The WWE TLC Kickoff Show kicks off with a shot inside the arena, and then Josh Mathews welcomes us to the show. He is joined by Mick Foley, Booker T, and The Miz on the Expert Panel. Foley says he loves every match tonight, but everyone is here for the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match in the main event. Booker runs down the Tale of the Tape for John Cena and Randy Orton. All three men agree that only having one World Champion is what is best for business. Mathews talks about the contest on the Kickoff Show, which features Dolph Ziggler going one-on-one with Fandango. Miz says Ziggler will win, while Booker goes with Fandango.
We go to the social media lounge and see Renee Young. The first poll of the evening asks what would hurt the most: falling off of a ladder, falling through a table, or getting hit with a steel chair. We go back to the Panel, and Foley says all three things hurt. We then see footage of the ongoing feud between Daniel Bryan and The Wyatt Family. We also see footage of the ongoing feud between CM Punk and The Shield. The Expert Panel talk about both on the 3-on-1 Handicap matches tonight.
The Expert Panel is interrupted by The Shield. Dean Ambrose says everyone knows exactly what they are going to do to CM Punk, which is beat him to a pulp. Seth Rollins says Punk can’t divide The Shield, and he won’t conquer them. Roman Reigns calls Punk a liar and says he has no chance tonight. Reigns says there is a Spear waiting on Punk tonight. Ambrose says the only thing Punk will believe in tonight is The Shield.
Kofi Kingston gets on the set of the Kickoff Show and begins brawling with The Miz. Booker T and Mick Foley break them up as we head to ringside and join John Bradshaw Layfield, Michael Cole, and Jerry Lawler.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Fandango (w/Summer Rae)
Ziggler sends Fandango off the ropes, but Fandango comes back with a shoulder block. Ziggler comes back with a dropkick and then comes off the ropes, but Fandango elevates Ziggler over the top rope and to the floor as we head to a “commercial.”
We’re back and Fandango has Ziggler in a headlock. Ziggler powers out and slams Fandango down to the mat. Ziggler gets Fandango in the corner and delivers a series of right hands. Ziggler drops Fandango with a clothesline and goes for the cover, but Fandango kicks out at two. Fandango comes back with a roll-up, but Ziggler kicks out at two. Ziggler delivers the Fameasser, but Fandango kicks out at two. Fandango comes back and slams Ziggler down to the mat and then goes up top. Ziggler knocks Fandango down onto the turnbuckle, but Summer distracts Ziggler. Fandango shoves Ziggler down to the mat and delivers the top-rope leg-drop and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Fandango.
We go backstage to the Social Media Lounge, and she reads some tweets from members of the WWE Universe on their predictions for the Unification Match tonight. We go back to the Superstar Panel, minus The Miz, and they talk about the match between Dolph Ziggler and Fandango. We then see the video hype package for the history of both the WWE and World titles and for the feud between John Cena and Randy Orton.
We see Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Vince McMahon arriving backstage as the Kickoff Show comes to a close.
Triple H’s music hits, and he and Stephanie McMahon make their way to the stage. Stephanie says each and every one of us are a part of history as we will witness the biggest match in the history of the WWE. The crowd attempts to drown her out with “YES!” chants, but she goes along with it. Triple H talks about the match in 1963 between Buddy Rogers and Lou Thesz. He mentions Harley Race, Bruno Sammartino, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. He says tonight, two great Championships become one, and only one man will walk out as the Champion of Champions. Stephanie asks if it will be Randy Orton or John Cena, and the crowd boos both men’s names. She says we will crown the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
We then see the video hype package for the pay-per-view.
We go live into the arena, where John Bradshaw Layfield, Michael Cole, and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. We go to the ring for our opening contest.
