More on WWE pulling matches from the Clash of Champions card

As previously noted, WWE has axed two matches for tonight’s Clash of Champions PPV, Bayley vs. Nikki Cross and Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Title defense against the Riott Squad.

With the COVID outbreak within NXT circles, WWE is taking precautions as Nikki Cross is married to NXT’s Killian Dain. Additionally, Shayne Baszler is roommates with NXT’s Jessamyn Duke and Nia Jax’s tag partner is Shayna Baszler, which explains why WWE removed both matches from the PPV card.

Just to be clear, don't presume that any or all of the individuals pulled from the show have COVID. Perhaps they did. But the company has also pulled people who have been in CONTACT with someone who tested positive for precautionary reasons.

update: WWE did report that Bayley and Nikki Cross have not been medically cleared to compete tonight at Clash of Champions.
