Biography

– Knobbs began his career with the AWA. He briefly worked under a mask, before becoming Brian Knobbs in 1986
– Knobbs & Jerry Sags formed ‘The Nasty Boys’ in early 1987
– On September 12, 1987, The Nasty Boys defeated Badd Company (Paul Diamond & Pat Tanaka) to win the AWA Southern Tag Team Titles, lost them to The Rock n Roll RPMs (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane) a week later, then regained them on October 3
– On November 9, 1988, The Nasty Boys defeated Johnny Ace & The Terminator to win the FCW Tag Team Titles
– On November 30, The Nasty Boys defeated The Star Riders (Rock & Blade) to retain the FCW Tag Team Titles
– On December 6, The Nasty Boys again defeated The Star Riders to retain the FCW Tag Team Titles
– On March 24, 1989, The Nasty Boys defeated Johnny Ace & The Terminator to win the PWF Tag Team Titles, but would lose them to Southern Force (Tony Anthony & Black Bart) a few days later

– With Sags suffering what was believed to be a career-ending concussion, Knobbs would go solo, eventually becoming a staple of WCW’s Hardcore division
– At Fall Brawl 1999, The First Family (Knobbs & Hugh Morrus) defeated The Revolution (Shane Douglas & Dean Malenko)
– On the January 12, 2000 episode of Thunder, Knobbs defeated Norman Smiley to win the WCW Hardcore Title
– At Souled Out 2000, Knobbs defeated Smiley, Fit Finlay & Meng to retain the WCW Hardcore Title, but would soon lose it to Bam Bam Bigelow
– At SuperBrawl 2000, Knobbs defeated Bam Bam Bigelow to regain the WCW Hardcore Title, but would lose it to the team of 3 Count (Shane Helms, Evan Karagias & Shannon Moore) a week later on Nitro
– At Uncensored 2000, Knobbs defeated all three members of 3 Count in a Gauntlet Match to regain the WCW Hardcore Title
– A week later on Thunder, Knobbs defeated The Dog to retain the WCW Hardcore Title
– Knobbs left WCW in mid-2000
– Sags returned to wrestling and reunited with Knobbs as The Nasty Boys in 2001 for Jimmy Hart’s XWF promotion. Knobbs also had a hand in booking the company
– On November 14, The Nasty Boys defeated The Road Warriors (Hawk & Animal), The Shane Twins (Mike & Todd) and The South Philly Posse (Johnny Grunge & Rocco Rock) to become the first XWF Tag Team Champions
– At WWC’s 29th Anniversary Show, The Nasty Boys defeated The Reggaetones to retain the XWF Tag Team Titles
– The XWF folded in 2002 and Sags once again chose to step away from the business, letting Knobbs go solo once more
– The Nasty Boys reunited for a WWE Smackdown dark match in November 2007, but with the match quality considered ‘disastrous’, nothing further came of it

– Knobbs has suffered with poor health in the 2020s, regularly being hospitalised for various conditions and seeking help via GoFundMe
– In 2024, Knobbs became homeless due to destruction caused by Hurricane Milton