3-on-1 Handicap Match: CM Punk vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins)
Ambrose starts the match for The Shield. They tie up, but Ambrose gets away and goes to his corner. They tie up again, and Ambrose tries to take Punk to the corner, but Punk shoves him away and then takes him down to the mat. Ambrose tags Rollins into the match. Punk rolls to the outside to take a breather. Rollins goes out after him, but Punk rolls back into the ring. Rollins gets back into the ring and goes for a clothesline, but Punk ducks underneath and kicks him in the hamstring. Punk takes Rollins to the corner and then delivers a neck-breaker. Punk follows it up for two more neck-breakers and then goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Rollins gets to his feet and tries to back Punk into his corner, but Punk doesn’t let him. Rollins gets free and tags in Reigns. Reigns overpowers Punk and tosses him into The Shield’s corner. Reigns beats Punk down in the corner. Reigns pulls Punk out of the corner and delivers a series of right hands and then tags in Rollins. Rollins stomps away on Punk and then delivers a neck-breaker. Rollins tags in Ambrose. Ambrose goes for the cover, but Punk kicks out at two. Ambrose slams Punk into the corner and tags in Reigns. Reigns kicks Punk in the midsection, but Punk slaps Reigns across the face. Reigns slams Punk down to the mat and then tosses him to the outside and down to the floor. Reigns charges at Punk by the announce table, but Punk moves and sends Reigns flying over the table and the doctor at ringside checks on Reigns. The referee begins to count Reigns out. Reigns gets back into the ring at the seven count, and Punk begins the beat down on Reigns and goes to work on his injured eye. Reigns comes back and tosses Punk to the outside as we see his eye begin to swell shut. Reigns tags in Rollins and rolls to the outside. Rollins grabs Punk and tosses him back into the ring. Punk goes for the GTS on Rollins, but Ambrose distracts Punk. Reigns attacks Punk from behind and Rollins goes for the cover on Punk, but Punk kicks out at two. The doctor checks on Reigns on the outside again as Punk knocks Ambrose off the apron. Punk kicks Rollins in the head and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Punk takes Rollins down with a heel-kick and a series of clotheslines. Punk drops Rollins with a swinging neck-breaker. Punk drops Rollins again with a running knee and then goes up top. Punk delivers the elbow drop and goes for the cover, but Rollins kicks out at two. Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice, but Ambrose breaks it up. Ambrose tags in. Ambrose sets Punk on the top rope, but Punk counters with a headbutt that sends Ambrose down to the mat. Punk delivers the elbow drop to Ambrose and knocks Rollins off the apron. Punk goes for the cover, but Ambrose kicks out at two. Punk delivers the GTS to Rollins and goes for one on Ambrose, but Ambrose fights out. Ambrose pushes Punk towards Reigns, who goes for the Spear. Punk moves and Reigns spears Ambrose. Punk gets rid of Reigns and pins Ambrose for the victory.
Winner: CM Punk.
We go backstage and see Renee Young, who is getting ready to interview AJ Lee. Young asks AJ what her level of concern heading into the match is. AJ says she always wins when it counts. She says nobody has her number and she is the only woman who actually matters. She says she has been the Champion for 182 days, but that’s not good enough to win Diva of the Year. She says Natalya, the WWE Universe, Total Divas, and the Slammys are all jokes.
WWE Divas Championship Match: AJ Lee (c) (w/Tamina Snuka) vs. Natalya
Natalya goes for a quick roll-up, but AJ slips out. AJ kicks Natalya in the midsection, but Natalya counters with a suplex. Natalya goes for the cover, but AJ kicks out at one. Natalya flips AJ down to the mat and applies a modified arm-bar. Natalya delivers a dropkick to AJ’s back and AJ rolls out of the ring. Natalya goes out after her, but Tamina gets in the way. AJ goes after Natalya, but Natalya slams her into the barricade. Tamina gets Natalya’s attention again, but AJ takes Natalya down with a baseball slide dropkick. Back in the ring, AJ goes for the cover, but Natalya kicks out at two. AJ continues to work over Natalya and goes for another cover, but Natalya kicks out at two. AJ goes for the Black Widow, but Natalya backs her into the corner to break the hold. AJ counters and slams Natalya down to the mat and sends her to the middle of the ring. AJ tosses Natalya to the corner and charges, but Natalya moves out of the way. AJ grabs Natalya and locks in the Black Widow. Natalya rolls through and dropkicks AJ in the face. Natalya delivers a series of suplexes and then goes for the Sharpshooter. She locks it in, but AJ reverses and gets free. AJ locks in the Black Widow after Tamina distracts Natalya. Natalya gets free and drops AJ with a clothesline. Natalya goes for the Sharpshooter again, but AJ rolls her up and gets the pin fall.
