- The 3/21 Smackdown in Canada aired at midnight due to The Score airing the NCAA basketball tournament. The show drew 44,000 viewers (or about a 0.5 rating). ECW in Canada for the week drew 127,000 viewers (or a 0.8 rating). On a side note, The Score is only available in about 57% of the Canadian homes.
- The 3/28 edition of Friday Night Smackdown scored a 2.3 broadcast rating, which was the final WWE wrestling show before Wrestlemania XXIV.
- New WWE CFO George Barrios, 42, received a starting salary of $500,000 per year, and if profits reach target levels in 2008, he will earn a $250,000 bonus. Barrios was also given 25,000 shares of WWE stock (worth about $460,000).
- For the month of January, WWE averaged 4,864 fans at live events, down 22% from January 2007. The average live gate in January was $165,376.
- Bodog appears to be on its last legs after losing $38 million last year. Bodog has already let many of its employees go.
