– Disco Inferno says ICE won’t stop enforcing the law, confronting them is pointless and dangerous, and people should avoid escalating protests and mind their own business.
Here's some advice for people with common sense. ICE is not going to cease their law enforcement operations. Confronting them is not only useless, they aren't stopping, and if your protest rises in aggression you might get killed. Mind your business is the best advice.

@Joseph
Once again, either you aren’t grasping what I’m saying, or you flat out don’t understand the gravity of the topic. First, there has to be a valid just cause to stop and detain someone. A car cutting a corner close isn’t justification alone to stop a driver from DWI, there has to be something of substance to warrant the stop. I’ve said many times that Trump and Homeland Security are exploring ways for ICE to be vested with powers to enter a private home or private business without a warrant to detain, search, and arrest. Trump’s whole goal is to expand ICE’s power versus what the agency had under previous presidents. I don’t know how many more times I need to say this before you understand. You clearly have a narrow view of reasonable suspicion. One that would make you a prosecutor’s dream as a juror.
As for check points, glad you brought that up. Many states, such as Texas, New Jersey, Iowa, Michigan, and others have banned those. Reason being: Because a DUI or DWI checkpoint constitutes a warrantless search. While Michigan v. Sitz stated that on a Federal level, such checkpoints are not a violation of the constitution, these states and others have banned the practice. Which would give challenge to possibly reverse and overturn Sitz should SCOTUS entertain the argument.
@Disgruntled Jobber
They are trying to do away with warrants signed by a judge. They want to use administrative warrants. The same warrants they used when Obama was in office.
@Luke
They do. I think it’s the FBI or US Marshall’s but can’t be sure. ICE is just dedicated to immigration
@Joseph
Neither one. I’m talking about something dedicated. Also something that is getting the same government support as ICE.
Also, ICE is not dedicated to just immigration. https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2026/02/04/qtzp-f04.html
This is also a great example of how they and present day US are perceived by the rest of the free world. Or rather by the free world. I don’t think you’re still a part of it.
@Joseph:
Once again, I don’t know how I can explain this so you’ll understand, so I’ll just repeat myself and hope that it sticks. The Trump administration is seeking to do away with ALL forms of warrants. Warrants from judges and administrative warrants.

@Joseph
I’ve seen that article before, and not long after that article, Stephen Miller appeared on multiple news outlets saying that even waiting for an administrative warrant would delay ICE and put lives at risk.
You can point out how ICE currently requires an administrative warrant to gain entry all you want. Which clearly you are. I’ll pay attention to how Trump advisors like Miller speak of their desire to do an end run around the constitution to achieve their goals.
@Luke
Mainly they’re for immigration but they’re being lent out to Italy for security and that.
@ Disgruntled Jobber
I guess that’s another area where we disagree. I don’t put much stock in what an advisor says. I don’t mean just for Trump. I mean any President. Never really paid any attention to what they said.
You can point out how ICE currently requires an administrative warrant to gain entry all you want. Which clearly you are.
“You can point out how ICE currently requires an administrative warrant to gain entry all you want. Which clearly you are.’
Okay 👌
@Joseph
I guess you really haven’t been paying attention the last ten years. Restrictive immigration, rollbacks in rights for the LBGT community, getting Roe v. Wade overturned, and many more items on Trump’s agenda have come his advisors. You personally might not put stock in what an advisor says, but Trump is having them set administrative policy.
