Biography
– Murakawa began his career in UWF, working briefly under his real name before becoming ‘Masa Michinoku’
– Murakawa spent late 1991 into early 1992 in Mexico’s UWA, where he would compete as ‘Ninja Sasuke’
– Upon his return to Japan, Murakawa adopted the masked ‘Super Nino’ gimmick
– By the fall of 1992, Murakawa was competing full-time as ‘The Great Sasuke’
– Sasuke announced the founding of Michinoku Pro Wrestling in October 1992, though the company would remain dormant until the following March. Notably, this was the first Japanese independent promotion based outside of Tokyo
– On November 20, 1992, Sasuke & Gran Hamada defeated Villano IV & Bulldog K.T. to win the UWA/UWF Intercontinental Tag Team Titles
