Royal Rumble
Sunday, January 19th in Boston, MA
Opening Video: Benoit, Big Show, Edge, Jericho, Triple H and others talking about the importance of Royal Rumble as the SuperBowl of professional wrestling.
Match #1 – Spot for Royal Rumble – Brock Lesnar vs. Big Show with Paul Heyman Brock is feisty. He goes after the Big Show with a vengeance and gets the huge thing off his feet in no time. He throws him and Paul Heyman is in shock. Big Show throws Brock out of the ring in retaliation. Big Show now chops Brock in the ring and tosses him. He begins to manhandle Brock. Brock is faster and pulls off a German suplex. Brock takes a cheap shot at Heyman. Heyman grabs a leg. Big Show takes advantage of the interference. Lesnar’s intelligence gets him a near fall. Lesnar pulls Pauly over the top rope and into the ring. The attached piece is used for a lift and he sets up Paul for an F-5 but Big Show stop it. Big Show pins but only gets a two count. It gets wild. Brock knocks Paul off the apron. Lesnar gives Big Show the F-5 and wins the match.
WINNER: BROCK LESNAR – he goes to the rumble! (Brock holds his back as if in pain)
Interview: Terri asks Jericho about the rumble and his choice for his entry. Jericho says that McMahon gave HBK the #1 number but he is still the undisputed champion and took the #2 spot. He says he will rise to the occasion tonight and throw 29 superstars over the top rope and fulfill his destiny at Wrestlemania!
Match #2 – Dudleys vs. William Regal and Lance Storm
Lance Storm and Bubba Ray start it off. Bubba has him tied up and Regal comes in to help out Storm. Tag is made and Dvon comes out and adds to Storm’s pain. Storm makes the tag to Regal. Dvon knocks to the ground and the pace picks up. Regal takes control of Dvon and takes him to his corner. Dvon wants a tag as he has been isolated in the wrong corner. Bubba finally gets the tag and makes quick work of Regal and knocks him out of the ring. He suplexes Storm and gets a near fall. Regal comes back in and now Bubba is dealing with them both. He gives Storm a Bubba slam. Bubba gets a two count on Storm. Regal interferes. Dvon gets a tag and now the tongues come out for Dvon’s flying head butt. After the double team, Dvon only gets a near fall on Storm. Now Morley comes out down the ramp. Bubba knocks Morley off the apron. Regal has his knucks but gets the 3-D. Bubba somehow gets Regal’s knucks. Dvon pins Storm and it is all over.
WINNERS: BUBBA RAY AND DVON DUDLEY – NEW TAG CHAMPIONS