Winner and still WWE Divas Champion: AJ Lee.
We join the announcers at ringside, and they hype up the Title Unification Match between John Cena and Randy Orton. We then see a video package highlighting some of the great Champions throughout WWE history.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Big E Langston (c) vs. Damien Sandow
Before the match, Sandow cuts a promo. He says the words “y’all,” “reckon,” and “yee” followed by “haw”, as well as “Big E Langston” followed by “Intercontinental Champion” are garbage. He says he will change that when he becomes the Champion, and ends it with “You’re welcome!”
Langston tosses Sandow down to the mat and then backs him into the corner. Langston delivers a series of right hands and then sends Sandow to the mat with a back-body drop. Langston tries to toss Sandow into the corner, but Sandow rolls to the outside instead. Langston goes out after Sandow, but Sandow sends him into the ring post. Sandow tosses Langston back into the ring and goes for the cover, but Langston kicks out at two. Sandow continues the beat down and then applies a headlock down on the mat. Langston gets to his feet, but Sandow keeps the momentum and drops him with a clothesline. Sandow goes for the cover, but Langston kicks out at two. Sandow delivers the Cobito Aquiet and goes for the cover again, but Langston kicks out again. Langston backs Sandow into the corner and then charges, but Sandow counters with a dropkick. Sandow goes for the cover, but Langston kicks out at two. Sandow beats down Langston in the corner. Langston counters and takes Sandow down with an electric chair back-drop. Langston takes Sandow down with a belly-to-belly slam and goes for the cover, but Sandow kicks out at two. Langston goes to slam Sandow down, but Sandow counters with a neck-breaker. Sandow goes for the cover, but Langston kicks out at two. Langston goes for the Big Ending, but Sandow counters with a roll-up for a two count. Langston slams Sandow to the mat and then drops the straps. Langston plants Sandow with the Big Ending and gets the pin fall.

We see Randy Orton gearing up backstage when Vince McMahon walks up to him. We can’t hear what they say to each other, but they share a nod and a handshake and Vince walks away.
We go to the Superstar Panel with Josh Mathews, Mick Foley, and Booker T. They talk about what happened on the pre-show between The Miz and Kofi Kingston, which is why The Miz isn’t with them right now. Booker says Miz vs. Kingston will happen in just a little while, and Foley says it will be a No Disqualification Match.
WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match: Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Curtis Axel and Ryback vs. The Big Show and Rey Mysterio vs. The Real Americans (Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger) (w/Zeb Colter)
Ryback and Rhodes start the match. Ryback powers Rhodes down to the mat, but Rhodes comes back with an uppercut. Ryback sends Rhodes to the corner, but Rhodes fights out and delivers a dropkick to Ryback. Rhodes tags in Goldust, who goes to work on Ryback. Ryback gets away and tags in Axel, who delivers a beautiful dropkick to Goldust. Axel runs the ropes, but Goldust takes him down with a dropkick of his own. Goldust drops a knee across Axel’s chest. Show makes a blind tag on Goldust and comes into the ring and slams Axel down to the mat. Show chops Axel’s chest and the crowd chants “One More Time!” Show chops Axel again and the crowd chants it again. Show chops Axel again, and Axel falls to the mat. Show tags in Mysterio, who kicks Axel in the midsection. Axel comes back and slams Mysterio down to the mat and then tags in Ryback. Ryback slams Mysterio down and goes for the cover, but Mysterio kicks out at two. Ryback slams Mysterio into the corner and tags in Axel. Axel and Mysterio run the rops and both go for a cross-body at the same time. They collide and both men are down in the ring. Axel gets to his feet and tags in Ryback. Goldust tags in and drops Ryback with a clothesline. Goldust drops Ryback with a spine-buster, but Ryback comes back and kicks Goldust down to the mat. Ryback goes for a powerbomb, but Goldust reverses and rolls up Ryback and gets the pin fall.
