- After months of fighting and $600,000 later, the family of Chris Benoit and that of Nancy have finally reached an agreement on the estate left by the former World Heavyweight champion. Michael Benoit - father of Chris - said that the two parties agreed to split everything in half, with one half going to the two kids of Chris from a previous marriage and the other half going to Nancy's family. Although it's only a verbal agreement, Benoit said that everything is ready and all that's left are signatures on papers. The two parties have been fighting for months on who will get control of the estate which includes bank accounts, properties and other items. A few weeks ago Michael Benoit approached WWE to pay up $2 million to the two kids to avoid legal action, which WWE totally refused.
