Following Goldberg’s appearance on ESPN SportsCenter on Wednesday and his pick of Brock Lesnar as a match he’d like to have if he returns, the advocate for the mayor of Suplex City, Paul Heyman, replied to Goldberg’s comments on social media. “I would be remiss in saying I don’t owe Brock Lesnar a rematch. I was able to prosper and have my hand raised at the first meeting, and I think if I ever came back, that’d be the match,” Goldberg told Jonathan Coachman on Wednesday night. Heyman replied on Twitter last night, respectfully suggesting to Goldberg not to confuse the fantasy of WWE 2K17 with “the reality that is Brock Lesnar.” The word going around is that a match between the two is set for the Survivor Series next month to coincide with the hype of the video game.
