AEW News and Notes
– Kenny Omega is handling the quest for an AEW video game. That’s his passion so he heads that pursuit.
– Don’t expect former WWE superstar Jon Moxley to drop the AEW title anytime soon. The current plan has Moxley remaining AEW champion through the end of 2020, and likely into 2021.
– Most AEW contracts permit the talent to appear for other promotions other than World Wrestling Entertainment.
– Speaking on contracts, Brian Pillman Jr. still has a ten date deal with MLW but hasn’t been booked as they haven’t been running shows during the Coronavirus pandemic. Because MLW allows him to appear for other companies besides WWE, his agent was able to get him a dark match for AEW. Pillman doesn’t owe MLW any money, so those ten appearances that he’s contracted for could be wiped clean because he hasn’t received any advanced pay to cover it.