Match #3 – Stepdaughter vs. Stepmother Match – Dawn Marie vs. Torrie Dawn Marie starts it off. Torrie goes ballistic. The girls fight on. In a short time, Torrie is victorious. Dawn screams it is not over.
WINNER: TORRIE WILSON
Backstage: Steph runs into Randy Orton and Eric Bischoff. Steph rags on Eric to tell him that she is saying good bye since he will be leaving in 30 days. Eric says that he has an atomic bombshell and not to feel so secure. She also reminds him that since she is a McMahon blood does matter. Eric does not seem too worried.
Match #4 – Triple H vs. Scott Steiner – Raw Championship The two start slugging it out and it gets brutal from there. The action moves to the outside. Steiner makes sure he does not get counted out as he works on Triple H on the outside. The match moves back to the ring and Steiner delivers chops. Steiner remains dominant. Triple H uses Steiner’s own momentum to knock him down. Triple H has the opportunity and takes it. The match continues. Steiner seems to have the edge despite interference and cheerleading from Flair. Surprisingly, Flair grabs the champion and the belt and tries to leave. Steiner follows them up the ramp. Triple H tries to hit Steiner with the belt. Steiner counters and Triple H’s forehead is opened up. With blood streaming, Triple H is taken back to the ring area. Now, Triple H tries the leave through the crowd. Steiner again tracks him down like a bounty hunter and throws him into the announcers table. Steiner mocks Triple H with push-ups back in the ring. Triple H is doing everything to get a disqualification, but Hebner sees through the Game. Flair is freaking out on the outside. The ref is watching Flair. Triple H gives Steiner a low blow, but only gets a two count. True to form, the Game goes under the ring and goes to get his famous sledgehammer. He hits Steiner and Hebner calls for the DQ. He tries to hit Steiner again but Hebner stops him. Steiner gets the sledgehammer and uses it on Triple H and Flair. Steiner puts Triple H in a Steiner Recliner and the refs cannot get Triple H loose. Bischoff has to come in and beg Steiner to let him go.
WINNER: STEINER BY DQ
In the ring: Team Angle gets removed from the area by the refs.
Match #5 – Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle (with Team Angle) The playing field now even, Chris and Kurt lock up. Kurt leaves the ring immediately afterward. The match is fast. Angle goes for the sleeper. Kurt quickly gets out. Benoit goes for a sharp shooter. Angle goes for the ropes. Benoit focuses on the injured knee. The match continues. Benoit pops a DDT on Angle on the apron. Angle is bleeding, but still seems focused. The action continues in the ring. The two return to technical wrestling. Benoit goes for a series of Germans. Angle switches and goes for his, then Benoit takes over again. Angle belly to belly suplexed Benoit off the top rope, but then Benoit goes for the cross face. Angle is hurting. Angle gets out and goes for the ankle lock. Benoit gets out and goes for the cross face again. Angle gets a near fall and then goes for the ankle lock again. Benoit gets out. Benoit goes for a roll up and gets his own near fall. Benoit connects with a flying head butt and scores another near fall. Angle gets in a slam and he gets a near fall. The crowd is going wild! Angle goes for an ankle lock and will not let go. The ankle lock does the trick! Benoit finally has to tap out.
WINNER: KURT ANGLE
Backstage: Kane reminds RVD that it is every man for himself.
Royal Rumble Announcement and Rules
Number 1: Shawn Michaels
Number 2: Chris Jericho – coming in from behind but Christian on the stage. Jericho attacks with a low blow and attacks HBK wildly. Jericho goes for a chair and nails Michaels. Michaels is bleeding from the forehead. The ref takes the chair away. Michaels is down and then ….
Number 3: Chris Nowinski
Chris wisely tells Jericho to go ahead with his business and watches Jericho attack Michaels.
FIRST OUT: SHAWN MICHAELS
Number 4: Rey Mysterio
(Chris Jericho, Chris Nowinski and Rey in the ring)
Nowinski stays on the outside. Jericho works on Rey.
Number 5: Edge
(Edge, Chris Jericho, Chris Nowinski and Rey in the ring)
Edge is thrown into the turnbuckle but falls in between not over the ropes to the outside. Rey misses with the 619. Mysterio works on Edge. Edge blocks a hurracanrana and turns it into a powerbomb.
Number 6: Christian
(Christian, Edge, Chris Jericho, Chris Nowinski and Rey in the ring)
Christian tries to cozy up with Edge, but fails. Chris gets flying drop-kicks from Rey and Edge. He is hurting in the corner.
Number 7: Chavo Guerrero
(Chavo, Christian, Edge, Chris Jericho, Chris Nowinski and Rey in the ring)
Rey connects with the 619 on Chavo and then Christian. Nowinski catches Rey, but ends up getting eliminated. Rey tries to recover, but Jericho knocks him out.
SECOND AND THIRD OUT: CHRIS NOWINSKI AND REY MYSTERIO
Number 8: Tajiri
(Tajiri, Chavo, Christian, Edge, and Chris Jericho in the ring)
Christian works on Tajiri. Edge works on Jericho. Chavo is hanging out and then works on Jericho.
Number 9: Bill DeMott
(DeMott, Tajiri, Chavo, Christian, Edge, and Chris Jericho in the ring)
DeMott explodes and hammers everyone in the ring. He goes at Jericho and then turns to Edge.
Number 10: Tommy Dreamer
(Dreamer, Tajiri, Chavo, Christian, Edge, and Chris Jericho in the ring)
Dreamer comes in with weapons and starts with the kendo sticks. Christian and Jericho throw Dreamer out. Jericho gets rid of Tajiri after a failed tarantula.

RVD comes in to attack Jericho, the only man remaining in the ring, with only one third of the men in. RVD gives Jericho rolling thunder. RVD almost gets rid of Jericho.
Number 13: Matt Hardy
(Matt Hardy, RVD, Jericho in ring)
Matt goes after RVD. Jericho is enjoying the rest. Jericho then decides to help Matt eliminate RVD. RVD is not liking this, and takes action. Jericho misses with a moonsault. Matt almost gets rid of RVD, but RVD saves himself.
Number 14: Eddie Guerrero
(Eddie G., Matt Hardy, RVD, Jericho in ring)
RVD goes after Eddie in the ring. Matt helps Eddie recover and go after RVD … for a moment.
Number 15: Jeff Hardy

Shannon Moore helps Matt from the outside stay in. Shannon then runs in to beg Matt not to jump on Jeff, but he does.
Number 16: Rosey

Number 17: Test

Test almost got rid of Jericho. RVD still working hard. Rosey eyeing Jeff as prey (or possibly lunch)
