More two night WWE events in the works, Danielson on his current health
– TKO CEO Mark Shapiro (via UBS Global Media) says WWE has plans to make even more PLE’s two night events
“It’s all a progression, a natural evolution. WrestleMania was a big hit for us to expand. As you look at all these PLEs, depending on the partner, I think there is absolutely room to advance some more of them to 2 days.”
— Bryan Danielson spoke with Denise Salcedo about his current health and future in wrestling. He shared, “Yeah, so my neck is not great… it’s causing me to not sleep good,” comparing the experience to the sleeplessness of early parenthood but adding, “I’ve just become used to not sleeping.” Despite this, he said, “At the end of the day, I’m happy,” especially enjoying family time, particularly during Thanksgiving, which he described as “unbelievable.”
When asked about surgery, Danielson said, “I’d like to avoid it as much as possible,” calling it “a last resort, not a first resort.” He admitted, “I’m a little kooky… I’m going to try some other things first before going under the knife.”
Regarding a potential return to the ring, he stated, “If I had to guess right now… I would say it’s 50-50.” However, he concluded on a positive note, saying, “I loved the time I got to spend doing this. But I also love what I’m doing now.”
