UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, who’s recently called out WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for a match inside the Octagon, is not expected to be invited to be ringside during Lesnar’s Fatal 4-Way Match at SummerSlam.  This despite a tweet from Jones earlier this week;  when Jones was asked about being ringside, Jones tweeted, “It’s crossed my mind.”

Jones sitting ringside has the potential of taking attention away from SummerSlam’s main event:  Brock Lesnar defending the Universal Championship in a Fatal 4-Way Match against Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns, & Braun Strowman.

An added stipulation in the Fatal 4-Way is that Lesnar would leave WWE, if he loses his title.  While this may get UFC fans excited about a future Lesnar/Jones match, Lesnar would have to formally come out of retirement, re-enter the USADA drug-testing pool, AND serve the remainder of his one-year suspension.  Lesnar was handed a one-year suspension by the USADA, after failing two drug tests, after his match with Mark Hunt at UFC 200 last summer.  Lesnar officially retired from UFC this past February.
