Why Was Nia Jax Added to the Men’s Royal Rumble?
This past Sunday at the Royal Rumble, Nia Jax came out for the Men’s Royal Rumble, attacking R-Truth and stealing his spot. According to the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, this was done to add more intergender matches to WWE. Viewers were reportedly unhappy that men and women couldn’t wrestle each other in the Mixed Match Challenge, which led to the change. Jax eliminated Mustafa Ali in the match before getting attacked by Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Dolph Ziggler.
WWE would have her interact with the male roster again the next night after she knocked Dean Ambrose out of the ring on RAW.
