– The WWE Clash at The Castle Kickoff pre-show opens up with Jackie Redmond welcoming us. She’s joined at the WWE HQ studios in Stamford, CT by Matt Camp and Peter Rosenberg. We get a live shot of fans filing into a packed Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales for today’s big event. The panel goes over today’s card. We get a video for Seth Rollins vs. Riddle and then a discussion from the panel. Rosenberg and Camp predict Rollins to win while Redmond goes with Riddle. We get a video and discussion for the SmackDown Women’s Title match next. We see Liv backstage at Principality Stadium talking with UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards, and both of their title belts are on display. Camp predicts Baszler will win the title tonight but Rosenberg and Redmond believe Morgan will retain.
We get a video package and discussion on Sheamus vs. WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther next. Wade Barrett remotely joins the panel and plugs WWE NXT Worlds Collide tomorrow. Barrett jokes that he’d like to see Gunther win because his 5 Intercontinental Title wins are the only thing he has up on Sheamus and he’d like to keep that bragging right for the pub. Camp predicts Gunther to retain while Redmond and Rosenberg go with Sheamus. We get another live shot of the packed stadium in Cardiff, and riled up fans outside of the stadium. We get a Worlds Collide promo for tomorrow. The panel thanks Our Lady of Peace for their “Run” single as the official theme song of today’s show. We get a video package for The Judgment Day vs. WWE Hall of Famer Edge and Rey Mysterio. Camp picks The Judgment Day to win, while Camp and Redmond go with Edge and Mysterio. We see how Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles last week. Camp and Redmond pick Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai to win tonight’s six-woman match, while Camp goes with RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss.
Austin Theory and Alpha Academy vs. Madcap Moss and The Street Profits
Back from a break and Michael Cole welcomes us to ringside at Principality Stadium. He’s joined by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton, who are wearing almost-matching red jackets. The music hits and out comes Madcap Moss for tonight’s Kickoff match. Out next are The Street Profits – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. Alpha Academy is out first for their team – Chad Gable and Otis. They head to the ring to mostly boos. Samantha Irvin continues the introductions as Austin Theory makes his way out last, carrying his Money In the Bank briefcase. Theory has his first name back.
Dawkins and Gable start things off. Dawkins with a big shoulder. They run the ropes and tangle on the mat, then run the ropes again going back & forth. They trade deep arm drags and Dawkins gets the upperhand, then drops Gable with a right hand. Ford tags in and dropkicks Gable, then kips-up for a pop.
Ford and Gable run the ropes now but Gable pulls Ford out of the air into an ankle lock submission in the middle of the ring. Ford rolls out and dropkicks Gable but didn’t see the tag to Theory. Gable keeps going at it with Ford to allow Theory to hit Ford with a chop block, then send him into the turnbuckles. Theory poses to boos. Fans chant “you suck!” now as Theory sends Ford into the apron, then brings him back in and knocks him into the ropes, then uses the middle rope to choke him as the referee warns him.
Theory takes Ford to the corner with shots to the lower back. Otis tags in and scoop slams Ford. Otis with a running splash to the mat. Gable tags back in and grounds Ford with an arm lock. Fans start to rally for Ford. Dawkins reaches for a tag but Gable knocks him off the apron. Theory comes in and they both stop Ford from tagging. Ford drops them with a double DDT. They try to stop him from tagging but in comes Moss. He runs wild on Theory, then runs over Gable with a shoulder. Moss gets the crowd hyped up, then decks Theory with a shoulder in the corner.
Theory blocks a neckbreaker. Dawkins tags in and nails a corkscrew elbow to theory, then a splash and kick to Theory in the corner. Dawkins drops Theory in the middle of the ring for a close 2 count. Dawkins stalks Theory now. Theory blocks the sit-out powerbomb but Dawkins blocks The ATL. Gable comes in and tangles with Dawkins, rolling into a big German suplex. Moss breaks it up at the 2 count. Ford and Otis are involved now. Otis knocks Ford out of the air with a big shoulder. Moss and Otis are alone in the ring. Moss catches Otis with a big fall-away slam for a pop. Gable attacks Moss and sends him to the floor.
Gable goes for a German suplex to Ford from the apron to the floor but Ford resists. Dawkins puts Gable on his shoulders from the floor. Ford runs the ring and leaps over the top rope with a big super Blockbuster to Gable off Dawkins’ shoulders, also taking Moss and Theory down on the floor. Ford is legal now as he goes to the top and hits the big Frogsplash on Gable for the pin to win.
Winners: The Street Profits and Madcap Moss
– After the match, The Profits and Moss begin celebrating as the music hits. We go to replays. The crowd cheers as Moss and The Profits continue celebrating.
– The panel discusses today’s main event now. We see a black van pull up to the back garage at Principality Stadium, and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns hops out by himself. The panel hypes today’s big event one more time and that’s it for the Kickoff.
– The inaugural WWE Clash at The Castle Premium Live Event opens up with a video package that focuses on today’s main event. We’re now live from a packed Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales as Michael Cole welcomes us. Cole says it’s been 30 long years but WWE is back in the UK with a vengeance with a big event. Over 60,000 fans are here tonight, according to Cole. He’s joined at ringside by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton.
RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley, Iyo Sky and Dakota Kai
We go right to the ring for the opener as RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair heads to the ring to a big pop. Samantha Irvin does the introductions as Alexa Bliss makes her way out next. Asuka is out last for her team. Out next comes Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai. They hit the ring and taunt the crowd.
Bayley starts off with Belair. Bayley is furious at fans doing the “Hey Bayley” chant. The two teams face off in the middle of the ring now and after some words, a brawl breaks out. Belair and Bayley are alone again. Belair drops Bayley with a shoulder, then works her over in the corner. Belair launches Bayley across the ring and keeps control, then kips-up for a pop.
Kai and SKY sweep Belair’s arm out when she goes for the handspring, then they pull her to the floor. Bliss comes in and connects with a big right but Kai and SKY go for a double team suplex. This turns into a triple suplex with the babyfaces connecting. Belair hits her handspring into a moonsault on all three opponents now but they kick out before the 3 count. Belair is alone in the ring now as the heels regroup at ringside. Fans continue taunting Bayley with the chants. Bayley comes back in but tags out to SKY.
SKY and Bliss go at it now. SKY catches a kick but Bliss slaps her. Bliss mounts some offense and steps on SKY’s back. Bliss sweeps SKY face-first into the mat, then rolls into her back with the double knees. Bliss goes on and covers for 2. SKY stops Bliss from tagging. Bliss swings and misses, allowing SKY to tag Bayley in. Bayley takes Bliss to their corner and in comes Kai. Kai stomps away on Bliss in the corner now as the referee warns her. Bayley tags back in but Bayley drops her face-first into the mat.
Asuka and Bliss double team Bayley now. Asuka drops Bayley face-first. Asuka stomps on Bayley’s hand and kicks but Bayley catches it and takes her down. SKY tags in as Bayley shoves Asuka back. Asuka dropkicks Bayley out. SKY flies off the top with a missile dropkick to Asuka. SKY taunts and pokes at Asuka in a show of disrespect. Asuka gets up with a flurry of strikes. SKY rolls her for 2. SKY with a back kick to drop Asuka. SKY takes Asuka to the corner and in comes Kai to take over as fans rally for Asuka. Kai drops Asuka for a 2 count.
Kai takes Asuka to the corner and in comes Bayley again. She goes right back out to stick it to the fans, and in comes SKY. SKY with a big double thrust knees to Asuka in the corner for a 2 count. Bayley tags in and stops Asuka from tagging. Asuka sends Bayley to the floor but Kai tagged in before that. Bliss tags in and leaps off the apron to take Bayley down but Kai is legal and she attacks at ringside, sending Bliss into the barrier with a big dropkick. Kai poses in the corner to taunt Bliss, who is still down at ringside with Bayley.
Kai works Bliss over and taunts her while grounding her in the middle of the ring. Kai with a boot to the throat in the corner as the referee warns her to let up. Kai dances around and taunts Blair. SKY comes in and trades offense with Bliss in the middle of the ring. Bliss unloads with forearms but SKY sends her face-first into the turnbuckles. SKY with a flapjack to Bliss, sending her down face-first once again. Bliss kicks out at 2. More back and forth now. Kai tags in but Bliss nails the Sunset Bomb to Kai. SKY charges in and decks Bliss as the legal competitor, covering her for a close 2 count. Kai pounds on Bliss with right hands while she’s down. Bayley and Kai double team Bliss now but she fights them off\, sending Bayley out and dropping Kai. Bliss crawls for the tag but Bayley yanks Belair off the apron to the floor.
Kai charges and kicks Belair off the apron tot he floor again. Bayley sends Belair into the barrier. Bliss drops Kai and tags in Asuka. SKY also tags in but Asuka meets her with a missile dropkick. Asuka knocks Kai off the apron to the floor. Bayley runs in but Asuka levels her with a shoulder to send her back out. SKY blocks a bulldog from Asuka but Asuka nails a GTS. Asuka with a flurry of back-hands and kicks, then a German suplex. Asuka with the sliding kick to SKY for a close 2 count as Kai and Bayley both rush in to break it up just in time.
Bliss comes in but Bayley hits the Bayley-to-Belly suplex. SKY kicks Asuka but it’s blocked. SKY comes right back with a big kick to the side of the face. Bayley tags in and grabs Asuka but asks SKY for the double team assist. Bayley follows up with a running clothesline to Asuka for a close 2 count. Asuka stuns Bayley and crawls for the tag. Belair finally tags in and unloads on Bayley, then kips-up and nails shoulder thrusts in the corner. Belair catches Bayley with a big Spinebuster, then hits the standing moonsault for a close 2 count. Belair rallies the crowd now. Bayley rocks her off a block, then Kai tags in. Belair rocks Kai, then hits Bayley with thrusts in the corner. Belair takes Bayley to the top as the referee counts because Kai is legal and at ringside. Kai comes back in but Belair sends her into SKY on the apron.
