Jim Ross, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone are on commentary, and they run down the card for tonight’s debut episode.

The video hype package for the match between Cody and Sammy Guevara airs.

Match #1 – Singles Match: Cody (w/Brandi Rhodes) vs. Sammy Guevara
Guevara applies a headlock, but Cody sends him off the ropes. Guevara comes back and takes Cody down, but Cody goes to the floor. Guevara taunts Cody as he gets back into the ring, and Cody goes behind for a waist-lock. Cody delivers en elbow, but Guevara takes him down with a dropkick. Guevara connects with a standing moonsault and goes for the cover, but Cody kicks out. Cody comes back with a side-headlock take down, but Guevara sends him off the ropes. Cody drops him with a shoulder tackle, but Guevara comes back and slaps him in the face. Cody returns the favor and then drops Guevara with a power slam. Cody goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out. Cody applies the Figure-Four, but Guevara makes it to the ropes. Cody wrenches Guevara’s arm and delivers a few shots. Cody sends Guevara to the corner and slaps him across the chest a few times. Cody slams Guevara to the mat and goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out. Guevara comes back with a kick to the head, but Cody takes him down with a springboard cutter. Cody goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out.
Cody sends Guevara to the apron, but Guevara comes back with an enzuigiri. Guevara drops Cody with a cutter of his own and goes for the cover, but Cody kicks out. Guevara delivers another enzuigiri, but Cody sends him to the floor with a kick to the face. Cody goes for a suicide dive, but Guevara pulls Brandi in front of him and Cody lays Brandi out with the dive. Guevara tosses Cody back into the ring and goes up top. Guevara goes for a moonsault, but Cody dodges. Guevara connects on a running Shooting Star Press and goes for the cover, but Cody kicks out. Cody trips Guevara into the ropes and Brandi hits him. Cody delivers the Disaster Kick and goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out. Cody and Guevara go to the ropes and Cody delivers an avalanche suplex from the top. Cody goes for the cover, but Guevara kicks out. Cody delivers a back elbow and goes back up top. Guevara cuts him off and slams him down with a Spanish Fly. Guevara goes for the cover, but Cody kicks out.
Guevara goes up top and dives, but Cody gets his knees up. Cody rolls Guevara up and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Cody
-After the match, Schiavone gets into the ring to interview Cody, but Guevara interrupts. Guevara extends his hand for a handshake, and Cody accepts. Chris Jericho attacks Cody from behind and beats him down. The beat down continues during the commercial break and after. Jericho power bombs Cody through a few chairs.

Match #2 – Singles Match: Brandon Cutler vs. MJF
MJF backs Cutler into the ropes, but Cutler comes back and rolls MJF up for a two count. MJF rakes Cutler’s eyes and sends him into the corner. MJF slams Cutler to the mat and then tries to send him off the ropes, but Cutler holds on. Cutler sends MJF to the floor and takes him out with a suicide dive. Cutler tosses MJF back into the ring and goes up top, but loses his balance and tweaks his knee on the mat. MJF connects with a right hand and then locks in an arm-bar and Cutler taps out.
Winner: MJF

Chris Van Vliet interviews Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes at ringside. They talk about the Jay and Silent Bob reboot, which Chris Jericho stars in. Angelico and Jack Evans interrupt and they argue with Smith and Mewes and then Private Party show up and give drinks to Smith and Mewes.

Ross, Excalibur, and Schiavone hype the AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament, which starts next week.

A video of SoCal Uncensored touring around Washington, D.C. airs. They say Washington, D.C. is the worst town they’ve ever been in, and then they are live in the arena with Schiavone. Scorpio Sky says while any of the three of them could bring home the gold, he is going to sit it out so the experience of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian can bring the titles home. The Lucha Brothers interrupt. Rey Fenix says they are the best tag team in the universe and Pentagon spits water in Daniels’ face. Both teams brawl as referees and security try to separate them.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are shown warming up backstage, while Jericho gives a pep talk to Ortiz and Santana.

Match #3 – Singles Match: Adam Page vs. PAC
PAC kicks Page in the head and then they exchange forearm shots. Page drops PAC with a spinning lariat and sends him to the corner. Page delivers a chop and PAC rolls to the floor. Page follows him out and slams him into the barricade a few times. Page gets back into the ring and then takes PAC out with a suicide dive. Page tosses PAC back into the ring, but PAC catches him on the apron. PAC runs the ropes, but Page catches him and delivers a fall-away slam. Page splashes onto PAC and goes for the cover, but PAC kicks out. PAC comes back with a shot to the back of the head and then drapes Page over the top rope. Page falls to the floor, but PAC kicks him in the head. PAC takes Page down with a springboard moonsault and tosses him back into the ring. PAC connects with a springboard 450 splash and goes for the cover, but Page kicks out. PAC kicks Page in the midsection and stomps away on him. PAC goes up top, but Page rolls out of the way. PAC delivers a dropkick in the corner and climbs away.
Page grabs PAC’s ankle to cut him off and delivers a superkick. Page climbs and tosses PAC across the ring from the top. Page delivers a dropkick and then slams him to the mat with a cutter. Page goes for the cover, but PAC kicks out. PAC comes back and slams Page shoulder-first into the ring post and Page falls to the floor as the show heads to a commercial.
Back from the break, PAC is in control in the ring. Page comes back and takes PAC down and sets up for the Dead Eye, but PAC grabs the ropes. PAC delivers a right hand and comes off the ropes, but Page connects with a right hand. Page delivers a power bomb and goes for the cover, but PAC kicks out. PAC goes to the floor, but Page takes him out with a moonsault. Page tosses PAC back into the ring and goes for the Buckshot, but PAC dodges and Page almost sends him into the referee. PAC delivers a low-blow and hits the Black Arrow from the top. PAC applies the Brutalizer and Page passes out.
Winner: PAC

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. makes her way to the announce booth for the next match.

