The following match took place exclusively on WWE.com prior to the Cyber Sunday PPV:

R-Truth won with 59% of the vote over MVP and Festus.

WWE United States Championship Match
Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. R-Truth

R-Truth did his “What’s Up?” routine for quite a while. It is over though. The bell rings and here we go. Lock up and Benjamin pushes R-Truth to the corner. Another lock up, knee by Benjamin and a few right hands in the corner. R-Truth lands a few rights of his own, floats over, ducks and spinning heel kick on Benjamin. Cover by R-Truth and Benjamin quickly kicks out. Big right hand by R-Truth on Benjamin. Benjamin launches R-Truth into the ropes and follows that up with a huge boot to the head. Cover and R-Truth kicks out after two. Benjamin with a few shots to the back of the head and then applies a modified camel clutch. R-Truth fights back with a few elbows. Benjamin with a knee to the gut. R-Truth keeps the right hands up. Benjamin misses a splash in the corner and R-Truth connects with a few clotheslines and a big dropkick. Big corkscrew forearm by R-Truth on Benjamin. R-Truth goes up top, Benjamin jumps up, R-Truth tosses him away, jumps and connects with a huge missile dropkick. Cover by R-Truth and Benjamin kicks out after two. R-Truth hits the ropes and Benjamin catches him with The Pay Dirt. Cover by Benjamin and he gets the pinfall.

Winner & STILL WWE U.S. Champion: Shelton Benjamin

After the match, Shelton Benjamin throws the WWE United States Title over his shoulder and heads up the ramp staring down R-Truth who is just starting to recover in the ring.

WWE Cyber Sunday PPV Results – 10/26/08

– The WWE promo hits.

– A video package runs with a “political/get-out-the-vote” theme focusing on how the WWE Universe is in control with tonight’s PPV.

– A graphic opening hits welcoming us to Cyber Sunday. We go live to the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ where a display of pyro goes off in the entrance area. Michael Cole is the first to welcome us to the show calling tonight, “Entertainment’s greatest form of democracy.” First “entertainment” name drop of the night!

– Out first to kick off the show is Rey Mysterio. Todd Grisham reveals the three options tonight: No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere or 2-out-of-3 Falls. No Holds Barred won with 39% of the vote.

No Holds Barred Match
Rey Mysterio vs. Kane

The bell rings and Kane charges at Rey Mysterio. Mysterio ducks and lands a few kicks. Kane with a few forearms to the back of Mysterio. Mysterio with a dropkick to Kane holding onto the ropes and then pulls the ropes down causing Kane to fall to the outside. Mysterio then dives over the top rope and takes out Kane. Mysterio grabs a kendo stick and cracks it across the knee of Kane. Kane returns to the ring and Mysterio with another kendo stick shot to the knee. Mysterio attempts to hit Kane with a huge STOP sign, but Kane levels him with a big boot. Kane then tosses Mysterio to the corner who slides and hits the steel ring post. Kane with a baseball slide dropkick to Mysterio’s back with more force into the steel ring post. Kane leaves the ring and wraps a camera cable around the head and feet of Mysterio against the steel ring post. Kane then lifts up Mysterio and drives him back first into the steel ring post. Kane then grabs Mysterio, throws him back into the ring, hooks the leg and Mysterio gets a shoulder up after two. Kane with a boot to the head on the ground and kicks the kendo stick out of the ring. Kane then sends Mysterio with force into the corner and Mysterio bounces off.

Kane picks up Mysterio and plants him with a big scoop slam. Kane hits the ropes and drops a leg over the throat of Mysterio. Cover by Kane and Mysterio again gets his shoulder up after two. Kane with a backbreaker on Mysterio and then keeps Mysterio over his knee stretching him out. Mysterio with a few right hands. Kane then levels Mysterio with a big boot. Cover and Mysterio with another shoulder up. Kane then drives his knee into the back of Mysterio and stretches his arms back. Mysterio with a kick to the head. Mysterio backs up to the corner and lands a two big boots to Kane. Kane responds with a huge uppercut and another backbreaker. Kane again keeps Mysterio’s back over his knee and applies pressure. Mysterio rakes the eyes of Kane and lands a stiff kick to the head. Mysterio with a dropkick in the corner and a jumping bulldog on Kane. Mysterio with a kick to the back of the head and Kane falls into the ropes. Mysterio goes for the 619, but Kane quickly turns around and levels Mysterio with a clothesline. Kane covers Mysterio and Mysterio again gets a shoulder up. Kane then leaves the ring and grabs a steel chair at ringside. Kane throws the chair into the ring, but Mysterio drops Kane with a big kick.