Belair has Bayley back in the corner but Bayley ties Belair up with her own braid. Asuka and Bliss nail a big superplex to Bayley, and they stand on Belair’s back to hit it while she’s trapped in the corner by her braid. Asuka and Bliss regroup at ringside but SKY hits a big apron moonsault to take them down. Belair rolls Kai up for 2, then tries to powerbomb her but Kai escapes. They tangle in the corner and Belair rocks Kai with a forearm while Kai is sitting on the top turnbuckle. Belair now presses Kai high in the air to a pop, then uses her to drop SKY as she rushes in. Belair with a fall-away slam to Kai. Kai goes for a Scorpion Kick but Belair grabs it and goes for a powerbomb, nailing it in the middle of the ring. Belair goes to the top but rolls through as Kai moves.
Kai nails the Scorpion Kick and Belair is dazed. Kai misses the running big boot in the corner as Belair moves. Belair goes for the KOD but SKY saves Kai. Bayley traps Belair in the corner by her braid again, allowing Kai to hit the running boot. SKY tags in and goes to the top as Bayley hits the Rose Plant on Belair. SKY then follows up with the moonsault to Belair, and Bayley rolls her up for the pin to win.
Winners: Bayley, IYO SKY and Dakota Kai
– After the match, Bayley, SKY and Kai celebrate as the music hits. We go to replays. The heels pose and continue their celebration to end the segment.
– Back from a break and we see earlier footage of undefeated boxer Tyson Fury backstage chatting with Drew McIntyre. We now see a live shot of Fury in the crowd at Principality Stadium. He stands and waves to the crowd.
– The announcers talk about how the last UK stadium show was SummerSlam 1992, featuring WWE Hall of Famers Bret Hart and “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith going at it in the main event. We also see footage from that match. We go back to the ring now and Samantha gives a shout-out to the family of Bulldog, who are in attendance. Bret is also shown sitting in the crowd. He raises his fist and gets a big pop from the crowd.
WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Sheamus vs. Gunther
We go back to the ring and out first are The Brawling Brutes – Sheamus with Ridge Holland and Butch. Ludwig Kaiser appears with a microphone now. Kaiser demands everyone’s gratitude for Giovanni Vinci, who is now standing with Kaiser. The former Fabian Aichner has reunited with his crew. Kaiser then introduces WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther as the leader of Imperium, so it looks like the faction is back. Kaiser goes on with his introduction for The Ring General, and out he comes. Imperium marches to the ring together. Graves can’t believe Gunther has reunited Imperium. The Brawling Brutes look on shocked from the ring.
The two factions face off in the ring now. Sheamus and Gunther stare each other down while the title is raised by the referee. Kaiser attacks Butch first and a brawl breaks out. Holland and Vinci fight but Sheamus and Gunther are still staring each other down. Butch, Holland, Kaiser and Vinci are brawling at ringside now. Butch nails a big moonsault to Vinci and Kaiser from the top turnbuckle to the floor. The bell rings and now Sheamus is brawling with Gunther. They take it to the corner and continue trading big strikes.
Gunther with a big uppercut into the corner. Sheamus fights back and now Gunther nails a big chop to the chest. They continue brawling and now collide with shoulders. Gunther drops Sheamus with a big boot. Gunther stands tall to some boos but Sheamus gets right back up swinging. Sheamus blocks a suplex and hits one of his own.
Fans do dueling chants now as the brawl continues. Gunther avoids 10 Beats of the Bodhrán and drops to the floor from the apron, but Sheamus sends him into the steel ring steps. Sheamus brings Gunther back in as fans chant for him to “fuck him up, Sheamus!” Sheamus tries for 10 Beats of the Bodhrán again but Gunther rocks him from the other side of the ropes. Sheamus comes in from the apron but Gunther chops him in the corner. Gunther runs into double boots and goes down. Sheamus pulls himself up to the top but Gunther delivers a huge chop to knock Sheamus off the top to the floor. They go at it on the floor now and Gunther slams Sheamus on top of half of the steel steps. The referee counts as Gunther stands tall in the ring now.
Sheamus makes it back in at the 9 count. Gunther meets him with more strikes. They trade big slaps and chops out of the corner. Gunther chops Sheamus to his knees, then chops him flat on his back. Gunther kicks Sheamus to keep him down, then starts talking some trash and disrespecting him. Sheamus fights back from his knees but Gunther continues the chops and another big boot to the head. Gunther unloads with more strikes against the ropes now but Sheamus keeps trying to fight back.
Gunther delivers another big boot to the head after Sheamus slowly pulls himself back up. Gunther with a Boston Crab in the middle of the ring now. Gunther turns that into a Crossface. Sheamus tries to fight back but Gunther beats him back down and delivers a huge chop to the back. Sheamus is on his knees now as fans try to rally. Gunther continues to dominate, stopping to stand tall and pose over Sheamus in the middle of the ring. Sheamus stares at Gunther and takes the punishment, coming back to his feet. Sheamus mounts strikes now as fans cheer him on. Gunther rams him into the corner, then sends him to the floor in front of the announcers.
