Mixed Match Challenge Tournament First Round Match: Big E and Carmella (w/Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. The Miz and Asuka
Big E and Miz start the match. Miz goes behind with a waist-lock, but Big E gyrates and tosses him aside. Big E grabs Miz and applies an abdominal stretch and then spanks him. Big E drops Miz with a back elbow and Miz backs into his corner. Asuka tags in and Carmella gets into the ring as well. Asuka goes for a kick, but Carmella backs into the ropes and Big E goes under the ring and pulls out a foam letter L. Big E tells Carmella to give Asuka “this L” and Carmella takes it into the ring. Asuka takes it and rips it in half. Carmella tags Big E back in, and Miz re-enters as well.
Miz catches Big E with a knee raise against the ropes and then takes him down to the mat. Big E comes back with a few belly-to-belly suplexes. Big E splashes down onto Miz and goes for the Big Ending, but Miz gets free and drops Big E with a DDT. Miz goes for the cover, but Carmella breaks it up. Asuka gets into the ring and takes Carmella down. Miz and Asuka then connects with the It Kicks on Big E and Carmella. Miz goes for a cover on Big E, but he kicks out at two. Miz applies a headlock down on the mat and then drops Big E with a neck-breaker. Miz goes for the cover, but Big E kicks out at two.
Miz connects with a few more kicks to Big E, but E comes back with a few right hands to the midsection. Miz pulls Big E into the ropes and then applies a front face-lock. Asuka tags in and Carmella enters as well. Asuka drops Carmella with the hip attack and Miz celebrates with her, but Carmella drops her with a superkick. Carmella beats down Asuka in the corner and then delivers the Bronco Buster. Carmella pie-faces Asuka a few times and then slaps her. Asuka comes back with a spinning back fist and then a series of lefts and rights. Asuka drops Carmella with a kick and then a basement dropkick. Asuka locks in the Asuka Lock and Carmella taps out as Miz pulls Big E off the apron.
Winners: Asuka and The Miz.
After the match, Asuka cuts a quick promo in Japanese and Miz says he will translate. He says that Asuka said that she has learned more on how to be a champion from him than everyone in her entire life. Miz says he is an inspiration and they dominated their match tonight and they will dominate the rest of the tournament.

We see that next week’s Mixed Match Challenge will feature Alexa Bliss and Braun Strowman vs. Becky Lynch and Sami Zayn.
