SAG Stands With Zelina Vega Following her WWE Release
As previously reported, the wrestling world was left reeling yesterday when WWE announced the release of Zelina Vega. Shortly before WWE confirmed her release, Vega posted a tweet on her official account stating, “I support unionization.” It appears Vega’s comments have earned the attention of The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio (SAG-AFTRA), along with the union’s President, Gabriella Carteris (who portrayed Andrea Zuckerman in Beverly Hills, 90210).
First off, after Vega’s tweet on unionization, the official SAG-AFTRA Twitter account responded to Vega’s comment, responding, “So do we.” Later on, Carteris tweeted a public message on her own Twitter, writing to Zelina Vega, “Hey @Zelina_VegaWWE Thanks for standing strong for labor solidarity. I support you. Please email me PresidentCarteris@sagaftra.org”