Gunther follows and scoop slams Sheamus on the floor. Gunther tosses Sheamus over the announce table now, into the chairs. Sheamus counters and slams Gunther’s face into the announce table a few times. Sheamus with not-quite-10 Beats of the Bodhrán over the table now. Sheamus follows Gunther into the ring as he retreats. Sheamus with a clothesline. Fans pop for Sheamus as he delivers the full 10 Beats of the Bodhrán now. Gunther retreats to the floor and Sheamus follows. Gunther sends him over the barrier. Sheamus with another 10 Beats of the Bodhrán from the crowd and this time he keeps going past 10. Fans pop for Sheamus as Gunther stumbles away. Sheamus brings him back into the ring and goes to the top. Fans chant “one more time!” now.
Sheamus goes to the top and nails the flying knee drop to the head. Sheamus stands tall and yells out for a pop. Sheamus scoops Gunther to his shoulders but he slides out and hits a forearm to the back. They trade big strikes in the middle of the ring now. Gunther with a big German suplex. They collide and Sheamus nails a jumping knee for a close 2 count. Fans chant “this is awesome!” now as the match goes on back & forth. Gunther fights off a slam attempt, then applies a Sleeper hold. Sheamus goes to one knee but comes back and delivers White Noise for a big pop. Gunther kicks out at 2 and Sheamus is exhausted.
Fans chant “this is awesome!” again. Fans rally and cheer as Sheamus waits for Gunther to get back up, calling for the Brogue Kick. Gunther dodges the Brogue. Sheamus with a back elbow. Gunther with a dropkick into the corner. Gunther with a powerbomb in the middle of the ring but he doesn’t get all of it, and Sheamus kicks out at 2. Gunther with more offense now. He goes to the top as fans boo. Sheamus jumps up and rocks Gunther while he’s on top. Gunther fights back with chops from the top turnbuckle. Gunther knocks Sheamus back but he’s slow to capitalize. Sheamus with a big boot while Gunther is on top. Sheamus with a big Celtic Cross while Gunther was on top. Sheamus is slow to make the cover and Gunther kicks out just in time. Sheamus and the crowd are shocked.
Sheamus goes for a Brogue but his back goes out. Gunther follows up with a powerbomb but this one also wasn’t all the way. Gunther yells as he waits for Sheamus to get back up. Sheamus stumbles back to his feet and Gunther meets him with a stiff lariat for the pin to win and retain.
Winner: Gunther
– After the match, Gunther takes the Intercontinental Title but he’s slow to get back to his feet as the music hits and we go to replays. Vinci and Kaiser come back down to greet Gunther as he exits the ring. Imperium marches to the back. Sheamus slowly gets back to his feet in the ring as the crowd chants his name and gives him a standing ovation. Sheamus stands tall and motions to the crowd s the cheers continue. Sheamus’ music starts back up as he heads to the back, stopping to pose with fans on the entrance-way.

SmackDown Women’s Title Match: Shayna Baszler vs. Liv Morgan
We go back to the ring for the next match as Shayna Baszler makes her way out. We see UFC Welterweight Champion Leon Edwards in the crowd. He stands and gets a pop from the crowd as Baszler wraps up her entrance. Out next comes SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan to a pop. We get formal ring introductions from Irvin.
The bell rings and they face off as Baszler smiles. They lock up and Liv takes Baszler down for a quick roll-up. Baszler goes for an early Kirifuda Clutch but Liv escapes and we get a kick out. Liv tries for Baszler’s submission on the mat but Baszler escapes. Baszler tries for a pin attempt also but now they face off again before getting back to their feet.
Liv talks some trash. They go at it and Liv sends Baszler flying with a scissors, then kicks her against the ropes. Liv with a dropkick to the back. Liv with a high knee in the corner. Liv misses a back elbow in the corner but Baszler runs into a boot. Liv goes to the top an walks the ropes but Baszler knocks her to the floor. The referee counts as Baszler goes to the floor, folds Liv’s arm up and sends her into the barrier shoulder-first. Baszler brings it back in at the 6 count but Liv kicks out.
Baszler works on Liv’s arm while grounding her on the mat now. Baszler twists the arm up, making Liv scream out. Baszler runs into a back elbow. Liv keeps fighting Baszler off but Baszler nails a clothesline for a close 2 count while smiling again. They keep fighting and Baszler drops Liv on her head with another suplex for a close 2 count. Baszler continues to dominate, working Liv over on the mat. Liv nails a jawbreaker to get an opening. She then drops Baszler from the corner with a dropkick and they both go down as the referee counts.
Fans rally and Baszler gets up to her knees, while Liv kips-up at the 8 count. Liv screams at Baszler and unloads with strikes, then an enziguri. Baszler misses a shot and Liv drops her face-first into her knees for a close 2 count. Liv keeps control and doges a big knee in the corner, causing Baszler to hit the turnbuckle. Baszler comes back with another knee and this time connects for a 2 count. Baszler screams at Liv and talks some trash out of frustration now. Baszler stands over Liv and takes her time, then kneels down with more trash talking. Liv blocks a submission and pulls Baszler into a Triangle. Baszler tries to get free but Liv turns that into an armbar.
