– Spillane began his career working as Mike Quackenbush, occasionally shortened to M Quackenbush
– On May 31, 1996, Quackenbush defeated The Perfect Creation to win the USCW Junior Heavyweight Title
– On June 28, Quackenbush defeated Hurricane Holmes to retain the USCW Junior Heavyweight Title

He would announce shortly thereafter that he had no plans to return to the ring, however, former Quackenbush masked personas ‘El Hijo del Ice Cream’ and ‘Darkness Crabtree’ would remain active through to Quackenbush’s return announcement in 2016, so it is possible that he remained at least semi-active after his injuries had recovered
– Quackenbush made his ‘official’ return to the ring on May 28, 2016, fighting Johnny Kidd to a draw in a World Of Sport Rules Match
– In June 2020, amid allegations against him in the Speaking Out movement, Quackenbush announced that he was closing Chikara and stepping down from all his training roles
