– The WWE Great Balls of Fire Kickoff pre-show opens up from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas with Renee Young, David Otunga and Peter Rosenberg. They hype the show and send us back to Charly Caruso in the Social Media Lounge. She will be joined by Paul Heyman later tonight. Fans can submit questions with the “#AskHeyman” hashtag.
– Renee hypes some of tonight’s matches and sends us to a video package for the Ambulance Match. Rosenberg goes with Roman Reigns but Otunga believes Braun Strowman will get the rubber match win. The panel plugs the WWE Network, Battleground and tonight’s matches again. Renee sends us to a break. Back from the break and Mike Rome is with Seth Rollins backstage. Rollins says Bray Wyatt is one dangerous dude but his greatest enemy always will be the truth. Wyatt wants to play mind games but Rollins says his past year has been one big mind game. Rollins says Wyatt is not a God, he’s just a man, and by the end of tonight one man will be paying for his sins – Bray Wyatt. Rosenberg talks about the match but the graphic interrupts and we cut backstage to Wyatt. Wyatt says no matter how hard Rollins fights tonight, he will still feel Wyatt. Wyatt says he will set Rollins’ lack of faith on fire and from the ashes, make him a believer. Wyatt laughs and says Rollins is going to burn tonight. Rosenberg and Otunga both predict Wyatt to win tonight. Renee brings up tonight’s Iron Man tag team match. Otunga believes the champions will retain but Rosenberg goes with The Hardys.
– Back from another break and we get a video for tonight’s RAW Women’s Title match. We come back and Dana Brooke has joined the panel. Dana says Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss really despise each other and it goes back to their days in WWE NXT. Dana goes on but Emma appears and needs to talk to Dana in the back. Right now. Dana wraps up with the panel and is off to see what Emma has to say. Renee hypes tonight’s WWE Intercontinental Title match next. Otunga believes The Miz will retain and Rosenberg agrees. We see Charly backstage getting ready with Heyman. Back to a break. We come back to a video for Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass. Renee sends us to Charly in the Social Media Lounge with Heyman for fan questions. When asked if Joe is Lesnar’s most dangerous opponent, Heyman says there’s no doubt. He talks about how ruthless Joe is and says this is no cake walk, this won’t be a quick trip to Suplex City. Heyman says this is a fight for Lesnar’s well-being, his legacy and survival in WWE. We go back to the panel and Renee sends us to the ring.
WWE Cruiserweight Title Match: Akira Tozawa vs. Neville
Vic Joseph is on commentary with Corey Graves. Out first comes WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville. Akira Tozawa is out next with Titus Worldwide leader Titus O’Neil.
Tozawa gets a big “Ah!” chant going before they lock up. Back and forth to start. Tozawa nails a big kick to the face and a senton. Neville ends up on the apron but Tozawa kicks him to the floor. Tozawa with another “Ah!” chant. Tozawa runs the ropes for a dive but Neville meets him with a kick. Neville comes back into the ring and stomps as Titus looks on. Neville sends Tozawa to the floor and launches him into the barrier. We go to a commercial.
Back from the break and Neville drops Tozawa in the ring. Neville runs the ropes and hits a sliding kick for another 2 count. Titus tries to rally fans for Tozawa but Neville works him over. Neville talks some trash and mushes Tozawa. Tozawa fights back with chops. Tozawa keeps control but Neville ducks a kick. Tozawa with a suplex. Tozawa stands tall and is fired up now.
Tozawa goes to the top but Neville rolls out of the way to the floor. Tozawa runs the ropes and hits a suicide dive. Tozawa goes back in and nails another dive. Tozawa brings it back in for a close 2 count as Titus cheers him on. Tozawa ends up caught on Neville’s shoulders. Tozawa counters and turns that into the Octopus Stretch. Neville makes it to the rope and breaks the hold. Tozawa with another “Ah!” chant. Tozawa goes to the top but Neville gets to his feet. Tozawa rolls through. More back and forth now. Neville with a big dropkick to the chest for a 2 count. Neville with a big forearm in the corner.