They tangle on the mat but Liv keeps the armbar applied. Baszler breaks out and stomps away on Liv’s hurt arm. Baszler with a powerbomb then a big knee strike to the face. Liv kicks out just in time. More back and forth between the two. Liv catches Baszler with a powerbomb for a close 2 count. Baszler immediately goes into the Kirifuda Clutch but she’s struggling with it. Baszler with an armbar now. Liv rolls to the ropes to break the hold. Baszler is up first and she goes for the Kirifuda again, this time with her good arm, but Liv counters and we get a kick out. Liv nails a Codebreaker to stun Baszler, then drops her with Ob-Livion for the pin to win and retain.
Winner: Liv Morgan
– After the match, Liv stands tall as the music hits. We go to replays. Liv sits up in the ring with her title as fans cheer her on. Liv hits the corner to pose with the title in the air.
– Back from a break and Irvin introduces tonight’s special guests, UK veterans Miss Linda and Exotic Adriana Street. We see them sitting at ringside, and NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint is also there. Fans cheer them on.

Finn Balor and Damian Priest vs. Rey Mysterio and WWE Hall of Famer Edge
We go back to the ring for today’s six-man match as Rey Mysterio comes out with Dominik Mysterio. WWE Hall of Famer Edge is out next and he’s wearing a lucha mask. Edge hits the ring to a big pop. Cole says the mask is a show of solidarity with Mysterio. Edge removes his mask and stands with The Mysterios as fans cheer them on. Out next comes The Judgment Day – Finn Balor and Damian Priest with Rhea Ripley. Dominik rallies fans for a pop as the bell hits and here we go.
Rey starts off with Balor now. Balor unloads and takes Rey to the corner, working him over as the referee counts. Balor with a running chop into the opposite corner as the referee warns him again. Rey dodges some shots and unloads with kicks and punches. Balor rocks him and rolls him up but Rey kicks him in the head. Balor runs into a back elbow. Rey with a big hurricanrana takedown.
Priest tags in as Rey looks on now. Priest points at Edge and wants him to tag in. Fans go wild and Priest is fired up to fight Edge. Edge tags in but Priest drops him with a right hand. Priest with a big forearm in the corner now, then more big strikes. Priest whips Edge in the corner but Rey jumps up and puts his body in the way to protect Edge. Edge unloads on Priest out of the corner, then sends Priest to the floor with Balor. Rey tags in and charges, with Edge launching him out of the ring, onto Balor and Priest at ringside.
Rey comes in with kicks to Priest. Priest catches a moonsault and nails a modified Broken Arrow in the middle of the ring. Priest mounts Rey with punches now. Priest knocks Rey back into the corner and nails a leaping back elbow after taunting Edge. Balor tags in and stomps Rey, then poses for boos. Balor with thrusts in the corner now. Balor with a backbreaker, and he holds Rey there so Priest can deliver a big leg drop. Rey kicks out at 2.
Priest rocks Rey and sends him to the ropes but Rey kicks him. Priest drops Rey again. Priest with more disrespect to Edge as he looks on. Balor tags back in and drops Rey for another 2 count. Balor with a suplex, and he holds it but doesn’t go for Three Amigos as fans boo him, instead he clubs Rey to the mat. Balor poses again and talks some more trash before grounding Rey. Ripley talks trash from ringside as fans rally. Rey fights out but Balor stops him from tagging, delivering a knee to the gut. Rey trips Balor in the corner, sending him into the turnbuckle face-first.
They end up on the floor and Rey sends Balor over the barrier to the crowd. Priest rocks Rey and has him on top of the barrier for a powerbomb now. Rey fights out and drops Priest, crotching him on top of the barrier. Rey crawls back in and looks for the tag as Ripley yells at Priest and Balor to get back in. Priest rushes in and stops Rey from crawling. Rey finally tags Edge and in he comes to a pop. Edge runs wild on Balor and Priest. Edge with the Edgeucution DDT to Balor for a pop.
Edge sends Priest flying and then nails a 619 to Balor for a big pop. Rey follows up with a splash to Balor. Edge covers for a 2 count as Priest makes the save from the floor. Priest grabs Rey from the apron now for a chokeslam. Edge makes the save by hitting a Spear to send Priest to the floor. Dominik is thrilled and fans are chanting “holy shit!” now. Rey is launched under the bottom rope to the floor by Balor. Edge fights Balor off and makes his way back in. Balor drops him with a Slingblade. Balor drops Edge in the corner, then goes to the top for Coup de Grace. Dominik distracts the referee from the apron, allowing Rey to attack Balor to stop Coup de Grace. Rey brings Balor to the mat and he lands hard.
Ripley takes out Dominik and launches him into the barrier. Ripley then scoops Dominik for a slam but Rey makes the save, taking his son and Ripley out at ringside. Rey goes in and drops Balor into position for 619. He goes for the 619 but Balor stops him with a clothesline. Balor boots Rey to the floor as fans boo. Balor charges but Dominik trips him. Rey fights off Balor and nails 619 now, sending him right into a Spear by Edge. Edge covers for the pin to win.
