11/21/18 WWE 205 Live Recap: Dar vs. Nese; Kendrick and Tozawa in Action; Metalik vs. TJP Main Event

205 Live opens with a recap of the Cruiserweight Championship Match from Survivor Series, in which Buddy Murphy retained the title against Mustafa Ali. The opening credits roll, and Nigel McGuinness, Percy Watson, and Vic Joseph welcome us to the show.

Buddy Murphy’s music hits and the WWE Cruiserweight Champion makes his way to the stage. He welcomes everyone to his 205 Live and asks if anyone really thought that Mustafa Ali was going to beat him at Survivor Series. He says everyone’s opinion means nothing to him because he proved that you cannot stop the unstoppable.

Match #1 – Singles Match: Tony Nese (w/Buddy Murphy) vs. Noam Dar
Dar applies a side-headlock, but Nese sends him off the ropes and drops him with a shoulder tackle. Nese taunts Dar, but Dar grab him and applies a standing arm-bar. Nese counters into a waist-lock, but Dar gets free and trips Nese up. Dar connects with a shot to the midsection and then a back-slide for a two count. Dar tosses Nese to the apron an then trips him up. Dar dropkicks Nese to the floor and then gets in Murphy’s face. Nese comes back and slams Dar into the apron and then delivers a rib-breaker across his knee. Nese tosses Dar back into the ring and then takes Dar down with a flying forearm. Nese goes for the cover, but Dar kicks out at two. Nese applies a body-scissors down on the mat, but Dar fights to his feet and applies an octopus submission. Nese gets free and takes Dar to the mat. Nese goes for a springboard moonsault, but Dar moves out of the way and locks in a standing front face-lock. Nese counters into a Norther Light Suplex pin, but Dar kicks out at two.
Dar comes back and takes Nese to the mat, but Nese delivers a forearm shot. Dar comes back and kicks Nese in the face and then follows it up with another one. Dar goes for the cover, but Nese kicks out at two. Dar sets up for the Nova Roller, but Murphy distracts him. Nese smashes Dar in the corner and then delivers a German suplex into the corner. Nese connects with the Running Nese and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Tony Nese

We see a promo from Mustafa Ali. He says his loss is a minor setback, but he will be back and he will win the Cruiserweight Champions. We see Drake Maverick in his office and he tells the referee to make sure there are no shenanigans in the match between Gran Metalik and TJP tonight. Cedric Alexander walks in Maverick congratulates him on his win from last week and makes a match for next week: Alexander and Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy.

Match #2 – Tag Team Match: Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick vs. Two Local Competitors
Kendrick starts the match and locks up with one of the guys. Kendrick applies a side-headlock and takes the guy down. Tozawa tags in and they drop the guy with a double elbow shot. Tozawa connects with a back senton and then delivers a few chops and a right jab. Tozawa stomps away on the guy ans tags Kendrick back in. They kick the guy in the face and Kendrick goes for the cover, but the guy kicks out at two. Tozawa tags back in and kicks the guy in the midsection, but the guy comes back with a knee and tags in his partner. Tozawa takes the guy down with a hip-toss and delivers a Shining Wizard. Tozawa goes for the cover, but the guy kicks out at two. Kendrick tags in and he and Tozawa slam the guy to the mat. Kendrick goes for the cover, but the guy kicks out at two. The guy’s partner tags in and Kendrick sends one to the floor. Kendrick delivers a heel kick to the other ans tags in Tozawa.
Tozawa kicks the guy in the face and then delivers an enzuiguri. Tozawa goes up top and delivers a missile dropkick. Tozawa goes for the cover, but the other guy breaks it up. Kendrick tosses the guy to the floor and hits Sliced Bread #2 on the legal guy. Tozawa hits the top rope senton and gets the pin fall.
Winners: Akira Tozawa and The Brian Kendrick

We see Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese backstage. Murphy asks if they are finally getting the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships because the tag team match next week is a joke. He says he has already beaten Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali on his own, so just imagine what they will do to them next week.

In addition, we see that Hideo Itami will return to 205 Live on next week’s show.

Match #3 – Singles Match: Gran Metalik vs. TJP
Before the match, Drake Maverick and referees send Kalisto, Lince Dorado, Mike Kanellis, and Maria Kanellis backstage.

Once the match get started, neither man gains an advantage for a bit. TJP then grounds Meltaik and locks in a bridging front face-lock submission. Metalik gets partially free, but TJP keeps the lower body portion of the submission locked. Metalik finally gets to the ropes, but TJP holds on until the four count. TJP delivers an elbow shot in the corner and then sends Metalik across the ring. TJP goes up top, but Metalik cuts him off. Metalik climbs as well and goes for a suplex, but TJP sends him back down to the mat. Metalik comes back with a corner dropkick and goes for the cover, but TJP kicks out at two. Metalik goes up top and goes for a moonsault, but TJP gets his feet up to block. TJP delivers a Tiger Driver and goes for the cover, but Metalik kicks out at two. TJP goes up top and dives, but Metalik moves.
Metalik slaps TJP across the chest and delivers a missile dropkick. Metalik goes for the cover, but TJP kicks out at two. TJP comes back an sends Metalik into the ropes and then delivers a dropkick. Metalik comes back and sends TJP to the floor. Metalik gets TJP back into the ring and hits the Metalik Driver. Metalik goes up top and goes for a springboard elbow drop, but TJP catches him and goes for an arm-bar. Metalik gets free, but TJP then locks in a knee-bar. Metalik makes it to the ropes and TJP grabs one of the pinatas that was in the ring. Metalik counters with a chop and then rolls him up for the pin fall.
Winner: Gran Metalik
-After the match, Kalisto and Lince Dorado rush the ring and celebrate with Metalik. Maria Kanellis runs out screaming, “How could you? I have a family!” and Drake Maverick is trying to calm her down. Mike Kanellis gets into the ring and lays out the Luchas with a chair. Maria smiles and hands the microphone to Maverick. Mike and TJP beat down the Luchas and then leave with Maria.
