– Crist began his career as ‘Crazy J’, competing primarily for BPW and HWA in Ohio
– Crist was joined in the wrestling business by real-life brother Dave, who would compete as ‘Lotus’
– On February 6, 2004, Crazy J & Lotus defeated TJ Dalton & JT Stahr in a Ladder Match to win the HWA Tag Team Titles, but would lose them back less than a week later