Neville goes to the top but wastes some time as fans boo. Neville misses from the top and Tozawa rolls him up for 2. Tozawa keeps on and hits a Shining Wizard. Tozawa keeps control with more offense but gets crotched on the top. Neville kicks the rope and adds insult to injury. Titus isn’t happy as Neville waits for Tozawa. Neville with a kick to the gut for the pin.

– We go back to the panel for more hype on tonight’s matches and the WWE Network. Renee leads us to a video package for tonight’s WWE Universal Title match.

Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt
We go right to the ring and out comes Bray Wyatt. Seth Rollins is out next to a pop.
We see some of the international announce teams at ringside. JoJo is doing ring announcing. The bell rings and they size each other up. They lock up and trade holds. Wyatt goes down but laughs. They lock up again and Wyatt takes it to the corner. Wyatt turns up[side down in the corner. Rollins ends up going for the running knee but Wyatt goes to the apron, then to the floor. Rollins runs for a dive but Wyatt meets him with a big right hand. Wyatt comes back in and takes control. Wyatt stands tall as fans boo. Rollins sends Wyatt into the turnbuckle face first. Rollins knocks Wyatt to the apron but Wyatt catches him as he approaches. They trade shots on the apron. Wyatt launches Rollins face first into the steel steps.
Wyatt follows up and sends Rollins into the barrier. Wyatt brings it back into the ring and covers for a 2 count. More back and forth now. They go to the top for a big superplex and another 2 count by Wyatt. Wyatt keeps control and spikes Rollins on the apron for another close 2 count. Wyatt goes for the running senton but Rollins rolls out of the way. Rollins gets up first and sends Wyatt to the floor as he charges. Wyatt comes right back in but Rollins ducks a clothesline. Wyatt blocks a Falcon Arrow. Rollins counters with a knee and nails a dropkick. Rollins nails a suicide dive to the floor and gets a big pop.
Rollins brings it back into the ring and springboards in with a big right hand. Rollins with a 2 count. Rollins keeps control and hits more offense and a Slingblade for a 2 count. Rollins with elbows to the jaw. Wyatt catches a kick and goes for Sister Abigail but Rollins fights it off. Rollins with an enziguri. Wyatt with a huge clothesline. Rollins nails a Falcon Arrow for a 2 count. Rollins goes to the top but Wyatt crotches him. Wyatt drops Rollins from the top into his knee for another close 2 count.
Wyatt nails the Uranage for a 2 count. Wyatt yells at Rollins to get up and fight him. Rollins gets up and unloads with strikes in the middle of the ring. Wyatt goes for the knee and retreats to the floor. Wyatt ends up getting a cheap thumb to the eye as Rollins got careless. Wyatt runs back in and hits Sister Abigail for the win.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
– After the match, Wyatt stands tall as we go to replays. Wyatt poses on his knees as Rollins recovers and sells the eye poke. Wyatt makes his exit.
– Charly Caruso is backstage with The Hardys, who are very confident about taking back their titles tonight.

Enzo Amore vs. Big Cass
We go to the ring and out comes Enzo Amore with a babyface promo. Big Cass is out next with a new theme song.
The bell rings and Enzo charges. Cass clubs him in the back, sending him to the mat. Enzo comes back swinging but Cass takes control. Cass takes Enzo to the corner and talks some trash as he unloads. The referee warns him and fans boo.
Cass ragdolls Enzo a bit and slaps him around in the corner. Cass with a fall-away slam out of the corner and fans boo some more. Cass with a big running splash in the corner. Cass smirks and talks some more trash. Enzo fights out of the corner but Cass rocks him back into it. Cass lays Enzo on top of the turnbuckle and beats on him some more. Cass boots Enzo around as fans try to rally for him. Cass with more offense in the corner. Fans with more boos.
Cass talks some trash and motions for Enzo to bring it. Cass scoops Enzo and presses him high in the air before launching him out to the floor. Cass raises his arm and smiles as fans continue to boo him. Enzo has trouble standing back in the ring now. Cass bounces off the rope and floors him with a big boot. Cass covers for the easy win.