Mysterio then takes out Kane with a big flipping spot and then grabs the steel chair dropping it over Kane with his body. Mysterio covers Kane, but only gets a two count. Mysterio goes up top, jumps, but Kane catches him with an uppercut. Cover by Kane and Mysterio gets a shoulder up after two. Kane leaves the ring and removes the top part of the steel steps. Kane throws this part of the steel steps into the ring and then kicks Mysterio in the head as he tries to recover. Kane sets the steel steps up in the corner, grabs Mysterio, Mysterio jumps off, Mysterio counters a chokeslam and then drop toe holds Kane into the steel steps. Mysterio connects with a West Coast Pop, covers, but Kane kicks out after two. Mysterio grabs the steel chair, hits Kane a few times and one final shot sends Kane into the ropes. Mysterio attempts another 619, Kane backs away, goes for another chokeslam, Mysterio counters into a huracanrana, Kane falls into the ropes, Mysterio with a 619 and West Coast Pop! Mysterio with the cover and gets the pinfall on Kane.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

After the match, we see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Rey Mysterio is celebrating his win at the top of the entrance ramp.

– At ringside Divas Halloween Costume Contest. Michelle McCool is an Army gear in honor of our troops. Katie Lea Burchill is a vampire. Lena Yada has a martial arts theme. Candice Michelle is Marilyn Monroe.

– Backstage, Chris Jericho asks for some help tonight from Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr. and Manu. Rhodes points out they may have to defend their titles later tonight. DiBiase Jr. said they are looking forward to his title defense later tonight.

– Todd Grisham introduces ECW General Manager Teddy Long with his assistant Tiffany. Long said he can’t wait to see what Tiffany looks like in her Halloween costume later tonight. He introduces the ECW Champion Matt Hardy. Grisham was able to run to ringside to join Matt Striker on commentary. They reveal who Hardy’s opponent will be tonight for the ECW Title. Evan Bourne won with 69% of the vote.

ECW Championship Match
Matt Hardy (c) vs. Evan Bourne

The bell rings. Both lock up and Bourne goes to work on Hardy’s left arm. Hardy counters into a headlock. Hardy with a shoulder block, second shoulder bock, but Bourne explodes with a huge dropkick. Another lock up and Bourne takes Hardy down into a headlock. Hardy fights out slamming Bourne down, attempting two covers and Bourne kicked out of each. Hardy attempts a third pin, Bourne bridges out and rolls up Hardy for a quick two count. Bourne with a sunset flip pin on Hardy and Hardy kicks out. Bourne counters a Side Effect into a quick cover that Hardy kicks out of. Bourne with a big kick to Hardy and then a quick huracanrana off the ropes. Hardy sends Bourne over the ropes. Bourne tries to springboard up, but Hardy nails him with a big forearm that says Bourne to the outside. Hardy sends Bourne back into the ring and nails him face first off the corner. Hardy with a big clothesline, cover and Bourne quickly kicks out. Hardy attempts a running bulldog, but Bourne counters and applies an armbar on Hardy. Hardy fights out and Bourne takes him to the ground again. Hardy is back to his feet, Bourne trips him up and hits a standing moonsault! Cover and Hardy again kicks out.

