Biography
– Southwick is a former Greco-Roman All-American & 2x NCAA All-American amateur wrestler at Ashland University
– Southwick began his wrestling career as ‘Jake South’ in Ohio’s MOW promotion
– On September 10, 2011, South & Cyrus Poe defeated Axel & The Bouncer to win the Mid-Ohio Tag Team Titles
– In September 2012, Southwick signed a WWE development deal and would be renamed ‘Sawyer Fulton’
– Fulton wrestled his first WWE match on October 18, 2012, coming out on the wrong side of an 8-man tag team match
– Fulton made his TV debut in May 2013, teaming with Travis Tyler in a loss to The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)
– In September 2016, Fulton joined Eric Young’s Sanity stable, the group debuting on NXT TV the next month
– Fulton suffered a torn pectoral muscle in late 2016 and was kicked out of Sanity as a result
– In November 2017, Fulton was released by WWE and he returned to the indies, now under the name ‘Madman Fulton’
