Interview with Missy Hyatt

Interview conducted: February 1999

Before Sable and Sunny became wrestling sweethearts, the vivacious Melissa Hiatt, known to her fans as Missy Hyatt, graced the wrestling scene.

Missy has aligned herself with some of the elite stars in the industry, including, Ric Flair, Sting, the Steiners, the Nasty Boys, and the PitBulls.

I recently had the opportunity to conduct an interview with the beautiful Missy Hyatt.

SG: Is there any chance we will see Missy Hyatt with either WCW, WWF, and/or ECW in 1999?
MH: WCW is this a joke? As for WWF or ECW, not a chance. I am in school, and getting married this summer.

SG: How and when did you break into the business?
MH: 1985 in World Class.

SG: As a huge Eddie Gilbert fan, I really miss seeing him in the ring and giving interviews. How do you think people should remember him?
MH: People should remember him the way they want to. I remember him as a great wrestler and a nice person who taught me a lot.

SG: What was the outcome of your lawsuit against WCW, and do you have any regrets on the matter?
MH: My lawsuit was concluded In December 1994 and I am happy with the conclusion.

SG: Who are you closest to in the business?
MH: I don't have many friends in the business.

SG: What is your opinion of the current direction of the more adult oriented WWF?
MH: I am sorry but I don't watch it much, I do know the WWF is the best and always will be, even with Ted's (Turner) millions. Vince kicks his [butt] every day!

SG: What is presently going on in your life?
MH: I am in school and only 22 credits away from Medical school. I assist the best plastic surgeon in the world, Brad Jacobs. You have you seen SP's (Scott Putski's) nose, cheeks, lipo of the stomach (abs) and his gyno (chest) that is my MD's work.

SG: What do you like to do in your spare time away from the ring?
MH: Hang with my guy, we just bought a new loft and while school is out for me we are going home to Florida to see my family for a few days, but I basically have a normal life, I work, come home, do dinner and we go to the gym etc. boring stuff.

SG: Whatever happened to Sunshine and Dark Journey?
MH: I think Sunshine is in Tampa and DJ (Dark Journey) in California, but I am not sure.

SG: Who was your favorite person or persons to manage? Who would you most like to manage now?
MH: I had the most fun with the PitBulls, why they aren't in the WWF just blows my mind. Now I would be happy to have and manage a couple of kids......

SG: Are you anything like the character you portrayed on television?
MH: Yea right, that is why I have a 3.9 GPA, you figure it out.

SG: What do you miss most about the sport? What do you miss least?
MH: The only thing I miss is a steady paycheck, least the egos.