Bourne keeps the action on the ground applying a submission on Hardy’s left arm. Hardy with a few forearm shots to the back, but Bourne comes right back with a big kick to the head. Bourne goes up top, Hardy rolls away and Bourne is forced to jump down. Bourne then flips over, lands on the ring apron, Bourne attempts a springboard off the ropes, but Hardy trips up Bourne and Bourne crashes into the ropes hanging from them. Hardy throws Bourne back into the ring, covers and Bourne quickly kicks out. Hardy with a big scoop slam. Hardy with another big scoop slam. Hardy goes up top, lands a big elbow to the back on Bourne, covers and Bourne kicks out after two. Hardy with a modified abdominal stretch on Bourne into a surfboard. Bourne with a few more shots, but Hardy levels him with a big clothesline. Hardy then kicks Bourne in the gut with force. Hardy lifts Bourne up to his shoulders, but Bourne counters into a huge huracanrana! Bourne with a few elbows and kicks. Hardy then connects with the Side Effect, cover and Bourne kicks out! Hardy hits a second Side Effect, cover and Bourne somehow gets a shoulder up! Hardy then goes up top, but Bourne catches Hardy in mid-air with a big heel kick.

Bourne with a few kicks to the body on Hardy. Springboard moonsault from the corner on Hardy, but Hardy is able to kick out. Bourne with a jumping elbow and jumping kick to Hardy. Cover by Bourne and Hardy again kicks out. Bourne catches Hardy with an elbow, goes up top, jumps and catches Hardy’s head driving it down to the mat. Cover by Bourne on Hardy and Hardy barely kicks out after two. Hardy with a quick rollup on Bourne and Bourne rolls out. Bourne with a flipping spot over Hardy landing Hardy face first into the mat. Bourne then goes up top, but Hardy catches him with a few right hands. Bourne with some punches sending Hardy off. Bourne hits the 450 Splash, but Hardy moves. Hardy with a kick to the gut, but Bourne counters a Twist of Fate into a backslide pin that Hardy kicks out of. Hardy with a Twist of Fate, cover and he gets the pinfall over Bourne. Solid match.

Winner & STILL ECW Champion: Matt Hardy

After the match, Matt Hardy is handed the ECW Title and celebrates. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Hardy offers his hand to Evan Bourne. Hardy shows respect to Bourne for the great match.

– A promo for WrestleMania 25 tickets going on sale in 12 days airs.

– More Diva costumes. Beth Phoenix is a gladiator. Jillian is Batgirl. Maria is a bunny. Kelly Kelly is a sailor.

– Todd Grisham is back up on stage. We get to find out what tag team match we will get to see tonight. 38% of the vote went to Cryme Tyme vs. John Morrison & The Miz.

Cryme Tyme vs. John Morrison & The Miz

The bell rings and we start with JTG and John Morrison. Lock up, Morrison backs JTG to the corner, JTG then backs Morrison to the other corner and the referee breaks it up. Morrison with a headlock on JTG. JTG rolls through to break it up and lands a flying elbow. Cover by JTG and Morrison kicks out. Morrison with a few uppercuts, but JTG hits the ropes, slides and hits an uppercut of his own. The Miz gets the tag and JTG levels him with a dropkick. Tag to Shad. JTG irish whips Shad into Miz in the corner. Shad with a big scoop slam on Miz, cover and Miz kicks out. Shad with another scoop slam, tag to JTG and Shad flips JTG onto Miz that results in a two count. Miz with a shot to JTG’s throat and tag to Morrison. Double elbow to JTG by Morrison and Miz. Morrison kicks JTG in the head as he recovers. JTG with a big right to Morrison and tag to Shad. Shad launches JTG into Morrison who leaves the ring. Shad grabs Miz and sends him over the top rope into Morrison. Shad then picks up JTG and launches him over the top rope onto Morrison and Miz. JTG runs over and high fives Jerry Lawler. Shad throws Morrison into the ring, covers and Morrison kicks out. Morrison with a jawbreaker on Shad. Tag to Miz.