Winner: Big Cass
– After the match, Cass stands tall and looks down at his former partner. Cass makes his exit as Enzo is helped up to his feet.
– WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz is backstage with Maryse, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas preparing for tonight’s match.
30-Minute Iron Man Match for the RAW Tag Team Titles: The Hardys vs. Cesaro and Sheamus
We go to the ring and out comes The Hardys for the first-ever tag team Iron Man match. RAW Tag Team Champions Cesaro and Sheamus are out next to mostly boos.
The 30-minute timer appears on the screen. Fans chant “delete!” before the bell. The bell rings and Cesaro charges but ducks a clothesline as Sheamus follows right up and nails a Brogue Kick for a pin on Matt Hardy. That was very quick. Sheamus and Cesaro go up 1-0.
Jeff Hardy comes in and fights off a double team. Jeff dropkicks Cesaro for a 1 count. Sheamus tags in and takes control of Jeff as the “Brother Nero” chants start. Jeff takes Sheamus into the corner and Matt comes in for a bit of double teaming. Matt works on Sheamus and clotheslines him to the floor. Matt follows and slams Sheamus’ head into the mat as fans chant “delete!” with every slam. Matt brings it back in and goes for a Twist of Fate but Sheamus blocks it. Matt counters and drops Sheamus for a 2 count.
Jeff comes back in but ends up getting sent into the barrier by Cesaro. Matt comes over and unloads on Cesaro until Sheamus makes the save. Cesaro uppercuts Matt. Cesaro with an uppercut. Cesaro brings Jeff back in and keeps control for another pin attempt. Cesaro stops Jeff from making the tag. Cesaro nails the gutwrench slam for another 2 count. Sheamus comes in and drops Jeff for another pin attempt. Sheamus keeps Jeff grounded now. Cesaro comes back in and Jeff ends up on the floor. Matt checks on Jeff. Sheamus tags in and Jeff goes for a tag but Sheamus cuts him off. Jeff fights out of a hold but Sheamus slams him hard for a 2 count.
Cesaro tags back in and keeps control of Jeff. Fans try to rally for Jeff as he fights up. Cesaro knocks Matt off the apron with a boot. Cesaro turns around and gets backdropped by Jeff. Jeff gets to his feet but Cesaro nails a running uppercut from behind. Sheamus and Cesaro double team Jeff and Sheamus covers for another pin. Cesaro and Sheamus are up 2-0 with 20 minutes left.
Sheamus with a shoulder and a clothesline to Jeff for another 2 count. Jeff finally turns it around after Sheamus charges in the corner but Jeff moves. Sheamus lands on the floor. Jeff finally tags in Matt but Cesaro also tags in. Matt unloads as the “delete!” chants start back up. Matt slams Cesaro’s face into the turnbuckles maybe 30 times as the referee tries to pull him off. Matt with a clothesline and a running bulldog for a close 2 count. Matt with an elbow to the neck from the second rope for a 2 count. Jeff tags in for Poetry In Motion on Cesaro. Matt with a Side Effect. Jeff with a Twist of Fate on Cesaro. Jeff covers for the pin. It’s now 2-1.
Jeff keeps control of Cesaro now. Cesaro rocks Jeff and in comes Sheamus with 16 minutes left. Sheamus with a big uppercut. Jeff with a mule kick and a clothesline. Jeff with more shots in the corner for another 2 count. The Hardys keep control for a minute before Jeff leaps out and takes down both opponents. Matt ends up going face first into the ring post and landing on the floor thanks to Sheamus. Matt gets counted out. Sheamus and Cesaro are now up 3-1.
Sheamus drops Matt with a big knee in the middle of the ring. Cesaro tags in for a 2 count. Cesaro hits a suplex on Matt. More back and forth. Sheamus with forearms to Matt’s chest on the apron. Sheamus just knocks Matt back to the floor and the referee starts counting. Cesaro sends Matt to the apron and then into the barrier. Cesaro hits a running uppercut into the barrier as we pass the 10 minute mark. Cesaro brings Matt back into the ring and tags Sheamus in. They hit a double suplex and Sheamus covers for a 2 count.