Ryback and Curtis Axel have been eliminated.
Cesaro gets into the ring and beats down Goldust as the crowd chants “We the People!” Cesaro tags in Swagger, who applies a headlock to Goldust. Swagger backs Goldust into the corner and tags in Cesaro. On the outside, Swagger delivers a clothesline to Goldust. Back in the ring, Swagger tags in Cesaro. Cesaro slams Goldust down to the mat and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two. Goldust fights back, but Cesaro delivers a headbutt. Cesaro tags in Swagger, who chokes Goldust over the middle rope. Swagger applies a bear-hug in the middle of the ring, but Goldust fights his way out. Goldust gets a roll-up on Swagger, but Swagger kicks out at two. Goldust takes Swagger down with a springboard back elbow. Cesaro tags in and gets Goldust in the Cesaro Swing. Swagger tags in and slams Goldust to the mat, but Rhodes breaks up the pin attempt. Cesaro tags back in and delivers a headbutt and goes for the cover, but Goldust kicks out at two. Cesaro locks in a headlock, but Goldust counters and slams Cesaro down to the mat. Goldust sends Swagger to the outside and goes for the tag on Rhodes, but Swagger pulls Rhodes off the ropes. Show slams Swagger over the barricade on the outside as Rhodes grabs his knee. Cesaro knocks Mysterio off the apron, but Goldust plants him. Goldust tags in Show. Show slams Cesaro down to the mat and splashes him in the corner. Show takes Cesaro down with a shoulder block and goes for the Chokeslam. Show delivers a KO Punch to both Cesaro and Swagger. Show pins Cesaro for the elimination.
The Real Americans have been eliminated.
Show helps Goldust to his feet and makes sure he is okay before restarting the match. Show sends Goldust to the outside and Rhodes checks on him. Goldust sends him away and Show gets Goldust back into the ring. Goldust counters and delivers a cross-body to Show from the top rope. Goldust goes for the cover, but Show kicks out at two. Goldust finally tags in Rhodes. Rhodes and Goldust deliver a double-DDT to Show. Rhodes goes for the cover, but Show kicks out at two. Rhodes goes for the Disaster Kick, but Show knocks him out in mid-air. Show tags in Mysterio. Mysterio takes Rhodes down and then kicks him in the head. Mysterio goes for the cover, but Rhodes kicks out at two. Rhodes comes back and delivers the Disaster Kick and goes for the cover, but Mysterio kicks out at two. Rhodes goes for Cross Rhodes, but Mysterio sends him into the ropes. Goldust goes after Mysterio, but Mysterio counters and delivers the 6-1-9 to Goldust. Show slams Goldust into the barricade. Rhodes comes off the top rope, but Mysterio counters with a powerbomb. Mysterio goes for the cover, but Rhodes kicks out at two as the crowd chants “This is Awesome!”
Rhodes goes for Cross Rhodes, but Mysterio sends him into the ropes. Mysterio goes for the 6-1-9, but Rhodes counters and goes for the Alabama Slam. Mysterio rolls through and goes for a roll-up, but Rhodes counters. Rhodes delivers the Cross Rhodes to Mysterio and gets the pin fall.
Rey Mysterio and The Big Show have been eliminated.
Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: Cody Rhodes and Goldust.
After the match, all four men shake hands before Mysterio and Show leave the ring.
We see The Prime Time Players backstage. Darren Young says he spoke to The Rock yesterday, and he pulls out a Rock Brawlin’ Buddy. Titus O’Neil pulls out a John Cena Brawlin’ Buddy. The Great Khali walks up and asks for a Triple Threat Match. He has a Sheamus Brawlin’ Buddy, and then Los Matadores walk in with a Brodus Clay Brawlin’ Buddy. Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero walk in and take the Clay and Cena Brawlin’ Buddies. They fight with them, and Kane’s music hits. He stars at them and they run away. He picks up the Cena and Clay Brawlin’ Buddies and then destroys the Cena one with the Clay one.