Winners: Edge and Rey Mysterio
– After the match, Edge and Rey embrace while on their knees as the music hits and fans pop. Dominik enters the ring and watches while Rey and Edge celebrate with Rey raising Edge’s arm in victory. We go to replays. Edge and Dominik are seen talking now, but Dominik looks angry. Edge pats him on the back. Dominik suddenly nails a low blow kick to Edge, shocking the crowd. Rey grabs his son and tries to talk him down. Dominik suddenly levels his dad with a big clothesline as the boos pick up. The Judgment Day is recovering at ringside and they’re loving what they just saw. We see shocked fans in the crowd now. Fans chant “asshole!” now. Rey recovers on the mat and looks at his son, asking why. Edge is also recovering on the mat now. Dominik marches to the back as the boos continue. He stops to turn around and look, then takes his shirt off and yells some at the crowd before exiting to the back. We go to replays. Edge and Rey get back to their feet in the middle of the ring as fans cheer them on. Rey begs Edge and drops to one knee but Edge embraces him.
– The announcers remind us of the post-show press conference to be held after Clash at The Castle.
– Samantha Irvin announces a sold out crowd of 62,296 for the show.
– We get a video package for the next match.
Riddle vs. Seth Rollins
We go back to the ring and out comes Riddle to a pop. Riddle hits the ring and he’s ready to fight. Seth Rollins out next as the pyro goes off, and he’s dressed like a flamboyant version of the devil.
Fans continue singing along with Rollins’ theme as the two face off. The bell rings and they start brawling, unloading on each other. Riddle unloads with kicks int he corner and the referee backs him off. Riddle gets in the referee’s face and they have words. Riddle takes Rollins to the floor as the brawl continues. They bring it back in and Riddle hits two big gutwrench suplexes.
Rollins rocks Riddle and they get back up. Riddle meets Rollins with a knee to the gut, then two sentons on the mat. Rollins kicks out at 2 as some fans continue humming Rollins’ theme. Rollins and Riddle trade offense now. Riddle takes Rollins down in some sort of submission but Rollins resists. Rollins powers up for a powerbomb but they both tumble over the top rope tot he floor, and Rollins hits first. Riddle goes for a punt kick from the apron but Rollins catches it and launches him into the barrier with a big powerbomb, hitting the camera man it appears.
Rollins returns to the ring as the referee counts. Riddle comes back to his feet but Rollins goes for a suicide dive, sending Riddle onto the top of the announce table. Rollins brings it back in and nails a short-arm clothesline. Rollins stands tall over Riddle and poses for a mixed reaction. Riddle gets up and fights back but Riddle drops him for a 2 count. Rollins mounts Riddle with right hands now. The referee yells at Rollins now. Rollins kicks Riddle around and taunts him.
Riddle jumps up and fires back with strikes. Rollins ducks a kick and rolls Riddle for 2. Rollins rocks Riddle in the face for another 2 count. Rollins with a Falcon Arrow for another close pin attempt. Rollins keeps control and takes it to the top for an inverted superplex but Riddle resists and knocks him down. Rollins with a kick to turn Riddle upside down in the corner. Rollins goes to the top and nails a big stomp while Riddle is upside down. Riddle kicks out at 2.
Rollins takes Riddle back to the top but Riddle fights back. Rollins hits a big superplex and rolls through for a Falcon Arrow but Riddle blocks that and hits a Fisherman’s Buster. Riddle unloads with strikes now. Rollins catches him with a knee to the face. Riddle comes back with jumping strikes but Rollins blocks him. Riddle with a big throw across the ring. Rollins rolls under the bottom rope to the apron but Riddle flies with a big kick. Rollins with a Floating Bro from the middle rope to the floor.
Riddle brings it back into the ring but Rollins goes for a Pedigree. Riddle blocks it and hits a Bro 2 Sleep. Riddle with a powerbomb, then a knee to the face. Rollins kicks out just in time. Riddle kicks Rollins and goes back up for a Floating Bro but Rollins gets his knees up. Riddle side-steps the Stomp. They trade big counters and Riddle drops Rollins into a Triangle in the middle of the ring. Riddle pulls the arm back and Rollins starts to fade as the referee checks on him. Rollins with kicks to the face, then he uses Riddle’s Bro Derek. Riddle kicks out at 2.
Rollins and Riddle are both worn down now. Rollins slowly goes to the top but has to roll through as Riddle moves. They both trade big kicks to stun each other. Riddle with an overhead kick and a kip-up for a big pop but Rollins rocks him, then hits the forearm to the back of the neck. Riddle blocks a Stomp and nails a big knee. Rollins with an enziguri. Riddle with a big German suplex in response. Rollins blocks a big move and drops Riddle with a Pedigree for a close 2 count.
Fans chant “this is awesome!” as Rollins begins to get up, talking trash and calling Riddle a loser to his face. Rollins talks about Riddle’s wife and kids to his face. Riddle snaps and unloads with strikes now. Rollins kicks him in the head as he tries to come back through the ropes. Rollins goes to use Randy Orton’s second rope draping DDT and he nails it. Rollins is all smiles now as he struts around the ring and some fans sing his theme. Rollins drops to the mat like Orton to call for the RKO. Riddle blocks him and takes him out of the air, down into a rear naked choke. Riddle now pounds on Rollins in the back of his head. Riddle kicks Rollins and sends him to the floor, then slams his face into the announce table over and over as a “this is awesome!” chant starts.