Miz goes to work on Shad’s knee after Morrison got it started. Tag to Morrison who kicks Shad in the chest. Morrison with a big kick to Shad’s leg that takes him off his feet. Morrison applies a half leg boston crab on Shad. Shad rolls through, tag to Miz and Miz grabs the knee of Shad again. Shad kicks Miz away to the corner. Tag to JTG. JTG dives over Miz and hits a flying blockbuster on Miz. JTG takes out Morrison on the ring apron and then drops Miz over his back. JTG is up top, Morrison distracts him and Miz levels JTG sending him to the ringside area. Miz throws JTG back into the ring, covers and JTG kicks out. Tag to Morrison. Miz and Morrison hit a double gut buster on JTG. Morrison with a big kick to JTG. Morrison chokes JTG over the middle rope mocking the fans. Morrison with a big kick to JTG’s head, cover and JTG again kicks out after two. Tag to Miz. Miz with a big boot to JTG’s gut. Miz with a splash clothesline on JTG, cover and another kick out by JTG. Miz goes to work on JTG’s left arm. JTG with a few shots to Miz. Tag to Morrison, Miz catapults JTG up and JTG hits Morrison off the ring apron. Tag to Shad. Shad levels Morrison and Miz with clotheslines.

Big boot by Shad on Miz and charge on Morrison. Shad then drops Morrison face first into the mat. Shad with a big charge on Morrison, cover and Morrison kicks out after two. Shad throws Morrison to the corner, but misses a splash. Morrison with a rollup using the ropes and JTG throws Morrison’s feet off the ropesto stop the pinfall. Miz throws JTG into the guard railing. Miz breaks up a pinfall by Shad on Morrison. Shad has Morrison up, but Miz interferes and Morrison drops Shad in the Midnight Run with the referee distracted with JTG. Morrison covers Shad and gets the pinfall.

Winners: John Morrison & The Miz

– Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler plug more Divas costumes. Tiffany is a nun. Brie Bella is Cleopatra. Natalya is a police officer. Eve is a Ninja Turtle.

– We go back to Todd Grisham on stage. We look at the stipulations for The Undertaker vs. The Big Show tonight: Knockout Match, I Quit Match and Last Man Standing Match. You can vote for this now on WWE.com.

– Backstage, Chris Jericho is asking someone to consider being in his corner tonight. The camera pans back and it is The Great Khali. Khali says something to Jericho. The Great Khali says: no.

– A promo looking at John Cena’s injury in August airs. John Cena will return at Survivor Series on November 23.

– Santino Marella is out now with WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix. “Unleash the Honk-A-Meter!”, says Santino. He plugs The Honky Tonk Man was Intercontinental Champion for 64 weeks, while he has been champion for 11 weeks. He said in one week…and one year, he will be the longest reigning IC champion “of-all-the-times.” Santino calls Phoenix the has-been capital of the world. He points out Shaq, who happens to be in the crowd and Santino stops right away. Santino wants the voting results right now from “Rod Grisham.” Todd Grisham reveals our choices: Roddy Piper, Goldust and The Honky Tonk Man. All three are all backstage. The Honky Tonk Man won with 35% of the vote, just barely beating out Roddy Piper who had 34% of the vote.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Santino Marella (c) vs. The Honky Tonk Man

Before the match starts, The Honky Tonk Man gets on the mic. Honky said Santino goes around comparing himself to him. Honky said he can’t sing like him, dance like him and could be IC champion for 10 years and never compare to The Honky Tonk Man. He tells him to stand back so he can show him how it is done. Honky demands his music get turned on and he begins dancing. He then tells Santino to dance. Santino does a strange dance and Beth seems nervous. Santino then gets in a cheap shot on Honky as the bell rings.

Lock up and Santino pushes Honky to the corner. Santino dodges a right hand from Honky and goes for another lock up. Honky gets a headlock on and a few big fists. Another headlock on Santino by Honky. Honky with a shoulder block on Santino leveling him. Honky attempts a right hand off the ropes, but Beth Phoenix trips him up and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner via DQ: The Honky Tonk Man
Winner & STILL WWE Intercontinental Champion: Santino Marella

After the match, Santino leaves the ring and yells at Beth Phoenix. She says she was just trying to help. As they go to leave, Goldust appears and walks toward Santino. Roddy Piper’s music hits and Piper walks out as well to a big ovation. Piper wants some of Santino. Santino then hits the ring. Honky hits him with a kick to the gut. Goldust with the Final Cut on Santino. Piper then lands a few lefts, poke to the eye and Honky hits Santino with The Shake, Rattle and Roll. Honky Tonk Man, Goldust and Roddy Piper all celebrate as Beth Phoenix checks on Santino.