Brocus Clay (w/Tensai and The Funkadactyls) vs. R-Truth (w/Xavier Woods)
Truth delivers a series of right hands and sends Clay into the corner. Truth continues to work over Clay and delivers a scissors-kick to the back of Clay’s head. Truth goes for the cover, but Clay kicks out at two. Truth sends Clay to the outside to continue the beat down, and then tosses him back into the ring. Truth goes up top, but Clay knocks him down onto the turnbuckle. Clay splashes down onto Truth from the corner and then drags him to the center of the ring. Clay goes for the cover, but Truth kicks out at two. Clay splashes down onto Truth again and then delivers a right hand. Clay stands on Truth’s chest and then delivers a belly-to-belly suplex. Clay continues to dominate the match as Tensai yells at Clay to end it. Tensai leaves the ring and the Funkadactyls go with him, which causes Clay to get distracted and Truth rolls him up from behind for the pin fall.
Winner: R-Truth.
We go backstage and we see John Cena gearing up backstage. Vince McMahon walks up and wishes him luck. They shake hands and Vince McMahon walks away.
No Disqualification Match: Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz
Kingston and Miz brawl to the outside. Miz backs Kingston into the ring apron. Kingston comes back and slams Miz into the barricade. Back into the ring now, and Kingston is in control. Miz counters and take out Kingston’s knee. Miz works over Kingston’s knee and exposes a turnbuckle. Miz counters the Trouble in Paradise and locks in the Figure Four. Kingston almost taps, but he fights out and gets control of the match. Kingston sends Miz into the exposed turnbuckle and then delivers the Trouble in Paradise and gets the pin fall.
Winner: Kofi Kingston.
We see a video preview for the Tribute to the Troops show, which will air on NBC on December 28th.
3-on-1 Handicap Match: Daniel Bryan vs. The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Luke Harper)
Rowan starts the match out for the Wyatt Family. Rowan takes Bryan down with a back-elbow. Wyatt sits at ringside in his rocking chair as Rowan tags in Harper. Harper slams Bryan down to the mat, but Bryan comes back and takes Harper down himself. Bryan delivers a series of kicks to Harper, but Harper comes back with a big clothesline. Harper sends Bryan to the corner and tags in Rowan. Rowan chokes Bryan with his boot in the corner. Rowan picks Bryan up and slams him down to the mat. Rowan slams Bryan a second time and then applies a bear-hug. Rowan shoves Bryan away and then slams him into the mat. Rowan goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Rowan tags in Harper and Harper delivers a sit-out slam to Bryan. Harper goes for a cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Wyatt gets to his feet and gets on the ring apron. Harper tags Wyatt in and Wyatt tells Bryan that they could have been friends and that he could have helped him. Wyatt smashes Bryan in the corner and then delivers a series of right hands and knees. Wyatt delivers a suplex to Bryan that sends Bryan all the way across the ring. Wyatt bends upside down and walks on his hands, and then tags in Harper. The crowd chants “That was Creepy!” as Harper gets Bryan in the Gator Roll. Harper delivers an uppercut and tags in Rowan. Rowan takes Bryan down with a fall-away slam. Rowan tags in Harper, who kicks Bryan in the head. Harper tags in Wyatt. Wyatt tells Bryan to take his hand and he will “take this away.” Bryan fights back and charges at Wyatt, but Wyatt takes him down with a huge elbow shot. Wyatt tags in Harper, who delivers a huge powerbomb to Bryan. Harper goes for the cover, but Bryan kicks out at two. Harper charges at Bryan in the corner, but Bryan moves out of the way. Bryan takes Wyatt and Rowan down with a double-dropkick. Bryan suplexes Harper from the top rope and goes for the cover, but Harper kicks out at two. Bryan delivers a series of kicks to Harper and then kicks him in the head, but Rowan gets back into the match. Bryan dropkicks Rowan over the top rope and then sends Harper to the outside as Wyatt is the legal man now. Bryan launches onto Harper on the outside and sends him over the announce table. Bryan goes up top and dropkicks Wyatt. Bryan goes for the Yes Lock on Wyatt, but Wyatt reverses and delivers a series of elbows to Bryan’s head. Wyatt plants Bryan with Sister Abigale and gets the pin fall.
