Triple H addressed the issue of childhood obesity while voicing strong support for nutrition changes associated with the Donald Trump administration, repeatedly stressing how serious the problem has become. He called the statistics “mind-boggling”, pointing out a “270 percent increase [in childhood obesity] from 50 years ago” and emphasizing that “one in five kids is obese.” He warned that, statistically, “they will spend the rest of their life obese” and that “they will have chronic diseases because of it.”
Levesque stressed that the focus needs to be on prevention, not delayed treatment, explaining that “the biggest, significant change you can make is exercise and nutrition” and that “it’s not treating it down the line, it’s treating it now while you’re young.” He made it clear that he believes the issue is fixable, stating plainly, “We can change that.”
He also pushed back on critics of the updated food pyramid, saying, “I truly believe that most nutritionists that disagree with it, it’s because they were taught wrong from the beginning.” According to Triple H, “they were taught nutrition in the wrong way,” and that’s why he believes “the flip of the food pyramid is the correct call.” He added that he feels strongly that this approach is “in children’s best interest.”
Beyond diet, Triple H emphasized daily physical activity and personal responsibility, saying people need to “put down their phones, get out there, exercise.” He urged kids to “get healthy, work out, play, go outside, ride a bike, play basketball, play baseball,” and to “do something active every day.” He closed by tying health to long-term success, promising that “the accomplishment that you feel from doing those things will lead to success in the rest of your life.”

As first lady, Michelle Obama composed a plan that would make school lunches heathier, and programs that would show children how to make heathier food choices. Republicans voted it down. She came back with a cheaper and slimmed down version, Republicans defeated that measure as well. They then refused a vote on a third package, allowing it to die.
Republicans don’t care about children, not in the abstract they don’t. They are currently fine with children being used as target practice in schools. They don’t want to fund school breakfasts, don’t want to fund after school programs. When it comes to children, George Carlin summed conservative republicans the best:

I don’t know much about Michelle Obama’s Healthy; Hunger-Free Kids Act (HHFKA) of 2010, but I read that it increased food waste and limited food options. Kids weren’t paying for school lunches because instead of being able to buy something as simple as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with chocolate milk they had to get a whole wheat peanut butter and jelly with either low fat or no fat chocolate milk. These decreased food options led to a decrease in student participation and that meant that school cafeterias were losing money. The federal government shouldn’t be telling kids what they should and shouldn’t be eating. It’s not their job to parent other people’s kids. It should be left at the local level and there should be options. But the problem as far as I’m concerned isn’t really what’s in the school lunches but the lack of activity amongst students these days. Not just students but everyone in general. When I was a kid, we were all over the place. Riding our bikes or walking to go do stuff like play ball on the street. Kids don’t seem to do these things anymore. I’m not even sure kids ride bikes anymore. They seem to always be on their phones. We are fat, not because of what we eat. That’s part of the problem, but because instead of getting up to change the channel when the remote isn’t working we just watch whatever is on.

One thing we could do is remove vending machines from schools. In schools vending machines have to have what they call smart snacks. These are snacks that are supposed to be healthier. Baked Cheetos and baked barbecue chips are on the list of acceptable snacks. Same with diet pop. Diet pop isn’t much better than regular pop.

Covid showed us this. Look at how many people followed orders. People were actually reporting other people to hotlines and to the authorities for not wearing a mask. Drugs work, it’s just that the side effects are never worth it and you basically need to take them until the day you die. That’s how drugs work. The legal ones are much more dangerous than the other kind.
He felt the need to mention RFK Jr. because stupid people need idols. You misunderstood him. He wasn’t talking about eating right and taking care of yourself, for which if you need a politician you’ve pretty much failed as a human being. He was talking about whatever one of his idols is talking about.
Why is everyone now fixated on projections? People, it really isn’t that hard to make insulting others at least a little entertaining. But it needs to have at least a touch of any kind of truth. You can’t just say to someone “you have two assholes” and expect the whole world to go giddy like DB when ICE kills someone. Especially when no one knows if that someone has even one.

Drugs do work. There are people who have to take drugs for their diabetes or other medical problems and taking the drugs really helps them. Just not sure about weight loss drugs. At least I’ve never seen anyone take them and have them actually work.

Yes, both sides. This is why I avoided making my statement to be about Democrats vs Republicans because it wasn’t about that. It wasn’t an attack on them or even an attack on people who wore masks. It was an attack on those people who because they were told to do something, did it and if other people didn’t comply, they reported them. I imagine those people back in that time and I can just see them turning in their Jewish neighbors because they were told to do so.
