WWE Issues Statement on Daniel Bryan/John Cena Reportedly Refusing To Work Crown Jewel Event

Barstool Sports‘ Robbie Fox first dropped the news on Twitter this week saying the two wrestlers informed management that they will not be working the event.

So far Pro Wrestling Sheets confirmed with sources that Daniel did indeed tell management he will not work the event due to the Saudi government’s reported involvement in the death of Jamal Khashoggi. .

No confirmation on the Cena side of things, including from one of his representatives, but Robbie Fox says the wrestler/actor will not be on the show either.

A rep for WWE started the following comment on the matter saying: “As always, we maintain an open line of communication with our performers and will address each situation accordingly.”
