Biography
– Durante first came to prominence in 1989, working a series of WWF tapings as an enhancement talent, often alongside former Pitbulls team-mate Gary Wolfe
– Durante and Wolfe competed regularly for SAPW in 1990, working as The American Bulldogs, Rex (Wolfe) & Spike (Durante)
– On September 11, 1990, The Pitbulldogs (Rex & Spike) defeated The Nasty Boys (Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags) to win the SAPW Tag Team Titles
– On November 3, The Pitbulldogs defeated Vince Torelli & Tommy Seabolt to retain the SAPW Tag Team Titles
– On November 17, The Pitbulldogs defeated Tommy Seabolt & Ranger Ross to retain the SAPW Tag Team Titles
– In July 1991, Wolfe & Durante began a short run with New Japan as ‘The Mad Bull Busters’