Match #4 – Singles Match to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion: Nyla Rose vs. Riho
Riho punches Rose into the corner, but Rose comes back with clubbing shots. Riho delivers a few dropkicks and then takes Rose down with a head scissors take down. Riho runs the ropes, but Rose drops her with a shoulder tackle. Rose connects with a splash and goes for the cover, but Riho bridges out. Riho stomps on Rose’s back and goes for a double stomp, but Rose shoves her away. Rose chokes Riho over the ropes and then kicks her in the back. Rose applies a rear chin-lock on the mat, but Riho makes it to the ropes. Rose picks Riho up, but Riho gets free. Riho applies a waist-lock, but Rose delivers a back elbow. Rose applies a waist-lock of her own, but Riho delivers a back elbow of her own. Riho delivers a few knee strikes that sends Rose to the floor. Riho goes up top and goes for a dive, but Rose catches her and delivers a back-breaker. Rose grabs a chair and tries to use it, but the referee stops her. Riho hits Rose from behind, but Rose slams her into the barricade a few times.
Rose grabs more chairs from under the ring and puts Riho on top of them. Rose goes for a senton, but Riho moves and Rose htis the chairs. Riho delivers a double stomp and tosses Rose back into the ring. Riho goes up top and stomps on Rose’s back. Riho goes for the cover, but Rose kicks out. Riho applies a cross-face as the show heads to a commercial break.
Back from the break, Rose is in control. Riho tries to pick Rose up, but Riho collapses to the mat. Riho tries to come back, but Rose plants her with a Death Valley Driver. Rose goes for the cover, but Riho kicks out. Rose goes up top, but Riho cuts her off. Riho suplexes Rose to the mat and goes for the cover, but Rose kicks out. Riho delivers a low dropkick and then double knees to the face and gets the pin fall.
Winner and inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion: Riho
-After the match, Michel Nakazawa comes to the ring. He says the fans are proud of Riho and he is proud of her. Rose attacks both of them from behind and delivers a power bomb to Nakazawa. Rose grabs Riho, but Kenny Omega runs out for the save and Rose backs off.

Match #5 – Six-Man Tag team Match: Chris Jericho, Ortiz, and Santana vs. The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks)
Omega and Jericho start the match, but Jericho immediately tags in Santana Omega delivers some chops, but Santana comes back with a headbutt. Omega comes back and takes Santana down and Santana rolls to the floor. Ortiz gets involved, but Oega takes him down as well. Jericho gets into the ring and goes for the Liontamer, but The Bucks delivers a double superkick. The Bucks take out Santana and Ortiz on the floor and then Jon Moxley rushes the ring and attacks Omega. Moxley tosses Omega to the floor and beats him through the crowd. They brawl in the crowd as the match continues in the ring. Moxley and Omega brawl backstage and then they crash through a glass table in the VIP area as the show goes to a commercial.
Back from the break, Ortiz is in control of Matt. Santana tags in and slams Matt to the mat and tags in Ortiz, but Matt comes back with a spear. Matt goes for the spear, but Santana pulls Nick to the floor. Santana and Ortiz double team Matt and Ortiz goes for the cover, but Matt kicks out. Jericho tags in and goes for the Lionsault, but Matt gets his knees up. Matt goes for the tag, but Ortiz tags in and knocks Matt to the canvas and Nick to the floor. Ortiz charges at Matt, but Matt gets his boots up to block. Matt drops Ortiz with a cutter, but Santana tags in. Santana knocks Nick to the floor, but Matt drops Santana with a suplex. Matt then drops Santana and Ortiz with a double suplex. Nick tags in and delivers kicks and knees to Ortiz and Santana. He takes them down with a bulldog/lariat combination and then delivers a double stomp to Jericho. Nick double stomps Ortiz and then takes Santana down with a moonsault. Nick tosses Santana into the ring and tags in Matt.
They set up for the Meltzer Driver, but Jericho hits Nick with the Judas Effect. Jericho offically tags in and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Chris Jericho, Ortiz, and Santana
-After the match, Jericho, Ortiz, and Santana attack the Bucks, but Cody rushes the ring for the save. Guevara then attacks Cody, then Dustin Rhodes runs out as well. Jake Hager rushes the ring and attacks The Bucks and Cody. Hager power bombs Dustin onto a table as the heels keep the faces grounded. Jericho lays Cody out with the Judas Effect and the heels pile the faces in the middle of the ring as the show comes to a close.
