Update on Ryback Talking with Bellator MMA, Which Role WWE Originally Wanted Drew Gulak In
– As seen last night on RAW, Drew Gulak made his WWE main roster debut in a tag team match with Lince Dorado against Rich Swann and Cedric Alexander. There’s no word yet as to whether or not Gulak has signed with WWE. According to Dave Meltzer and the Wrestling Observer, WWE was originally interested in hiring Drew Gulak as a Performance Center Coach. Gulak really impressed people with his Cruiserweight Classic work but officials didn’t think he could be a wrestler for WWE. Last night’s RAW appearance indicates he may have been hired as an in-ring talent.
– We reported yesterday that former WWE Superstar Ryback appeared on a Las Vegas radio show and revealed that he’s in talks with the Bellator MMA promotion for a potential future fight.
Bellator CEO Scott Coker confirmed via F4Wonline.com that they’ve spoken but there’s nothing close to a deal in the works. He noted that it will come down to money, rather than the desire to fight, as was the case with CM Punk and UFC.