– A promo airs promoting Monday Night Raw next week which celebrates 800 episodes.

– At ringside, we are joined by Jim Ross and Tazz. They plug the Divas Halloween Costume Contest. We see some more costumes tonight. Maryse is a French maid. Layla is “Princess Layla.” Victoria is a banana and does the “Peanut Butter Jellytime” routine. Seriously. Mickie James is Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.

– A video package airs hyping tonight’s match between The Undertaker and The Big Show.

– Back live, Todd Grisham is on stage and introduces Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero. She does the usual “EXCUSE ME” routine and presents to everyone her nephew Chavo Guerrero. Vickie asks for the results. Last Man Standing won with 49% of the vote. Vickie messed up and said the I Quit stipulation won, so they had her re-say all the options and she got it right the second time around. JR and Tazz called her on it right away which was entertaining.

The Undertaker vs. The Big Show

The bell rings and Taker lights up Big Show with a few right hands. Big Show tosses Taker over the top rope, but Taker hits him with a few rights when he follows him out. Big Show with some shots to the chest on Taker. Big Show then tosses Taker over the security railing in the timekeepers area. Big Show attempts a chop over the chest of Taker, but Taker drops Big Show down chin first over the guard railing. Taker then cracks a steel chair over the head of Big SHow. Big Show falls back and rolls into the ring. Taker follows and connects with a splash in the corner. Taker with a second splash on Big Show. Taker with a big boot, hits the ropes, but Big Show explodes with a huge clothesline leveling Taker. Big Show with a headbutt on Taker. Big Show with a few body shots to Taker in the corner and then another headbutt. Big Show with a third headbutt on Taker and a leg drop coming off the ropes. Big Show tells the referee to count. The referee gets to seven when Big Show attacks Taker as he gets to his knees. Big Show kicks Taker to the outside and hits another body shot against the steel ring post. Big Show attempts a chair shot, but Taker moves and Big Show hits the steel ring post instead.

Taker then grabs the steel chair and positions it under the throat of Big Show driving it right into the steel ring post! Big Show is down when the referee starts the count. The referee gets to eight and Big Show is up. Taker positions Big Show under the bottom rope along the ring apron. Taker walks across, runs, jumps and drops a leg over the throat/chest of Big Show. Taker hits the ring and hits a few body shots on Big Show. Big Show responds with a big clothesline on Taker. The referee starts the count on both men. Big Show is up first at five. Taker is up at eight. Big Show with another big headbutt followed by some big body shots. Big Show then lands a few kicks to the chest of Taker. Taker stands up and Big Show heads two quick headbutts. Taker with a big right on Big Show. Big Show responds with another headbutt. Another right by Taker. Another headbutt by Big Show. More rights from Taker. Big Show with body shots. Taker with more rights. Big Show with a knee to the gut and headbutt. Taker continues with the rights yet again. Chokeslam attempt by Taker on Big Show. Big Show attempts a chokeslam of his own. Taker counters Big Show’s chokeslam into a driving DDT. Big Show is down as the referee starts the count.

Taker stands up right away. The referee gets to nine and Big Show is up. Taker with some more rights. Big Show falls to the corner and removes the top turnbuckle pad. Big Show with a kick to the sternum and another headbutt. Big Show removes another turnbuckle pad. Taker sends Big Show chest first into that exposed corner and follows it up with a flying clothesline. Both men are down as the referee starts the count. Taker is up at seven. Big Show is up at nine. Taker misses a splash in the corner hitting the exposed turnbuckle and also hitting the steel steps on the way over the top rope. Big Show sends Taker face first into the steel ring steps. Big Show with more body shots on Taker. Big Show nails Taker’s head off the Raw announce table. Big Show then starts clearing away the ECW announce table. Big Show hits Taker with a TV monitor, clears the area more and then sends Taker over the guard railing. Big Show grabs a steel chair, attempts to use it, but Taker punches it into Big Show’s face. Taker stands up on the guard railing, but Big Show grabs him by the neck and chokeslams him through the ECW announce table! The referee starts the count. Taker is up at nine (a long nine as JR called it).

