1/12/21 Impact Report

– This week’s edition of Impact Wrestling begins with a recap of Ken Shamrock & Sami Callihan attacking Eddie Edwards after using his wife Alisha as bait. Then we see footage from AEW Dynamite where the Good Brothers arrived to attack Jon Moxley with Kenny Omega.
– The Commentators tonight are Josh Matthews & Madison Rayne.
***Match #1: Kimber Lee defeated Taya Valkyrie. Susan returned during the match & attacked Rosemary alongside Deonna Purrazzo which helped distract Taya Valkyrie.
– Taya will challenge Deonna Purrazzo for the Impact Knockout’s Championship at Hard to Kill this Saturday. Saturday at 7 will be a special countdown for Hard to Kill that will have a bonus match aired on it. Also Havok & Nevaeh vs. Kiera Hogan & Tasha Steelz to determine the new Impact Knockout’s Tag Team Champions.
– We see Omega, Callis & the Good Brothers discussing how they’ll be in Jacksonville tomorrow night & they don’t need any distractions for Saturday’s Hard to Kill. Callis tells Anderson that he wants to see the real Machine Gun in his match tonight against Rich Swann.
– Next up we see a paid service announcement from Tony Khan & Tony Schiavone discussing how Impact had a great 2020 & they’ll luck out and get to see a real wrestling show tomorrow night since it’ll be New Year’s Smash Night 2. Khan asks Schiavone if he knew that Brian Cage was a former Impact World Champion. Schiavone says yes I did & Khan says huh, didn’t think you’d know that.
– We see a video package of the feud between Sami Callihan & Eddie Edwards & how they’ll do battle this Saturday at Hard to Kill in a Barbed Wire Massacre match. Also Ethan Page will take on the Karate Man. Manik will defend the X-Division Championship against Chris Bey & Rohit Raju. Eric Young, Joe Doering & Deaner vs. Tommy Dreamer, Cousin Jake & Rhino in a Old School Rules match. The main event for Hard to Kill will be Rich Swann & The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Kenny Omega & The Good Brothers.
***Match #2: Chris Bey & Rohit Raju defeated Manik & Suicide. Bey hit the Art of Finesse on Suicide to get the win.
– We see a promo from Rosemary & Taya Valkyrie discussing how Taya can’t believe how she lost to Kimber Lee & Rosemary tells her to prepare for her title match Saturday because “we” will come up with something.
***Match #3: Deaner defeated Tommy Dreamer by DQ. Cousin Jake attacked Deaner to cause the DQ. After that Young, Deaner & Doering stand tall after the match.
– We see a recap of the Knockout’s Tag Team Tournament to determine the new Knockout’s Tag Team Champions. Then the contract signing between Steelz/Hogan & Havok/Nevaeh, Brian Myers shows up to ask Scott D’Amore what he has to do to get a match. Josh Alexander shows up and says Myers didn’t defeat him so D’Amore says they need to finish things between them.
***Match #4: Rosemary defeated Tenille Dashwood. Crazzy Steve showed up to help Rosemary shake off Kaleb & his interference. Tenille was going to use hair spray on Rosemary but then she used it on Tenille then she hit a Spear to win.
– We see a promo from Rich Swann discussing how everyone is banned from ringside so we’ll see what’s up when he walks like that! He tells Anderson to do whatever he has to when he hits the tour bus later, even pop a top if he has to ease the pain because he’ll turn to Omega & Gallows and say “Boys, we’re gonna get our ass kicked this Saturday.
– We see a recap of the falling out between the North. Also how Ethan Page will take on Karate Man at Hard to Kill.
***Match #5: Moose defeated Matthew Palmer. Referee called for the bell due Moose hitting Palmer repeatedly with elbow smashes & knocking him out.
– We see a recap of the formation of Omega & Callis. We then see everything that lead up to the 6-Man Tag Team match at Hard to Kill.
***Match #6: Rich Swann defeated Karl Anderson by using a Schoolboy. After the match we see Omega & Gallows attacking Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin but then Swann & Anderson show up to have a all out brawl and then the show cuts off.
