- Chris Benoit strangled his wife and smothered his son before hanging himself in his weight room, a law enforcement official close to the investigation told The Associated Press.

- During a press conference, the police said that Benoit killed his wife on Friday, his son shortly after, and likely hanged himself either late Saturday night or early Sunday. District Attorney Scott Ballard stated that a Bible was placed near each murder victim.

- Ballard said that there were needle marks in Daniel’s arm, suggesting he was taking growth hormones for quite sometime.

- Text messages from Benoit indicated that Nancy and Daniel were sick (probably sent when Nancy and Daniel had already been killed), and one messaged indicated that the pets needed to be let out.

- It was learned that Nancy Benoit filed for divorce in 2003 to Benoit temper tantrums. It was also reported that Benoit had previously been arrested for a DUI.

- WWE canceled the tour of western Canada that was scheduled for July 14th-17th so that Raw can be held in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 16th.
