WWE SmackDown rating/viewership for last Friday
Friday’s live WWE SmackDown episode drew an average of 1.878 million viewers on FOX, according to Nielsen, via Showbuzz Daily.
This final number is down 7.53% from the previous week’s final viewership of 2.031 million viewers.
Friday’s SmackDown drew a 0.43 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is down 4.44% from the previous week’s 0.45 rating. This week’s 0.43 key demo rating represents 561,000 18-49 viewers, which is down 4.42% from the 587,000 18-49 viewers that the previous week’s 0.45 key demo rating drew, according to Wrestlenomics.
SmackDown ranked #1 in ratings for the key 18-49 demographic on network TV, up from the previous week’s #2 ranking. SmackDown ranked #1 in the 18-34 demo this week, even with the previous week’s #1 ranking, for the fourth week in a row. SmackDown ranked #1 in the 25-54 demo, up from the previous week’s #2 ranking. SmackDown came in at #8 for the night in viewership on network TV, even with the previous week’s #8 ranking. While SmackDown topped the night on network TV in the key demo rating, Blue Bloods on CBS topped the night in viewership on network TV this week with 2.978 million viewers.
Friday’s live SmackDown drew the lowest audience since July 2, 2021, and the third-lowest key demo rating of the year so far. The show had strong cable competition from the NHL Playoffs and the NBA Playoffs again this week. Friday’s viewership was down 7.53% from the previous week’s episode, while the key demo rating was down 4.44% from the previous week’s episode.
Viewership for Friday’s SmackDown episode was down 2.59% from the same week in 2021, while Friday’s 18-49 key demo rating was down 14% from the same week in 2021.
The NBA Playoffs game between the Heat and the Celtics on ESPN topped the night on the Cable Top 150 with a 2.41 key demo rating. The Heat vs. Celtics NBA game also topped the night on cable in viewership with 7.188 million viewers.
Friday’s SmackDown aired live from the Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas, with the following line-up advertised – The Bloodline returning to SmackDown with all the gold, RAW Superstar Kevin Owens hosting The KO Show, SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a Championship Contender’s match, plus Sheamus, Butch and Ridge Holland vs. Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Woods’ mystery partner (Drew McIntyre), which was the main event.
