– Taguchi made his first appearances on the NJPW Triathlon Survivor tour in late-2002
– On January 30, 2003, he won his first professional match, defeating Naofumi Yamamoto
– Taguchi entered the 2003 Best of the Super Juniors Tournament, but failed to win any matches
– At NJPW’s Osaka Dream Night in August 2003, Taguchi defeated Hirooki Goto
