11/20/18 WWE Mixed Match Challenge Recap: Mahal/Fox vs. Roode/Natalya; Truth/Carmella vs. Rusev/Lana
Match #1 – Mixed Match Challenge Tournament Match – Win or Go Home: Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox) (w/The Singh Brothers) vs. Team Pawz (Bobby Roode and Natalya)
Mahal and Roode start the match with a lock-up. Mahal applies a wrist-lock, but Roode turns it into one of his own. Mahal counters with an elbow shot and then takes Roode down to the mat. Roode gets free, but Mahal drops him with a shoulder tackle. Roode comes back with a few chops in the corner and then goes for the Glorious DDT, but Mahal gets free and tags in Fox. Natalya enters as well and drops Fox with a clothesline. Natalya slams Fox to the mat and delivers a kick to the face. Natalya goes for the cover, but Fox kicks out at two. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter, but Fox gets to the ropes and then kicks Natalya in the face. Fox applies a rear chin-lock down on the mat, and then drops an elbow. Fox goes for the cover, but Natalya kicks out at two. Fox applies a front face-lock, but Natalya fights back. Fox counters back and delivers he Northern Lights Suplex and goes for the cover, but Natalya kicks out at two.
Fox kicks Natalya in the ribs, but Natalya comes back with a roll-up for two. Fox comes back with a clothesline and goes for the cover, but Natalya kicks out at two. Natalya fights back and takes Fox to the mat and goes for the cover, but Fox kicks out at two. Fox comes back and stomps away on Natalya in the corner and goes for a big boot, but Natalya dodges it. Roode tags in and Mahal enters as well. Roode drops Mahal with a few clotheslines and then delivers a spear in the corner. Roode kicks Mahal in the face and then connects with a Blockbuster. Roode goes for the cover, but Mahal kicks out at two. The Singh Brothers get involved and Mahal goes for the Khallas, but Roode counters with a roll-up for two. Natalya pulls Fox off the apron and the Singhs get involved again. Mahal grabs Roode and delivers the Khallas and gets the pin fall.
Winners and advancing to the playoffs: Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox
Bobby Roode and Natalya have been eliminated.
-After the match, we see that Braun Strowman and AJ Styles are both out of the Mixed Match Challenge. Strowman’s replacement will be revealed next week, and Jeff Hardy is Styles’ replacement.
We also see the playoff tournament bracket. On the Raw side, Ember Moon and her new partner will take on Mahal and Fox, while Bobby Lashley and Mickie James will take on Finn Balor and Bayley. As for Smackdown, Hardy and Charlotte Flair will take on whoever the 4-seed is, and The Miz and Asuka will take on Jimmy Uso and Naomi.

Match #2 – Mixed Match Challenge Tournament Match – Win or Go Home: Ravishing Rusev Day (Rusev and Lana) vs. The Fabulous Truth (R-Truth and Carmella)
After some shenanigans, Rusev and Lana jump Truth and Carmella from behind and Lana goes for a quick cover. Carmella kicks out at one, but Lana keeps control of the match. Lana goes for a suplex, but Carmella counters with a roll-up for two. Lana slams Carmella to the mat again and then chokes her over the middle rope. Lana drives her knees into Carmella’s back and and goes for the cover, but Carmella kicks out at two. Lana stomps away on Carmella in the corner and then applies a rear chin-lock on the mat. Carmella counters with a jaw-breaker and goes for the tag, but Rusev pulls Truth off the apron. Lana kicks Carmella to the outside and then tags in Rusev. Rusev tosses Truth back into the ring and stomps away on him. Rusev delivers a few right hands and then tags Lana back in. Lana slams Carmella into the announce table and then tosses her back into the ring.
Truth decks Rusev on the floor and then beats him down. Lana kicks Truth in the back of the head and gets into the ring, but Carmella delivers a superkick and gets the pin fall.
Winners and advancing to the playoffs: Carmella and R-Truth
Lana and Rusev have been eliminated.
On next week’s show, Ember Moon and her partner will take on Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal, and Bobby Lashley and Mickie James will take on Finn Balor and Bayley.
