Chyna’s memorial held in front of 500 people
Around 500 fans, friends, and family members attended yesterday’s Joanie “Chyna” Laurer memorial held at Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram. Chyna’s ashes were present in a black urn, with her logo displayed and decorated with bright jewelry, and her former manager Anthony Anzaldo said they will be spread in the ocean off Redondo Beach this morning. Laurer, 46, was found dead on April 20 inside her apartment by Anzaldo. The official cause of death remains under investigation but Anzaldo previous said she died from an overdose of a cocktail of Ambien and Valium. Rob Van Dam, Sean Waltman and other celebrities attended the memorial which also included performances by hip-hop artist Coolio. Dennis Hoff, the owner of Nevada’s popular Bunny Ranch, was also present. “Tonight we’re not going to use the F word – funeral,” Anzaldo said. “It’s friends, family and fans.”
