– Takagi made his debut for the Dragon Gate promotion in October 2004, competing as part of the Crazy MAX promotion
– On February 23, 2005, Blood Generation (Takagi, CIMA & Naruki Doi) defeated Final M2K (Susumu Yokosuka, Masaaki Mochizuki & Kenichiro Arai) to win the vacant Dragon Gate Open the Triangle Gate Titles
– In August 2005, Takagi competed on the Ring of Honor Dragon Gate Invasion event, losing to Curry Man
– In June 2006, Takagi began a year-long stint in the USA, competing primarily with Ring of Honor, but also made appearances for FIP and PWG
