Biography

– Saint twice held the World Lightweight Championship in the 1970s and would go on to hold the title 10 times into the 1990s. Many of the specific match results have been lost to history
– On April 25, 1979, Saint defeated Jim Breaks to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On November 25, 1981, Saint defeated Mal Sanders to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On March 30, 1984, Saint defeated Jackie Robinson to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On January 13, 1987, Saint defeated Mike Jordan to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On April 6, Saint defeated Jon Cortez to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On May 24, 1988, Saint defeated Mike Jordan to win the World Lightweight Title for the ninth time
– On November 7, Saint defeated Steve Grey to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On February 6, 1996, Saint fought Jason Cross to a time-limit draw to retain the World Lightweight Title. This is the final recorded defense of the title in the UK, as Saint would take the title to Japan for the remainder of its lifetime
– On July 20, Saint defeated Masato Yakushiji at a Michinoku Pro event in Miyagi to retain the World Lightweight Title
– On July 24, Saint again defeated Yakushiji to retain the World Lightweight Title. This is the final recorded defense of the title before it was deactivated in October and would also be Saint’s last match for over a decade
– Saint came out of retirement aged 54 for the 2007 LDN Legends Showdown event, defeating fellow UK veteran Johnny Kidd

– In June 2015, at the age of 72, Saint wrestled his final match, teaming with Manuel Majoli to defeated Psycho Mike & Mr Excellent
