Miz stops the tag. Bunny rolls Miz for a 2 count. Miz levels Bunny with a boot to the face. Miz with his signature DDT now. Miz wastes some time while looking over at Priest, who wants the tag.
Miz drags Bunny to their corner, then stomps away, kicking him to the floor. Morrison grabs Bunny and slams him face-first into the announce table while the referee is distracted with Priest. Morrison rolls Bunny back in and tags in. Miz kicks Bunny on the way out. Morrison does the Spin-a-rooni to taunt Booker T. Miz tags back in and Morrison holds Bunny. Miz talks some trash and punches him in the gut. Miz tries for a cheap shot on Priest and angers him. The referee is distracted with Priest again, allowing Miz and Morrison to double team Bunny some more. Miz yells out to the crowd for more boos.
Miz takes Bunny back to the corner and mounts him, keeping control. Miz runs into a big boot int he corner. Bunny then drops Morrison as he charges. Fans pop as Bunny goes on and drops Miz with a tornado DDT. Priest rallies now as Bunny shakes it off and looks to crawl for the tag. Miz grabs the leg but Bunny tags anyway. Priest comes in and rocks Miz, then Morrison, then yanks Morrison over the top rope. Miz misses a kick and Priest nails him with a heel kick. Priest unloads on Morrison now, then clotheslines him for a pop.
Priest gets hyped up and plays to the crowd. Priest fires an arrow into the air, then hits the running back elbows to each competitor in the corners. Priest launches Miz at Morrison and they both go down. Priest with the South of Heaven chokeslam for a 2 count as Morrison breaks it up. All four are in the ring now. Priest grabs Miz while Bunny grabs Morrison and they both drive them into the mat for dual 2 counts. Miz and Morrison barely kick out just in time. Bunny whips Priest into the ropes and he leaps out, taking Miz and Morrison down on the floor. Priest points at Bunny now and fans pop. Bunny goes to the top and nails the dive, taking Miz and Morrison down on the floor.
Priest and Miz tangle now in the middle of the ring now. Miz counters and drops Priest with the Skull Crushing Finale but Bunny runs in and breaks the pin up just in time. Fans chant for Bunny now. Morrison pulls Bunny to the floor but Bunny rocks him and hits a big Bunny Destroyer on the floor. Miz is shocked at what he just saw. Priest kicks Miz away from the corner. Priest then calls for the finish and puts Miz on his shoulders. Bunny goes to the top and hits a crossbody to bring Miz off Priest’s shoulders. Bunny covers Miz for the pin to win his in-ring debut.
Winners: Bad Bunny and Damian Priest
– After the match, fans erupt as Priest and Bunny celebrate the big win. The music hits and we go to replays. Bunny and Priest pose in the middle of the ring to continue the celebration.
– We get a look back at WWE Champion Bobby Lashley retaining over Drew McIntyre in the opener. The announcers go over the card for Night Two now.
– We get a video package for tonight’s main event.
SmackDown Women’s Title Match: Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks
We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event and out first comes Bianca Belair with pyro. SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks is out next. WWE also uses drones to form their logos in the air. Banks hits the ring and raises the title on the apron as fireworks explode around the top of the stadium. We get formal ring introductions from Hamilton.
Banks is emotional but Belair is visibly crying as the bell hits. They nod at each other and get serious before locking up. They take it to the corner and Banks backs off, showing off. Fans do dueling chants now. They lock up again and Banks drops Belair. Belair kips up and talks trash in her face. They shove each other now. Belair ends up catching a leap frog but Banks turns it into a roll-up attempt. Banks dodges a standing moonsault and they go at it with more back and forth action. They talk more trash and Banks kicks Belair in the stomach.
They tangle and Banks sends Belair to the floor, then follows up with the baseball slide. Belair fights in from the apron but Banks drops her neck over the top rope. Banks sends Belair back to the floor and the referee counts. Banks runs the ropes and nails a suicide dive for a pop, but Belair stands right up and she’s carrying Banks now. Belair powers Banks up and presses her high in the air, walking up the steel steps with her. Belair dumps Banks back into the ring. Fans cheer her on for that impressive sequence.
