WWE Considering Japan As New Performance Center Location

Nov 15, 2018 - by Steve Gerweck

Dave Meltzer discussed the ideas that Triple H touched on during Wrestling Observer Radio where he disclosed that he did hear “for sure” that WWE was planning a Japanese WWE Performance Center.

“He didn’t say where, I mean I’ve heard several different places. I mean Germany obviously, the UK obviously, Saudi Arabia obviously there’s also issues and there’s probably others as well. But many different places probably Mexico, South America, Japan — actually I did hear for sure Japan as one of the places.”

“But they’re earmarking these places. He said that there’s going to be lots of news coming out of this next year. But the idea is all the NXT Champions might tour all the little NXT places that the champions from the little NXT places might come to the United States. That the UK guys are going to come in for WrestleMania Weekend this year.”

“He talked about the idea that some of the older guys who get signed on to #NXT might now make it to the main roster but they might end up as coaches.”