Riddle grabs a steel chair but Rollins avoids it, then rushes back into the ring. Riddle follows but Rollins meets him with a big Stomp. Rollins takes his time and hits another big Stomp from the second rope for the pin to win.
Winner: Seth Rollins
– After the match, the music hits as Rollins recovers while fans sing his theme. Rollins now stands tall as the referee checks on Riddle, who is backing up into the corner while still down. We go to replays. Rollins plays to the crowd and the camera to end the segment.
– Back from the break that includes the WWE Extreme Rules promo narrated by Paul Heyman. Cole says Heyman is not here tonight and hasn’t been seen since the SummerSlam attack by Brock Lesnar.
– We see footage from earlier today of Roman Reigns backstage chatting with Tyson Fury and it looks like they were having a friendly conversation. Fury is shown live at ringside now. Karrion Kross and Scarlett are also shown sitting in the crowd. The announcers talk about being in Cardiff this week as we see some shots of the area. They thank Cardiff and hope to return soon.

Undisputed WWE Universal Title Match: Drew McIntyre vs. Roman Reigns
We go back to the ring and out comes Drew McIntyre for today’s main event. Drew’s “Broken Dreams” theme starts up to a pop as we get a unique video that includes shots of Drew from a young man to where he is now, and his sword. Drew’s current theme now starts up as he makes his way out to pyro and a big pop from the crowd. Drew stops on the ramp and raises his sword Angela in the air to another pyro explosion. McIntyre now marches to the ring, slapping hands with fans on the way. Fans chant for McIntyre as he paces around the ring and takes it all in. The music interrupts and out comes Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns by himself. Reigns stops on the ramp and looks around the stadium. He takes a few steps forward and stops for the pyro to go off as Drew stares him down from the ring. Reigns raises the title belt in the air to pyro. He then heads to the ring.
Reigns stops at ringside as he and McIntyre stare each other down. Cole says Sami Zayn and Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos are not medically cleared to be here due to the beating they took from McIntyre on SmackDown. Reigns poses on the apron now to some boos from the crowd, raising his finger in the air. Reigns now poses in the middle of the ring to raise the title for one last pyro shot. We get formal ring introductions from Irvin now. The bell rings and here we go. They face off from their respective corners as fans pop and cheer them on. The crowd is all for Drew and he’s smiling about it while Reigns is a bit annoyed. They lock up and stay locked up, going into the corner. They break as Drew backs off.
They lock up again and Reigns applies a headlock. Drew collides into Reigns with a shoulder now. Drew barks and Reigns backs away, then exits the ring to the apron. Reigns walks around on the apron as the crowd has him rattled.
Reigns come in and they lock up. Drew blocks an elbow but Reigns connects on the next attempt. They run the ropes and Drew drops Reigns with a big shoulder. Reigns goes to the floor for a breather. Fans continue taunting Reigns as he regroups at ringside. Reigns motions for the crowd to quiet down but they boo him as he re-enters the ring. Drew wants to lock up but Reigns rocks him in the gut, then knocks him into the corner. Reigns with big right hands in the corner. Reigns mounts Drew in the corner with right hands now.
Drew slides under Reigns and now mounts him in the corner with right hands as fans count along. Drew runs the ropes and clotheslines Reigns over the top rope to the floor. Drew follows and Reigns is dazed. Drew slams Reigns face-first into the apron and then whips him shoulder-first into the steel ring steps. Drew returns to the ring to break the count, then goes back out. fan throws a water bottle and it hits Drew’s boot. Drew walks over but we see it was Kross that threw the bottle, not a fan. Drew barks at Kross and they have words now. Reigns attacks from behind, then sends Drew face-first into the ring post.
Drew slips on water at ringside and goes down, but manages to make it back in at the 9 count. Reigns unloads and goes to work on Drew now, beating him down and sending him into the corner. Drew with big rights in the corner now. Reigns tosses Drew out to the floor and the referee counts. Reigns keeps control as Drew comes back in. Reigns nails a flying clothesline for a 1 count. They go at it and run the ropes but Reigns levels Drew with a boot. Drew kicks out at 1 again. Drew fights back with chops now. Reigns counters and whips Drew hard into the turnbuckles, putting him back down.
Drew fights back with chops but Reigns rocks him and unloads with rights to put him back down as fans boo. Fans rally for Drew. They trade suplex attempts several times in the middle of the ring. They give up on the suplex attempts and Reigns beats Drew down. Reigns plays to the crowd for more boos.
Reigns now takes the mic and calls on Cardiff to acknowledge him but they boo in response. Reigns turns back around to a Glasgow Kiss headbutt from Drew. Reigns and Drew both go down in the middle of the ring. The referee checks them out while they are flat on their backs. They both get up and start trading big right hands as they fans go along. Drew gets the upperhand but Reigns kicks him. Drew with clotheslines now, then a big belly-to-belly throw across the ring, and another throw. Drew ducks a right and nails a neckbreaker. They are both down for a few seconds, but Drew kips-up for a pop. Drew plays tot he crowd, then attacks Reigns in the corner.
