Biography

– Velez began her career in Puerto Rico’s WWC promotion in the mid-2000s, wrestling initially as ‘Sexy Juliet’
– In 2008, Velez began wrestling regularly in the mainland USA
– In 2009, Sexy Juliet became Juliet The Huntress
– On September 5, 2009, Juliet defeated December to win the vacant VWAA Womens Title
– On September 18, Juliet defeated Kimberly Kash & Lilith Valiant to retain the VWAA Womens Title
– On November 3, Juliet defeated Lilith Valiant to retain the VWAA Womens Title
– In March 2011, Velez was announced as one of the fourteen contestants for the revival of Tough Enough. On the May 10 edition on Tough Enough, Vélez was eliminated from the competition due to an injury.
– After being cut from Tough Enough, on November 11, 2011, Vélez signed a contract with WWE. She was assigned to FCW, and given the ring name of Sofia Cortez.