Taker sits up and staggers to return to the ring. Big Show tosses him in and Taker backs himself to the corner. Big Show with some body shots to Taker. Taker fights back with some right hands. Taker then catches Big Show with a DDT after coming off the ropes. Taker sits up as the referee starts the count. Big Show is up at six. Taker attempts Old School, but Big Show catches him in mid-air and connects with a big chokeslam. The referee starts the count. Taker is up at nine just barely. When Taker turns around Big Show catches him with a huge right hand. Taker goes down right away as the referee starts the count: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 – Taker sits up and Big Show leaves the ring. Taker is up at nine falling into the ropes. Big Show has a steel chair and cracks it over the head of Taker. Big Show then leans down to pick up Taker when Taker pulls him down and applies the gogoplata. Big Show starts tapping out right away, but the referee signals you can’t win that way. Big Show is out as the referee starts the count. The referee gets to nine. Taker is up and gets the win.

Winner: The Undertaker

After the match, a tired Undertaker falls to the corner. We see a shot of Chavo Guerrero wheeling Vickie Guerrero to the back. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, The Undertaker gets to his feet as Big Show leaves the ring. Undertaker takes a knee and poses.

– A promo for WrestleMania 25 airs.

– Backstage, Chris Jericho is with Raw GM Mike Adamle. Jericho thinks the odds are stacked against him tonight and that he has no chance of retaining his title. Adamle refuses to change the match stipulations.

– Tazz is in the ring and plugs the Divas Halloween Costume Contest tonight. The results are in, but before that we bring out the WWE Divas. Mickie James won the contest as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. All the Divas then start brawling in the ring. All the babyface Divas clear the ring of the heel Divas.

– A video package airs highlighting tonight’s WWE Championship Match where Triple H will defend against either Jeff Hardy, Vladimir Kozlov or both Hardy and Kozlov in a Triple Threat.

– WWE Champion Triple H is out first. We then go to Todd Grisham on the stage to get the results of who will face Triple H tonight. Jeff Hardy won with 57% of the vote.

WWE Championship Match
Triple H (c) vs. Jeff Hardy

The bell rings and here we go. Jeff Hardy gets the crowd going. Lock up and Triple H backs Hardy into the corner. Triple H backs off, the two circle and Hardy goes after Triple H’s left arm. Triple H with a drop to hold takedown on Hardy, but Hardy quickly takes Triple H’s back. Triple H with a headlock takedown on Hardy. Triple H with a shoulder block, but Hardy responds with a big hip toss. Deep arm drag takeover by Hardy on Triple H. Hardy floats over Triple H in the corner, Triple H dodges a Twist of Fate attempt and Hardy dodges a Pedigree attempt. Lock up, Triple H with a headlock takedown, Hardy rolls through, arm drag on Triple H and Hardy works on Triple H’s left arm. Triple H gets to his feet and backs Hardy to the corner to break it up. Hardy breaks and Triple H hits a few shoulder charges. Hardy catches Triple H with an elbow in the corner, goes up top and Triple H pushes him off sending Hardy into the guard railing on the outside. Hardy gets to his feet, slides in the ring and Triple H greets him with some quick kicks. Triple H sends Hardy shoulder first into the steel ring post in the corner. Triple H grabs Hardy, does this a second time, cradle and Hardy kicks out.

