More details on Marcus Bagwell’s serious auto accident

As previously reported, Former WCW star Marcus “Buff” Bagwell suffered a broken right hip, broken ribs, a broken left eye socket bone, a torn groin and has lots of bruising from the car wreck he was in this past Saturday 8/16, according to UCW promoter Ron Gossett. Miraculously, Gossett noted that Bagwell will not require surgery.

According to an announcement released on 8/18 by authorities seeking witnesses, Bagwell was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe while driving West on Cumberland Boulevard towards Cumberland Parkway in Cobb County on Sunday 8/16. Around 5:18 PM, Bagwell lost control as he followed a curve in the road, striking the center median and a metal fence inside the median, before driving towards oncoming traffic on the opposite side of the road. The car then hit the curb before colliding a “free-standing bathroom” next to a bus station.

Bagwell was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA with serious injuries. The announcement noted that “Investigators believe Bagwell was impaired by prescription medication during the collision.”

Police are investigating the incident.