Belair shakes her head and charges and Belair misses. Banks dropkicks Belair for 2. Belair with a shoulder tackle. Belair scoops Banks and does squats while talking trash. She slams her but Banks blocks another moonsault. Banks controls Belair by her long hair now, kicking her and then hitting a running knee for a close 2 count.
Banks mounts Belair and unloads with strikes, showing some frustration. Banks keeps on and the referee has to warn her as she works Belair around the ring. Banks grounds Belair now with a knee in her back. Banks uses the arms to tighten it as the referee checks on Belair. Banks ends up missing the double knees as Belair catches her. Belair launches Banks to the mat and she lands hard. Banks tries to use the long hair again but Belair uses her own hair to pull Banks into the ring post. Banks charges with double knees into the barrier but Belair moves and Banks lands hard. They both make it back in right before the 10 count.
Belair with a vertical suplex now, holding it in the air and using the top ropes to keep slingshotting her back up. Banks fights with knees to the head but Belair raises her again and finally dropping her. They’re both down now. They get up at the same time. Banks drops Belair. More back and forth now. Belair levels Banks and runs over her with shoulders, then a dropkick. Belair kips up for a pop. Belair with a running standing Shooting Star Press. Belair with a big shoulder thrust into the corner now as the referee warns her. Banks kicks her to get out of the corner. Belair grabs Banks and hits the Glam Slam in the middle of the ring.
Belair goes to the top for the big 450 Splash but Banks gets her knees up and Belair lands hard. More back and forth now. Banks with a kick to the face. Banks charges again and leaps for a hurricanrana but Belair turns it into a powerbomb. She holds it and powers back up for another powerbomb, stacking Banks for a 1 count. Belair powers up for a third powerbomb but Banks counters and slams Belair face-first into the mat. Banks with kicks and a knee in the corner. They go on and Banks counters a big move with a springboard tornado DDT for 2.
Banks shows some frustration now. Banks goes to the top for the Frogsplash and awkwardly hits it, like she may have went for the Meteora and changed it in mid-air. Belair kicks out at 2. Belair goes to the apron for a breather but Banks follows and keeps control. Banks takes it to the floor and launches Belair into the steel steps. Banks stops to rant at the announcers. She comes back in with Belair. Belair blocks the Bank Statement. Banks still takes her down and turns a submission into the Bank Statement in the middle of the ring. Belair screams out and tries to get the bottom rope but Banks keeps her locked.
They tangle more on the mat but Belair gets the bottom rope to break the hold. Banks takes full advantage of the count. Banks holds Belair and talks trash in her face now. This angers Belair, who takes Banks to the corner and stomps away. Belair takes Banks to the top now as fans cheer her on. Belair climbs up for the superplex but Banks fights back, sending Belair to the mat. Belair goes for the flipping kick into the corner but Banks hits her. Banks has Belair stuck upside down in the corner now. Banks poses on the top rope and goes for the double stomp but has to roll through, possibly tweaking her knee. Banks charges in the corner with the double knees but she hits hard after Belair pulls herself up to avoid it.
Belair pulls herself to the top and hits the 450 Splash but Banks kicks out right before the 3 count. Belair awkwardly freaks out and can’t believe Banks kicked out. Graves says she may have been emotionally destroyed there. Belair scoops Banks for the KOD but Banks lands on her feet, pulling Belair’s hair. Belair pulls back and gets control of it. Banks charges but Belair whips her hard with the hair in the chest. The sound rings out across the stadium.
Banks blocks the KOD and jumps for the Backstabber, but that is also blocked. Belair comes back and hits the KOD for the pin in the middle of the ring to win the title.
Winner and New SmackDown Women’s Champion: Bianca Belair
– After the match, Belair begins celebrating as her music hits. Fans cheer her on and we go to replays. Belair goes wild with the title and we also see her family celebrating at ringside. Banks looks on from ringside, down on the ground with a big mark on her ribs from that last hair strike. The fireworks go off around Raymond James Stadium as Belair raises the title in the air and fans continue cheering her on. WrestleMania 37 Night One goes off the air as Belair poses with the SmackDown Women’s Title.
