Jeff Jarrett reportedly a “key guy” in WWE creative
It was reported last week that Jeff Jarrett has joined the creative team in WWE, which will be a full-time executive level role in the company. In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said that the belief in WWE is that Jeff Jarrett will be “very influential” or become a “key guy” in creative. It’s believed he’ll be one of the most influential behind the scenes, aside from Triple H and key writers like Ed Koskey, Dave Kapoor, Brian James and Michael Hayes, as well as perhaps Paul Heyman.
Jarrett is said to be “well known for being very charming” in that if one works with him, he has the ability to make that person feel like a friend. In addition to that, many of the wrestlers grew up watching him and knew that he ran his own company, which gives him authority that a non-wrestler wouldn’t have, especially with wrestlers who grew up as fans.
The Observer noted that Jarrett’s departure from Impact was said to be due to drinking, but now that he is sober and completed a stay in rehab, he has not had any issues.