Drew takes Reigns to the top for a superplex but Reigns resists. Reigns drops Drew but he’s now sitting on the top rope. Reigns with more right hands. Drew has a fist of hair but Reigns rocks him to turn him upside down in the corner. Drew over-powers and launches Reigns to the mat. Drew then pulls himself back up to his feet. Reigns rolls to the floor to regroup before Drew can capitalize. Reigns rocks Drew as he comes out, then rolls him back in. Reigns blocks a Future Shock DDT. Drew catches Reigns with a big Spinebuster out of nowhere for a close 2 count.
Drew gets up and waits for Reigns now. Reigns with a rake to the eyes to block Drew, then a big Rock Bottom in the middle of the ring. Drew kicks out at 2. Reigns puts his finger in the air and now waits in the corner for Drew to get back up. Reigns charges with the Superman Punch but Drew ducks it and nails the Future Shock DDT. Drew waits in the corner now, calling for the Claymore Kick as fans cheer him on. Reigns blocks it with a Superman Punch but Drew kicks out just in time.
Reigns calls for the Spear but runs into a big kick instead. They hit the ropes but Reigns nails a Spear in the middle of the ring for a close 2 count. Reigns can’t believe it. Reigns shakes his head in disbelief while stalking Drew. Reigns applies the Guillotine submission in the middle of the ring now. Reigns brings Drew down to his knees as Drew fades. Drew powers back to his feet but Reigns tightens the hold, wrapping his legs around Drew in the middle of the ring. Drew is still on his feet and he won’t let his arm drop. Drew rams Reigns back into the turnbuckles to break free. Drew sends Reigns into the ring post and Reigns falls out to the floor.
Drew goes out and follows with a Spear to put Reigns through the barrier. Drew brings it back in the ring and calls for the Claymore but Reigns meets him with a Spear instead. Drew kicks out just in time. Champion and challenger are both slow to recover now as fans are standing to see what happens next. Reigns and McIntyre are still flat on their backs. Reigns gets up and yells at referee Charles Robinson. Drew takes advantage and flies in with a Claymore to drop Reigns from behind, but this also knocks the referee down.
Theory’s music suddenly hits and out he comes with his Money In the Bank briefcase. Theory goes to the other referee by the timekeeper and is about to hand him the briefcase to cash in but Tyson Fury stands up from his chair and drops Theory with a single punch. Theory is laid out and Fury stands tall with his arms wide open for a pop. Reigns has a steel chair in the ring now but Drew levels him with a Claymore. The other referee rushes in to make the count but Reigns kicks out just in time. Drew can’t believe it and he’s frustrated now.
Reigns and McIntyre trade right hands from their knees in the middle of the ring now. They keep fighting to their feet, now unloading on each other with quick punches as fans cheer them on. They start unloading once again after a few more slower shots. Reigns with a Superman Punch, Drew with a Glasgow Kiss. Drew comes right back with a big Spear and Reigns is down. Drew follows up with a Claymore and the referee counts but someone pulls him to the floor. The hooded man at ringside revels himself to be Solo Sikoa from WWE NXT. Solo looks up at Drew and smirks. Drew grabs Solo through the ropes but Solo hangs him up on the ropes. Reigns then follows up with a big Spear for the pin to win and retain.
Winner: Roman Reigns
– After the match, Reigns stands tall and recovers as the music hits and we go to replays. Reigns now raises both title belts in the air while Solo looks on from ringside. Fury now enters the ring and stares at Reigns, nodding his head. It looks as if Fury is congratulating Reigns. They end up shaking hands and the crowd boos heavily. Reigns’ music starts back up and he exits the ring, joining Solo at the entrance-way. Reigns and Solo march up the ramp together now, stopping on the stage so Reigns can bark to the camera. We go back to the ring and Fury helps McIntyre to his feet. Fury raises Drew’s arm in the air and fans cheer them on. Fury takes the mic and says all these people are here to see Drew. Fury says Drew did everyone here proud tonight and made his country proud. Fury says Drew put up an unbelievable fight and he should be proud. Fury says it must have felt awesome to hear everyone chanting Drew’s name. Fury tells Drew to keep his chin up. Fury says at times like this he can only thing of one thing… it goes something like this – Fury starts singing “American Pie” by Don McLean. Fury calls on the crowd to join in, and Drew joins in with him as they finish the song. Fury thanks Cardiff for a wonderful night and thanks them.
Drew now takes the mic and says it didn’t quite go the way he wanted. He goes on about tonight and says Reigns’ fake Island of Relevancy is nothing, his island didn’t let him down as they were passionate and loud, and they showed the world what they are made of. Drew goes on about his fans and says forget about the outcome, let’s party. Drew asks Fury if he can sing “Sweet Caroline” now. Drew asks if we’re still live. He thanks the crowd again and says he loves them. Fury and McIntyre shake hands and then pose in opposite corners as the crowd cheers them on. WWE Clash at The Castle goes off the air.
This main event made history. Roman won without a blood relative helping him. Wait…
After all the great stuff WWE has been doing and they put out a horsesh-t ending like that? Roman doesn’t need the belts and you’re making your top guys all look weak… and for what? Is Vince backstage?
