CM Punk Copyright Violation Pursued by AEW

Jan 23, 2019 - by James Walsh

A copyright violation for a CM Punk shirt is being pursued by All Elite Wrestling, according to an eagle-eyed writer on Twitter. Douglas Hinkley shared a picture of a notice that a CM Punk T-Shirt on Redbubble was taken down after it was found to violate Pro Wrestling Tee’s copyright. Of note, the subject matter includes AEW as well as Pro Wrestling Tees.

Whether this means that Pro Wrestling Tees is moving more closely under the AEW umbrella or that CM Punk has a deal with the promotion of some kind for merchandise or more isn’t clear. However, Punk has been very clear in the past that he is not interested in returning to wrestling right now, so the former is more likely.
