Ferdinand Movie Trailer Stars John Cena
The début trailer for the upcoming animated movie, “Ferdinand” was released yesterday from Blue Sky Studios. The film is based on the classic children’s book “The Story of Ferdinand,” about a bull with a big heart who would rather smell flowers than engage in bullfights.
John Cena lends his voice to the titular character and joins a talented cast that includes David Tennant and Kate McKinnon. Ferdinand is scheduled for a December 15th release date, which is the same day that Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes out and will serve as great counter programming.
Thoughts on the Trailer: I liked it. I liked it a lot. This is coming from someone who never knew of Ferdinand’s story until the trailer appeared in my inbox. Movies such as Ice Age and The Peanuts Movie are some of the franchises under the umbrella of Blue Sky Studios.
While it’s just a trailer and not the full movie, color me impressed with the animation and John Cena’s voice acting as it exuded a lovable bull with a big heart. If everything goes according to plan, Ferdinand could be a breakout hit for Blue Sky and John Cena. Make sure to check out the trailer below.