Sheamus keeps Matt grounded now. Matt fights up and out, hitting the Side Effect for a 2 count. Cesaro runs in and boots Jeff off the apron. Cesaro rolls Matt up and applies the Sharpshooter. It’s broken but Sheamus gets in a cheap shot. Cesaro with a running uppercut and more uppercuts in the corner now. Jeff comes in as Matt backslides Cesaro. Jeff leg drops Cesaro in the backslide and covers for the pin. It’s now 3-2.
Jeff takes shots from Cesaro but hits a Whisper in the Wind for a close 2 count. Cesaro drops Jeff and tags Sheamus back in. They go for an assisted White Noise but Matt knocks Cesaro from the top. Jeff rolls Sheamus up for 2. Jeff with an inverted atomic drop, the leg drop and a 2 count. Sheamus catches Jeff with a kick and a big knee. Matt tags in and fights Sheamus. Sheamus scoops him for a rolling senton but Matt fights out. Matt nails a tornado DDT from the second rope at the 5 minute mark. Sheamus kicks out. Matt waits for Sheamus but Cesaro runs in and fights him. Matt takes him out. Sheamus sends Matt face first into the corner. Sheamus takes Matt to the top for a big backdrop but Matt knocks him to the mat. Matt hits a moonsault for the close pin as it’s broken up. More back and forth. Matt hits a big Twist of Fate from the top for another pin. The Hardys have tied it at 3-3.
The referee checks on Sheamus. Jeff looks to put Sheamus away but Cesaro comes over. Jeff leaps from the top and takes them both out on the floor. Jeff brings Sheamus back in and goes to the top. Matt climbs to the opposite corner. They both leap and land hard but Jeff covers Sheamus. Cesaro breaks the pin. Matt is bleeding as he tags in. Sheamus counters and rolls Matt up for a 2 count with less than 1 minute to go. Matt knocks Cesaro off the apron. Sheamus and Matt tangle and both go down. Jeff tags in and hits a Swanton Bomb on Sheamus for a pin but Sheamus wasn’t legal. Cesaro quickly covers Jeff for a pin and it’s now 4-3.
Cesaro runs around the ring and Jeff is forced to chase him. Jeff gets him back in but but can’t get the pin in time as the clock runs out.
Winners: Cesaro and Sheamus
– After the match, the champs leave with their titles as their music hits. A trainer comes in to check on Matt’s wound. We go to replays. Cesaro and Sheamus pose on the stage with their titles as The Hardys recover in the ring.

– We get a promo for tonight’s RAW Women’s Title match.
RAW Women’s Title Match: Sasha Banks vs. Alexa Bliss
We go to the ring and out first comes Sasha Banks to a pop. We see more international announce teams in the arena, including Raymond Rougeau’s return to the company on the French announce team. RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is out next. We get formal ring introductions from JoJo.
We get some trash talking before they get going at it. They lock up and Bliss takes it to the corner. Bliss drops Sasha with a shoulder after they run the ropes. They run them again and Sasha nails a dropkick, sending Bliss out for a breather. Bliss comes back in and Sasha takes her down out of the corner for a 2 count. Bliss begs Sasha to back off. Bliss, who is double-jointed, fakes an arm injury and suckers Sasha in to drop her.
Sasha comes back and goes for a Banks Statement but Bliss scrambles to the floor for another breather. Bliss yells about not needing this and being the champ. She looks to walk away but Sasha stops her. Bliss ends up pulling Sasha off the apron and she lands hard on the floor. The referee checks on her. Bliss stomps away on the floor. Bliss brings it back into the ring for a 2 count. Bliss with more offense and a pin attempt. Bliss keeps Sasha grounded now. Sasha gets to her feet and fights back but Bliss drops her into her knee. Bliss mounts Sasha with strikes and makes another pin attempt, and another. Sasha blocks off a suplex attempt. Sasha keeps on and suplexes Bliss into the corner.