Triple H goes to work on Hardy’s left arm. Hardy with a kick to the face. Hardy attempts a dropkick to the chest, but Triple H dodges it. Triple H works on Hardy’s left arm again. Hardy with some body shots, but Triple H responds with a knee to the face. Hardy explodes with a jumping lariat clothesline on Triple H. Hardy with a takedown and double low blow to Triple H. Hardy kicks Triple H in the face coming off the ropes, cover and Triple H kicks out. Hardy with a suplex into a facebuster on Triple H. Cover by Hardy and Triple H kicks out after a close two count. Hardy with some big right hands to Triple H in the corner. Hardy with a splash clothesline on Triple H. Hardy attempts a jumping dropkick into Triple H, but Triple H grabs Hardy in mid-air and drives him down with a big spinebuster! Cover by Triple H and Hardy kicks out. Triple H counters a Whisper in the Wind into a Crossface on Hardy. Hardy gets close to the bottom rope. Triple H sees this, breaks the Crossface, pulls Hardy to the middle of the ring and locks the Crossface back on. Hardy counters the Crossface into a cradle that results in a close two count. Triple H then begins kicking Hardy with force sending him to the outside.

Triple H picks up Hardy, but Hardy counters and sends Triple H shoulder first into the steel ring steps. Hardy then jumps off the steel ring steps and dives into Triple H against the guard railing! Triple H rolls into the ring with the referee getting to nine. Hardy nails Triple H with the Whisper in the Wind. Triple H gets to his feet and Hardy hits a second Whisper in the Wind. Cover by Hardy and Triple H barely kicks out after two. Hardy with a big dropkick to Triple H in the corner. Cover by Hardy and Triple H kicks out after two. Hardy fires the crowd up as he backs off. Hardy attempts a TWist of Fate, but Triple H counters sending Hardy into the corner. Pedigree attempt and Hardy counters into a close pinfall that results in a two count. Triple H with a sleeper on Hardy, but Hardy sends Triple H into the corner. Hardy with a Twist of Fate on Triple H, cover and Triple H kicks out after two. Hardy goes up top and connects with the Swanton Bomb. Hardy goes back up top again attempting a second Swanton Bomb, but this time Triple H brings his knees up and Hardy crashes with force. Both get to their feet. Triple H attempts a Pedigree, but Hardy dropkicks Triple H away through the ropes to the outside.

Hardy springboards over the top rope and takes out Triple H. Hardy gets fired up slapping the Smackdown announce table. Hardy throws Triple H back into the ring, goes up top, but Triple H cuts him off. Triple H hooks the arms of Hardy, pulling him off the top rope and driving Hardy down into the mat with a Pedigree. Triple H hooks the leg and gets the pinfall.

Winner & STILL WWE Champion: Triple H

After the match, Jim Ross and Tazz talk about how close Jeff Hardy came again to becoming WWE Champion. Triple H gets to his feet as we see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Triple H is handed the WWE Title and holds it up in the air. Triple H leaves the ring as Jeff Hardy sits up clapping. Triple H nods in respect to Hardy as he poses one last time with the WWE Title.

– A promo looking at John Cena’s injury in August airs. John Cena will return at Survivor Series on November 23.

– A video package runs looking at tonight’s World Heavyweight Title Match between Chris Jericho and Batista.

– Out first is the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho. Out second is the challenger Batista. We go to Todd Grisham on the stage to see our choices for Special Guest Referee tonight: Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels or “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Stone Cold won with 74% of the vote. What a shock!

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Batista

Austin calls for the bell and Chris Jericho gets in his face right away. Jericho then slaps Batista. Batista lifts up Jericho and hits a few shoulder charges. Jericho hits the ropes, holds on and bails to the outside. Jericho starts heading to the back. Austin grabs a mic and says Jericho might think if he gets DQ’ed or counted out he will retain his title, but not tonight. He said Jericho will lose the title if any of that happens. Austin starts the count and Jericho sprints back to the ring. Batista explodes on Jericho right away sending him to the corner with force, hitting a slap and then a big high elbow after Jericho came off the ropes. Batista with a huge suplex on Jericho, cover and Jericho kicks out after two. Batista works on Jericho in the corner and then hits a big hip toss. Jericho then tosses Batista through the ropes to the outside. Jericho with a baseball slide to Batista. Jericho attempts a springboard dropkick when Batista returns to the ring apron, but Batista swats Jericho away. Jericho then goes to work on Batista’s knee kicking it and wrapping it up in the ropes. Jericho jumps out and hits Batista over the chest a few times.