Winners: The Wyatt Family.
After the match, Wyatt grabs Bryan and hugs him close as Rowan and Harper stand over them.
WWE Championship/World Heavyweight Championship Title Unification Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match: John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton (c)
Cena and Orton lock up and then Cena takes Orton down with a side-headlock take down. Cena drops Orton with a shoulder tackle. Both men go to the outside and Cena slams a ladder into Orton’s arm. Cena goes after a table and props it up in the corner in the ring. Orton gets back into the ring, but Cena catches him and sends him right back out. Orton grabs a chair and gets back into the ring. Orton goes to hit Cena with the chair, but Cena kicks him in the midsection. Orton comes back and smacks Cena with the chair. Both men go to the outside and Orton beats Cena down. Cena props up against the ring post and Orton swings the chair, but Cena ducks and Orton hits the ring post. Cena grabs the chair and hits Orton with it. Cena sets a table up on the outside and tries to suplex Orton through it, but Orton powers out and slams Cena into the steel steps. Orton sets a ladder up in the ring and begins to climb it. Orton gets a hand on the title belts, but Cena cuts him off. Cena gets Orton off the ladder and runs the ropes, but Orton takes him down with a dropkick. Orton drops a few knees on the back of Cena’s head. Orton takes Cena down with a power slam. Orton goes to the outside and tosses a steel chair and a ladder into the ring. Cena gets back to his feet and slams the ladder into Orton’s midsection. Cena sets the ladder up and begins the ascension. Orton gets to his feet and knocks Cena off the ladder. Orton goes to slam the ladder into Cena, but Cena ducks and Orton tosses the ladder to the floor. Orton quickly grabs a chair and begins to beat Cena down with it. Cena comes back with a shoulder tackle and the a side slam. Cena goes for the Five-Knuckle Shuffle, but Orton kicks him in the face. Orton slams Cena into the steel chair that was positioned in the corner. Orton grabs a ladder and sets it up in the ring. He climbes and grabs one of the titles, but Cena cuts him off. Cena slams Orton to the mat and delivers the Five Knuckle Shuffle from the ladder. Cena knocks Orton off the apron and through the table that was set up on the outside. Cena sets the ladder up in the ring again and begins to climb. Orton gets back into the ring quickly and gets Cena off of the ladder. Orton delivers an RKO in the ring. Both men fight to the outside and then Cena hits Orton in the head with the steel steps, and Orton is busted open. Cena hits Orton with the steps again and Orton is down and out on the floor. Cena circles the ring, but Orton gets to his feet and hits Cena with a microphone. Orton slams Cena down on the steel steps. Orton goes for the Punt on the outside, but Cena ducks and delivers the AA to Orton, who crashes through the Spanish announce table. Cena gets back into the ring and sets a ladder up underneath the title belts. Cena grabs the belts, but Orton moves the ladder and Cena is swinging from the belts. Orton hits Cena with a chair, and Cena falls to the mat. Orton attacks Cena with the chair, but Cena comes back and spears Orton through the table that was propped up in the corner. Orton goes to the outside and grabs a pair of handcuffs from under the padding on the outside. Orton handcuffs Cena to the bottom rope. Orton takes the key and throws it into the crowd. Orton goes to the outside and grabs a huge ladder as Cena tries to get the handcuffs off. Orton slides a ladder into the ring as Cena struggles on the outside. Cena rips the bottom rope and turnbuckle free from the ring and climbs the ladder with Orton. Cena punches Orton down to the mat and is left on the ladder alone. Orton grabs the rope and brings Cena off the ladder, and Cena hits his head on a table that was propped up in the ring. Orton climbs the ladder and unhooks the title belts and gets the win.
Winner and new WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Randy Orton.
After the match, Vince McMahon’s music hits and he comes to the ring along with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. Orton shakes hands with all three as Cena looks on from the outside. Orton holds the title belt high overhead as TLC comes to a close.