They get up at the same time and trade shots in the middle of the ring. Bliss runs into double boots int he corner. Sasha with more offense now. Sasha catches a kick and delivers one of her own. Sasha with a belly-to-back suplex. Sasha with a running knee for another 2 count. Sasha runs into elbows in the corner. Bliss with another big move out of the corner for a 2 count. Bliss isn’t happy at the kick out. Bliss goes to the top and hits a moonsault but Sasha turns her into the Banks Statement. Bliss makes it to the bottom rope and breaks the hold but Sasha keeps it locked and takes advantage of the 5 count.
Bliss goes back to the floor and drops Sasha. Bliss talks some trash before launching Sasha into the barrier. More back and forth. Bliss fights with strikes from the floor while Sasha is in the ring. Bliss gets herself counted out and retains.
Winner by Count Out: Sasha Banks
– After the match, Bliss leaves with her title as Sasha looks on. Sasha leaves the ring and runs up the ramp to attack Bliss, sending her into the LED screen. Bliss fights back and brings Sasha over to the announce table. Bliss goes to do a move through the announce table but Sasha pushes her off the table to the floor below the stage. Sasha jumps from the announce table to Bliss with double knees. Banks stands tall and stomps on Bliss as her music hits. We go to replays. Banks stands on top of the announce table and motions for the title around her waist as we go to another break.
– The announcers talk Battleground and AJ Styles winning the WWE United States Title from Kevin Owens at the Madison Square Garden live event on Friday night.
– We see highlights from WWE Cruiserweight Champion Neville retaining over Akira Tozawa on the pre-show. Tozawa is backstage with Titus O’Neil and he’s not happy. Tozawa says Titus represents him and needs to make things right. Tozawa wants a rematch. Titus says he will work on it. He tells Tozawa to go to the trainer’s room and get some ice.
WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz
We go to the ring and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz with Maryse, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel.
The bell rings and Ambrose goes to the floor to take out Dallas and Axel. Ambrose and Miz finally go at it with Miz taking control. Miz stomps away. Miz keeps Ambrose grounded now. Ambrose fights up and counters a knee with a roll-up for 2. Miz drops Ambrose on his face for a 2 count. Miz keeps control and takes his time with Ambrose while he’s down. Miz with kicks while Ambrose is on his knees. Miz runs the ropes for a kick but Ambrose ducks and rolls him up for 2. Miz with the running clothesline in the corner.
Ambrose finally gets some offense in and drops Miz. Ambrose runs the ropes with offense and then takes Miz to the top. Ambrose with a super double underhook from the top for a 2 count. Miz counters a suplex but Ambrose turns it back around. Miz takes the knee out. Miz turns Ambrose upside down in the corner and hits a running dropkick to the knee, and another. Ambrose comes back with a big clothesline. Ambrose is bleeding from the mouth now. Miz goes for the Figure Four and gets it locked in the middle of the ring.
Miz keeps control as Ambrose continues to sell the knee injury. Miz with the “yes!” kicks now. Ambrose counters and gets up, telling Miz to bring it. Ambrose ends up hitting the top rope elbow drop but Miz kicks out at 2. Ambrose counters a Skull Crushing Finale as Maryse distracts the referee on the apron. Dallas and Axel get Ambrose on the floor but Ambrose fights them off and drops Miz when he runs over. Ambrose goes to the top and leaps out, taking down all three on the floor. The referee counts now. Ambrose counters another Skull Crushing Finale in the ring and hits Dirty Deeds for a 2 count as Maryse makes the save. The referee did not see it. Maryse pulls Miz to safety now.
Ambrose runs the ropes for a dive and sends Miz into the announce table. Ambrose brings Miz back into the ring but Axel gets on the apron. Ambrose brings him into the ring. Ambrose hits an elbow on Miz. Dallas gets on the apron and nails Ambrose with a cheap shot while the referee is distracted. Miz takes advantage and hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Ambrose for the win.
Winner: The Miz
– After the match, Miz is helped to his feet before celebrating with Maryse, Dallas and Axel. Miz makes his exit.
– We get a video package for tonight’s Ambulance Match.
Ambulance Match: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
The ambulance backs up to the side of the stage before Braun Strowman makes his way out as JoJo goes over the rules. The boos start up before Roman Reigns’ music hits and out he comes to a mixed reaction.
