Biography

– Mizunami began her career in the dying days of the GAEA promotion in her native Japan
– In her debut match on November 3, 2004, Mizunami was defeated by Carlos Amano
– Following the demise of GAEA in mid-2005, Mizunami would take time away from wrestling
– Mizunami (as Ayane Mizumura) returned to action for her trainer Meiko Satomura’s Sendai Girls promotion in July 2007
– By 2008, Mizunami was competing under her real name once more
– Mizunami won Sendai’s 2008 New Year One Night Tournament, defeating Sendai Sachiko in the final
– In April 2009, Mizunami began competing for Pro Wrestling WAVE alongside her Sendai commitments
– On December 20, 2009, Mizunami defeated Misaki Ohata to win the JWP Junior Title
– On January 31, 2010, Mizunami defeated Aya Yuuki to retain the JWP Junior Title
– On April 17, Mizunami defeated Kazumi Shimouma to retain the JWP Junior Title

– Mizunami returned to AEW to compete in the Women’s World Title Eliminator Tournament. She would win the Japanese bracket, defeating Yuka Sakazaki in the final, before defeating Nyla Rose to win the overall tournament. Unfortunately, she fell short against champion Hikaru Shida at Revolution 2021
– Mizunami would remain with AEW until the end of April, competing on several Youtube shows
– On July 11, 2021, Mizunami defeated ASUKA to win the SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Title
– On August 19, Mizunami defeated Arisa Nakajima to retain the SEAdLINNNG Beyond The Sea Title
– In October 2021, Mizunami returned to the US for another run on AEW’s Youtube show
– On March 12, 2023, Mizunami & Sonoko Kato defeated Team 200kg (Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu) to win the OZ Academy Tag Team Titles
