Host Jack E. Jones welcomed former Diana Hart Smith to IYH Wrestling Radio. Diana is the youngest daughter of Stu Hart and is the former wife of the late Davey Boy Smith (The British Bulldog).
Highlights included the following:
· Everyone is familiar with the Hart brothers in wrestling. Did you or any of your sisters want to be a wrestler?
“Oh yeah, I did. I don’t know any of the other daughters’ minds…I was a good amateur wrestler, but my mom was very worried about me getting too much of a casework, especially then…it wasn’t really something that we were ever supposed to consider in our family. The boys were the ones that were doing the wrestling. But I liked it; I used to wrestle with Owen and Ross in particular. We usually were fighting for real over something like what channel we were going to watch…we would get into some pretty heavy duty fights under the dining room table. I think I became good because of that.”
· What was it like to be a part of the Canadian Stampede Pay-Per-View (In Your Head 16) in 1997?
“Oh, it was just phenomenal; it was just extraordinary. It was so crazy that night; the fans were so hyped up and I was very emotional. What I kept thinking was ‘Who would have ever imagined that this would happen?’…The (Calgary) Saddledome is sold out, not a single seat left in the house; if you had said that five years ago before that happened that this was going to happen…I would have said that would be nice but that would never happen. I was thinking about it when I came out the curtain with Davey; I just sort of looked and said ‘This is just amazing’. It was unforgettable…everybody there was cheering for the Harts, and I’m so glad that my mom and dad were there…the fans by all the cheering were showing their affection for our family…I was so glad to see my mom and dad sitting there watching this.”

In addition, that night along with her son, Harry, she will be accepting for her late husband, Davey, as he is inducted into the New England Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame.