The bell rings and Reigns strikes first. Braun pushes him back. Reigns unloads and charges but Braun drops him with ease. Braun sends Reigns into the corner and splashes him. Braun with another running splash, sending Reigns to the mat. Braun takes his time and stands over Reigns now. We get dueling chants for Reigns. Braun clubs Reigns to the mat.
They go to the floor and Reigns sends Braun into the ring post and he goes down. Braun sends Reigns into the post now. Braun sends Reigns into the steel steps next. Braun takes the steps apart and waits for Reigns to get up. Braun charges and drops Reigns with a steps shot to the face. Braun continues the attack and charges again but Reigns moves and Braun hits the ring post with the steps. Reigns goes back into the ring and kicks Braun as he comes in. Reigns with a big right hand and more kicks. Reigns with a clothesline to stun Braun. Another clothesline by Reigns. Reigns ducks a clothesline but Braun catches him and slams him on his face. Braun scoops Reigns for a running powerslam but it’s blocked. Reigns nails him and goes for a spear but Braun boots him. Braun with a powerslam. Braun goes for a pin but forgets the rules for a second. Braun stands tall and raises his arms for a pop.
Braun scoops Reigns and carries him up the ramp now. Reigns slides out and goes back into the ring as fans boo. Braun goes back to the ring as Reigns struggles to stand. Reigns ends up going for a Samoan Drop and struggles but hits it. Braun kicks Reigns back. Braun charges in the corner but Reigns moves and he hits the ring post shoulder first. Reigns goes to the floor and hits a Drive By to the injured elbow. Reigns with another shot to the surgically-repaired arm. Reigns focuses on the arm now. Reigns goes under the ring and grabs a steel chair. Reigns with a chair shot to the elbow, and another. Braun rolls to the floor at Reigns’ feet. Reigns with a chair shot to the back but Braun just takes it and stalks Reigns. Reigns with another chair shot but it does nothing. Reigns can’t believe it. Braun takes another chair shot but yanks the chair from Reigns and sends him into the barrier twice.
Braun brings Reigns to the stage and sends him into one of the LED screens. Braun comes over and kicks the announcer chairs off the stage, bullying them to get up and out of the way. Braun clears the table and goes back over to Reigns and grabs him for a powerbomb. Braun scoops Reigns onto his shoulders but Reigns slides out and rocks him. Reigns stuns Braun again but Bran grabs him and tosses him from the stage to the side of the ambulance. Reigns lands hard on the floor. Braun opens the ambulance doors and goes back to Reigns. Braun looks to put Reigns in the back but Reigns sends Braun’s face into the door. Fans boo as Reigns has control now. Braun scoops Reigns and tries to put him in the back but Reigns hangs on and fights out.
Reigns with a Superman punch, knocking Braun half-way into the ambulance. Braun fights Reigns off and boots him. Reigns with another Superman punch. Reigns tries to push Braun in the ambulance but Braun fights out and nails a shot to the eye. Braun brings a backboard from the ambulance and cracks Reigns over the back with it. Braun uses it to smack Reigns in the back again. Braun yanks the stretcher out of the ambulance and kicks it to the side. Braun launches Reigns up onto the stage now. Braun charges but Reigns moves and Braun crashes into the LED board. Braun scoops Reigns for a powerslam but Reigns slides out and shoves Braun into the LED board again. This time Braun crashes through the panel and goes down. The referee checks on him as we get a replay.
Reigns and Braun are both down on the stage now. Braun moves first. Reigns is on his knees as Braun struggles to recover. Reigns pulls Braun over to the edge of the stage. Braun shoves Reigns off the stage, just missing the corner of the ambulance door. Braun crawls and struggles to stand near the back of the ambulance. Braun gets up but Reigns nails him with a lighting rig near the stage. Reigns charges with a spear but Braun moves and Reigns spears himself into the back of the ambulance. Braun shuts the ambulance doors and gets the win.
