WWE Statement on Paige’s Latest WWE Wellness Policy Suspension

As was originally reported Monday morning, WWE Superstar Paige has been suspended due to a WWE Wellness Policy violation. This being her second violation, the former Diva’s Champion is now out of action for 60-days. Her father and brothers came to her defense, claiming Paige was prescribed painkillers to deal with a recurring neck injury.

Paige wrote on Twitter, “Same shit different day. Kids..Please don’t get prescriptions or doctors notes. Not acceptable.” and, “Rules apply depending on your status.”

WWE has fired back at the claims in a statement to The New York Post, saying Paige tested positive for an illegal substance. They said:

“Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug. In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury.”
