Biography
– Copani began his career wrestling as ‘Mark Magnus’
– On October 15, 2003, Magnus defeated Johnny Jeter to win the OVW Heavyweight Title
– In November, Copani signed a WWE development deal. Since he was competing in OVW already, he remained with the promotion whilst training with WWE
– Copani began working Raw branded house shows as ‘Muhammad Hassan’ in September 2004
– Muhammad Hassan made his Raw debut on the November 1, 2004 episode
– At New Year’s Revolution 2005, Hassan defeated Jerry Lawler
– Hassan was drafted to Smackdown in June 2005
– Following an ill-conceived pseudo-terrorism angle, that just so happened to air on the same day as the 7/7 London Bombings, the Hassan character was removed from television due to pressure from television networks
– Hassan made one final appearance at the 2005 Great American Bash, losing to The Undertaker to wrap up their feud
– Copani was released from his WWE deal on September 21, 2005 and he immediately retired from wrestling and became a history teacher in New York state
– Copani returned to wrestling as the Muhammad Hassan character in April 2018 for Dynasty Wrestling, defeating Papadon
– On June 2, 2018, Hassan defeated Bin Hamin to win the vacant Dynasty Heavyweight Title, but would immediately vacate the title again ‘as he could not commit to a regular schedule of events’
– After one more match (a victory over Sean Carr), Hassan left the wrestling business once again, unable to juggle his school commitments with his wrestling commitments