Winner: Braun Strowman
– After the bell, Braun stands tall as his music hits. Braun turns around to Reigns spearing him out of the back of the ambulance. Reigns slams the ambulance doors into Braun several times. Reigns pushes Braun in the back of the ambulance and shuts the doors. Reigns climbs into the driver’s seat and drives into the backstage area. Reigns stops in the back and just looks in the mirror. Reigns throws it in reverse and backs the ambulance into an 18-wheeler production truck. Reigns stumbles out of the ambulance. The back of the ambulance is wrecked. We see RAW General Manager Kurt Angle telling people to call 911. Angle is yelling to Braun to see if he’s alright. Jamie Noble tries to open a side door with a crowbar but has no luck. Braun remains trapped in the ambulance.
Curt Hawkins vs. Heath Slater
We go to the ring for an impromptu match as the rescue mission for Braun continues. Curt Hawkins is out first followed by Heath Slater.
Back and forth to start the match. Hawkins takes control and keeps Slater grounded. We hear sirens in the back. Fans stand and look to the big screen to see what’s happening, not paying attention to the match. We see Angle backstage, directing the Dallas Fire Department into the backstage area to help with the rescue.
The cameras cut backstage as the Jaws of Life are used to open the ambulance. We hear the bell ring and hear JoJo announce Slater as the winner.
Winner: Heath Slater
– Dallas Fire & Rescue use the Jaws of Life to open the side door of the ambulance. Noble yells for Braun to hang on. Graves and Cole play up the seriousness of the situation. The door is finally opened and they bring a stretcher over. Braun doesn’t want the help it appears. Angle and Noble tell him to take the help. Braun stumbles out of the ambulance door and falls but gets to his feet, falling again. He’s busted open and bleeding from several places. Braun pushes away the help and keeps trying to walk but keeps falling. Braun smears blood on the side of someone’s tour bus and manages to walk away on is own, telling everyone to leave him alone. Angle looks stunned. We go back to the announcers, who have never seen anything like this before. We get a replay of Reigns backing the ambulance into the semi-trailer and a replay of Braun walking away after Jaws of Life were used to free him. Cole believes Angle will somehow get Braun medical attention tonight. Cole calls Braun surviving a miracle.
– We get a video package for tonight’s main event.
WWE Universal Title Match: Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar
Samoa Joe is out first for the main event. Fans chant Joe’s name as we wait for the champion’s music to hit. The music finally hits and out comes WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman. We get formal ring introductions from JoJo.
Heyman goes his own grand intro for Lesnar, calling him the Samoan Eating Machine. Before Heyman can finish, Joe attacks Heyman from behind and takes him outside, launching him into the barrier. Joe drives Lesnar through an announce table for a huge pop.
Lesnar regroups but is slow to get back into the ring. Joe waits. Lesnar pulls himself into the ring as Heyman talks him up. Lesnar stands up and smiles. We get the bell. Joe charges and flattens Lesnar in the corner, then drops him with a kick. Joe with headbutts. Lesnar gets up but Joe is all over him. Lesnar fires back with knees of his own. Joe takes Lesnar to the corner and works him over. Joe with more offense and a Coquina Clutch attempt as they’re standing. Lesnar fights it off and hits German suplex #1.
Lesnar with another trip to Suplex City. Lesnar hits a third suplex as Heyman looks on. Lesnar gets up and yells to a pop. Joe ends up nailing a low blow that the referee couldn’t see due to how Joe was holding him. Lesnar goes down. Joe with the Uranage for a 2 count. Joe goes for the Coquina Clutch again but can’t get it locked. Lesnar finally breaks it with a side slam. Lesnar comes back with two more German suplexes, and another for #6.
Lesnar goes for the F5 but Joe counters and goes for the Coquina Clutch. Lesnar resists as Joe tries to take them to the mat. Joe gets Lesnar down to one knee as Heyman goes nuts at ringside. Lesnar powers up and hits the F5 for the win.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
– After the match, Heyman hits the ring and Lesnar clutches his throat before getting up. Joe is down trying to recover. We go to replays. Lesnar smiles as he makes his exit with Heyman and the title. Joe is up to his feet in the ring. Lesnar looks back at the ring as Great Balls of Fire goes off the air.
