Biography

– Seymour began training right out of high school. She was given the ringname ‘Leilani Kai’, as her trainers believed that she ‘looked Hawaiian’
– Kai wrestled her first professional match on June 20, 1975, teaming with Moolah to defeat Sheila Shepherd & Susan Greene at a WWWF event in Pennsylvania
– In November 1975, Kai worked a tour of Japan with the IWE promotion
– In December 1979, Kai formed a regular tag team with Judy Martin. The pair would become known as The Glamour Girls
– On February 18, 1985, Kai defeated Wendi Richter to win the WWF Womens Title
– On the March 2, 1985 episode of WWF Georgia Championship Wrestling, Kai defeated Wenona Little Heart to retain the WWF Womens Title
– On the March 23 episode of WWF Championship Wrestling, Kai defeated Susan Starr to retain the WWF Womens Title
– On August 1, 1985, The Glamour Girls (Kai & Judy Martin) defeated Desiree Peterson & Velvet McIntyre to win the WWF Womens Tag Team Titles. The duo would hold the titles for over 900 days, but made only 5 televised defenses during this time
– On June 8, 1988, The Glamour Girls defeated The Jumping Bomb Angels (Itsuki Yamazaki & Noriyo Tateno) to regain the WWF Womens Tag Team Titles, but the titles would be deactivated a few months later before they made a single defense
– Kai left the WWF in 1989, having not made an appearance for over a year
– On February 28, 1991, The Glamour Girls defeated Team America (Heidi Lee Morgan & Misty Blue) to win the LPWA Tag Team Titles
– On February 23, 1992, The Glamour Girls defeated Malia Hosaka & Bambi to retain the LPWA Tag Team Titles
– In early 1994, Kai competed on a short tour with Japan’s FMW promotion
– In March 1994, Kai returned to the WWF, but would make only one televised appearance (a loss to Alundra Blayze at WrestleMania X) before leaving two months later
– In October 1996, Kai worked a series of WCW house shows against Madusa
– Kai (as Patty Stone Grinder) made an appearance on the July 26, 1999 episode of WCW Nitro, losing to Madusa
– On March 12, 2003, Kai defeated Madison to win the NWA Womens Title
– On June 20, Kai defeated Christie Ricci to retain the NWA Womens Title
– At the NWA 55th Anniversary Show, Kai defeated AJ Sparks to retain the NWA Womens Title
– Kai was stripped of the NWA Womens Title in June 2004 after no-showing several bookings. Kai would retire from wrestling after this announcement
– Kai was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame in 2006
– In March 2012, Kai returned to action at a PWS event in Miami Beach, losing to Amber O’Neal
– On May 10, 2014, Kai defeated Chelsea Diamond to win the FCW Womens Title
– Kai retired from the ring in 2015
– Kai was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2016
