- An exert from People magazine's "Chris Benoit's Final Days" piece. (Issue dated 7/16): Years before their 2000 marriage, Nancy Benoit was charged with aggravated battery after, according to her then husband, wrestling Kevin Sullivan, she came after him with a knife. She admitted holding the knife, but the charge from the 1997 episode was eventually dropped.

- Fox 5 in Atlanta reported that Drug agents were investigating the death of Mike Durham (Johnny Grudge), who died in February 2006 at the age of 40. Durham was one half of the tag team, Public Enemy. Durham died from a coronary artery blockage and morbid obesity. Investigators said that the day before Durham's death, Dr. Astin had prescribed 120 tablets of Soma, but when they found the bottle, it was empty.

- Reports suggested that Booker T wasn't in favor of moving from Smackdown to Raw.

- Cody Runnels defeated Shawn Spears to capture the OVW TV title.

- Every Lucha Libre magazine gave major coverage to the Vince McMahon "death" angle.

- Rob Van Dam, Chris Jericho, and Rey Mystero were contacted by AAA to work the TripleMania show. All three turned down the invite. Mysterio was interested, but WWE nixed it.

- According to a new survey compiled by wrestling historian John Lister (for a British paper), 104 pro wrestlers have died in the past ten years. The survey also indicts that 40 of the 104 were full-time wrestlers in the United States and Canada.