Jericho returns to the ring, gets in Austin’s face, leaves the ring and then kicks Batista a few times. Jericho rolls Batista in the ring and goes to work on his knee. Jericho with a chop block taking Batista down still working on the knee. Jericho stands over Batista and starts slapping him. Batista with a big right to break that up. Batista with more rights, irish whip, misses a clothesline and Jericho with a big dropkick to Batista’s knee taking Batista off his feet. Jericho kicks the legs of Batista. Batista with some knees to Jericho’s head. Jericho jumps right back on Batista and applies a rear naked choke. Batista stands up and backs Jericho into the corner to break it up. Batista charges, Jericho dodges it and Batista hits the second turnbuckle face first. Jericho stands up over Batista in the corner, but Batista gets Jericho on his shoulders. Jericho counters out and gets a nearfall on Batista who barely gets a shoulder up. Jericho drops Batista’s knee off the mat and lands a few kicks to the body. Batista with a huge big boot that levels Jericho. Both men are down as Austin starts the count. Jericho is up at four. Batista gets up soon after.

Jericho hits some kicks. Batista with some big right hands. Batista with a clothesline on Jericho in the corner. Batista has Jericho up and connects with a big running slam. Batista favors his knee as Jericho trips up Batista and gets the Walls of Jericho locked on. Austin checks on Batista as Jericho breaks the Walls of Jericho and applies a half boston crab. Batista gets to the bottom rope and Austin has to pull Jericho off Batista to break the submission. Austin pushes Jericho away and flips him off. Jericho with more shots to the knee of Batista. Batista with a modified side slam on Jericho, cover and Jericho barely kicks out after two. Batista catches Jericho, throws him back down, attempts a Batista Bomb, Batista gets him up, Jericho grabs the ropes, slides over to the ring apron, kicks Batista, goes up top, jumps and Batista catches Jericho with a clothesline in mid-air! Batista with a cover and Jericho barely gets a shoulder up after two. Batista backs up to the corner as Jericho gets to his feet. Batista attempts a Spear, but Jericho dodges it and Batista hits the steel ring post in the corner. Jericho goes up on the second rope near the steel ring post, lifts Batista up top with him and Batista flips Jericho back into the ring.

Batista is up top and hits a flying shoulder block! Cover by Batista and Jericho gets a shoulder up after two. Jericho with a kick to the face, charges again, Batista catches him, attempts a spinebuster, but Jericho brings Batista down in a DDT. Cover by Jericho and Batista kicks out. Referee bump when Batista takes out Austin. Jericho hits the Codebreaker on Batista. Cover by Jericho. Shawn Michaels runs down in a referee outfit. Michaels counts two, but stands up and refuses to count the three. Jericho gets in Michaels’ face. Michaels teases Sweet Chin Music, but Jericho dodges, turns around and Batista hits Jericho with a Spear! Michaels goes to count, but JBL pulls Michaels out and levels him with a Clothesline From Hell. Batista looks to go after JBL when Jericho hits a chop block taking Batista down. Jericho looks around, leaves the ring, gets the World Title and in the ring Randy Orton runs down in a referee suit taking out Steve Austin. Jericho, in front of Orton, levels Batista hitting him with the World Title. Jericho covers Batista, Orton counts and Batista somehow kicks out. Austin with a Stunner on Orton. Austin attempts a Stunner on Jericho, but Jericho counters out. Batista with a spinebuster on Jericho and then a Batista Bomb. Cover by Batista, Austin counts, 1…2…3. Batista gets the win.

Winner & NEW World Heavyweight Champion: Batista

After the match, referee “Stone Cold” Steve Austin hands Batista the World Heavyweight Title. Austin raises Batista’s arm in the air as Batista holds up the World Title. Batista then goes up on the turnbuckle and holds the World Title high in the air. Batista celebrates with the fans heading to another corner. We then see highlights of the match leading to the finish. Back live, Austin opens a few beers and hands one to Batista. The PPV goes off the air with Batista pouring the beer over his head and holding up the World Heavyweight Title.
