Road Dogg says he is a better sports entertainer than MJF

“Road Dogg” Brian James Says he is a better sports entertainer than MJF…..

“He’s great. He’s a really great promo. I mean, he’s not a great wrestler in my mind, but I wasn’t even a good one, so I don’t compare that to. So let me just give this to you plain and simple. The Road Dogg is a better sports entertainer than MJF, and that is no disrespect to MJF. I met the individual. He’s a very respectful young man, a very smart young man. Very smart in the way he eats and the way he trains. He surpasses me in everything, but I wanted to make the one line that everybody will read very clear. I’m a better sports entertainer than MJF.”

“I get it, ‘Road Dogg says’, and then I’ll trend and thank you guys for that, but if they listen to the whole thing man, as a human being, I think the guy is a good dude. I spent some time with him, and this is a funny story and it brings it back to Grado. I sat with him and Billy while we watched Grado work at the Con we were at, whatever the convention we were at over there and had a blast. So, a great guy, great at what we do. Would be tremendous in WWE. Never say never, but I hope I get the opportunity to work with him, but again, let me make it very simple for you guys. I’m a better sports entertainer than MJF.”

    This is laughable, so…. lol. Sounds like he is just trying to score a headline to make it seem like he is still relevant. But, alas, he is not.

    Road Dogg is a great superstar & above all a great veteran who fought for your freedom. Don’t you dare compare him to this midget nobody from a small promotion!

    Drugs are bad, mmmmkay?

    @USA #1
    How did he fight for my freedom?
    Also, do you have any inkling of how dumb you come off when you call someone who’s universally recognized as a generational talent a “midget nobody from a small promotion”?

  5. Pete Haines says:

    Midget is accurate. It’s not an insult.

  6. Really? says:

    @Luke: Brian James was a Marine who served three tours, including Operation Desert Storm. If you are an American (and I know people from all over the world visit this site, so I’m not automatically assuming you are), he fought for your freedom. I’m with you on MJF, though – he may not be the size Vince likes, but he’s hardly a “midget nobody,” though to be honest that characterization makes this feel like a “don’t feed the trolls” situation.

  7. Luke says:

    @Really?
    I realize all that. And that was the point, I’m not an American, but dumbass above automatically assumed everyone must be. That’s how patriotism works, it makes you stop thinking. And for all intents and purposes it’s really no different from racism. The only difference is the propaganda.
    But (assuming you are American) Brian didn’t fight for your freedom either. He fought for the interests of people who didn’t and still don’t care about you or him. He was a replaceable and disposable pawn, nothing more.
    And no, this isn’t a “troll” (god, I hate that words outside of fantasy contexts…) situation. This is one of those dumbasses where he posts his opinion because it’s the most valid one in the world for some reason and then runs and never turns back. He doesn’t have the balls to respond.
    Oh, and for the record, “sports entertainer”, wrestler, talker, I don’t think there is anything in the context of wrestling where MJF doesn’t obliterate Road Dogg by any objective measures.

    A generational talent? Didn’t he call himself this in one of his promos? Guess it must be true. Sort of how CM Punk is the best in the world and Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. A midget? He’s 5′ 11″ tall. How is that considered a midget? I could honestly care less about either one of them. Both of them can talk and they’re both loudmouths. MJF has a better looking body. Other than that, they’re both the same to me.

  9. Stonz says:

    @ Luke —— I’m glad you didn’t say “intensive purposes”, burns my ass when people do that lol.

  10. Luke says:

    @Joseph
    People in the business called him that first, he just picked it up. And you don’t have to like him. Hell, I never liked Hulk Hogan, still don’t. Doesn’t change the fact that he was an all time great.
    To me, MJF is the main reason I still haven’t given up on AEW. If he’s smart, he’ll be main eventing Wrestlemania with Cody in a few years. If he’s dumb, he’ll keep letting Tony Khan devalue him like he’s been doing over the past few months.
    And the main difference between them is that Dogg had popular catchphrases, he’d be lost without them. MJF knows how to work a crowd. Both on the mic and in the ring.

  11. Joseph says:

    @Luke – The reason I thought he said it first was because on June 1st 2022 he cut a promo and referred to himself as a generational talent. In October and November of that same year, there were articles about him being a generational talent. So you can see where I’d think he said it first.

    @Joseph
    All good. No one sane can be expected to know everything that happens in wrestling.
